They still managed to significantly improve the mechanics in Kotor 2 and New Vegas though.
Sure, the basic structure was fixed. While true they still had to stick to D20 for KotOR 2 and the fps Bethsda Fallout for New Vegas.
i laughed when i saw Sawyer in the achievement art
That Sawyer face is avatar-worthy.
Edit:
Act 1 spoilers:
Glancing at this thread, killing Raedric seems to be significantly more diffcult than killing Kolsc(I just dropped a meatball + a few fan of flames and everyone was dead)
I just got this after alt-tabbing back into the game:
*snip*
Curse of the Labyrinth?
So I got a message that "Soandso arrived at Caed Nua, looking for work"
Do I have to find this guy and talk to him? Not quite sure what I need to do here. Also I wish I could manage Caed Nua on the road, having to return there every time seems a bit pointless.
Do you have any companions out of the party, so they are based at the stronghold? Now that I have 5 written companions, I kicked my bought priest out and she is now based there. Some annoying guy turned up and I was able to assign her to escorting him off the property while I was on the road.
Act 1 bossRaedric is kicking my ass. The second the fight starts I'm completely surrounded. I didn't have much trouble with the rest of the area. I only have 5 characters though so I'll go recruit a 6th person. Maybe that'll make things easier.

If that's a bug then it's one of the coolest bugs I've seen in a while.
Waiting for a mod that'll let me have more then one pet. I have four right now, and I want them all.
No, I only have 5 companions and didn't make any new ones. Waiting for somebody so I can kick that useless Priest out of my party though.
I am doing something very wrong lol. I am getting wrecked in the temple below town so I decided to go to the woods and now a group of 6 wolves is murdering me .

What difficulty level are you on? If normal, you should be able to clear the temple with your party of 3. If hard, go to the inn and hire an extra adventurer (or two).

Then when ranged characters come into play, you can erase a few whooshes but result is the same.AD&D is very difficult for people to get into. Huge manuals full of tables ripped from Players Guides and Dungeonmasters Guides dont really do much to explain things. For those mechanics its best to learn in a test play session or three but, as Coxswain mentioned, those rules dont translate to video games well. It also doesnt help that the start of Baldurs Gate is pretty much dogshit where nothing interesting happens and there is a very real possibility that you and an assassin might trade misses with each other for 20-30 seconds
*whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh**whoosh* *HIT* "You have died. Game Over!"
I was able to do the temple thanks to my 2 tanks and 2 mages (lvl 2 and 3)
Those damn specters seems to only die fast with magic spells.
The 2 tanks were able to share the damages so Eder will not die faster than light by being solo tank.
My 5th character is a priest but she is unable to do a lot things since she is restricted at the moment only 2 or 3 spells. So the majority of the time she do basic attacks... since I was saving her spells for big pack of mobs.

I can't decide between Chanter or Cipher for my character aaahhhh. Whenever I play games like this, always struggle with character creation options.
As in it's super easy later on??
The former, I think. I don't know whether it's 25% of the damage before or after DR etc., though. Or whether there's a separate hit roll. Try hitting with it and then looking at the math in the combat log.So, just so I am understanding weapon buffs correctly;
If a weapon has an enchant that says +25% Crush damage, does that mean it does +25% Crush damage in addition to its normal damage or that it does +25% extra crush damage if it does Crush Damage?
Ex: The sword, Justice, does Slash/Pierce damage but has Crushing Lash: +25% Crush Damage.
I dunno how Ciphers are but Chanters are a very passive class, you do basically nothing until you have 3 Phrases in and then you can use 1 active ability.I can't decide between Chanter or Cipher for my character aaahhhh. Fan of Flames is your friend.Fuck Shades.
That is all.
Eder is one of my favorite RPG characters in a long time.
stupid sexy Eder
Hmm I fixed brighthollow in my stronghold but it's still ruined and I don't seem to be able to get my rest bonus from it like I should.
It's not super easy, but it definetely could be more challenging, especially on Hard difficulty.
Am I missing graphical options somehow? I have this new card and jacked up the resolution as high as it would go to downsample to my 1080p monitor, everything looks great, but there are no other options I am seeing.

It's clearly a bug, if you alt-tab while looking at the map it doesn't restore the texture correctly. Fixes itself if you reopen the map.If that's a bug then it's one of the coolest bugs I've seen in a while.
there are no grafix options, just rezolution
Probably going to play a bit since I just beat Bloodborne and I kinda want to wait for more things to be discovered before doing my 2nd runthrough.
