First we get a new season of Twin Peaks and now you're telling me there's going to be a new Pink Floyd Album?

Sweet.

I've always been a fan of Division Bell, probably thanks to growing up with parents who were big Pink Floyd fans, so I'm really, really liking the new track.

I just love Gilmour's tone and it's great to be able to listen to a Pink Floyd track and not know what's coming next in terms of Rick and Dave's playing.

New song pretty much confirmes this being a Gilmour album with the PF name.

Momentary Lapse was definitely mostly Gilmour, but Division Bell and Endless River are Gilmour+Wright+Mason all the way.

Wright is going to have 12 writing credits on this album, up from his 5 writing credits on The Division Bell.

So gaf, did you guys heard the album? I know it's officially out tomorrow but I'm sure a couple of people went the short road.

I stayed up until midnight as Australia got the release on the 7th.

Fucking love the album.

There are some section that I feel could benefit from some vocals, but on the whole I really got a kick out of it.

Love all the throwbacks, especially Nick's Saucerful section.

Also Rick's Royal Albert Hall recording from 1968 is stunning.

Another thing to check out is the bonus tracks, Nervana is a 5 and a half minute rockin' jam session.

Just started listening - Like it much better than expected so far, especially since I never liked The Division Bell very much (one of a few Pink Floyd albums that I never bought).

Holy shit... this album is amazing!

I'd say this truly is a 'real' PF album, definitely not just a shitty, cash grab mixtape which I feared.

All in all; My expectations were exceeded and fans of PF ought to give this a listen!

I actually love The Division Bell, it's grown with me heavily over time and cemented my preference for Gilmour-era Floyd over Waters' more influential tenure with The Wall and The Final Cut (though I still group Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and Animals into the best period of the band), so I was quite excited for this release.

I think people who expect more of a "regular" kind of album will be disappointed but for the people who are attuned to the final Pink Floyd escapades they'll probably find a deal to like here. It's less of a swan song and more of an extended goodbye from the band. It's far from the band's best but it feels like distant echoes from a time when Pink Floyd were still active and inspiring the world. I don't know how to best describe it, I suppose it would be... nostalgic?

It feels so surreal listening to new Floyd material in this day and age, and it's completely genuine. I realize this is the end of the line as far as the band goes but it's a really lovely sendoff. Richard Wright really deserved more after the fallout, and this tribute is a lovely way to finally pay some respects. Many of the songs here really emit his spirit. Side 3 and 4 are absolutely beautiful and I love the little call backs to The Division Bell.

My thoughts exactly! Gilmour's guitar is really something else and the album's atmosphere is amazing. It's really a Division Bell part deux and I LOVE it.
