Lttp: just finished watching the ms conference.

I know i sound crazy but I am livid right now. For the amount of money this game has already made there is no reason to sell out to sony or microsoft.

I abhore 3rd party exclusivity, and if i could refund on steam right now i would.

I would not put any more faith behind this PlayerUnknown guy. This move just shows he only cares about money.

Glad my microsoft friends get to play, but sucks for all my friends i was hyping on ps4 l. Feel like a dumbass for being so positive on the game to them.

This and Sony not allowing cross play are going to ruin e3 for me.

I did military/school/george drops for a week just to mix things up and while its fun, I can't help but enjoy starts where i go off the path and get looted then play mid/endgame. The chances of dying to guns not loading in and only getting a pistol/smg against a shotty can make busy drops more trouble than they're worth.

The best runs are where you find nothing and do horribly but somehow still end up in the top 10.

How is the endgame hit scoring counted? I thought it was damage done, but I definitely shot someone for a couple of single hits with an assault rifle, blood splashes and everything, and then tagged them again later, but the game only gave me 8 points and they promptly killed me.

Does anyone seriously wear the ultra bright white / red / cyan shirts? I have to imagine they make you more visible unless there's some trick of being against the sky with a cyan shirt.

Also every time I put on a padded jacket, the fluffy collar gets in my vision and annoys me so I have to throw it away.

You should try out the game by buying it on steam and play a few rounds (make sure to not play for more than 2hrs or else you cannot refund) and try it out for yourself. If it doesn't run well, refund it.

Judging by your specs your PC might get the game to run at close to 60fps although it's hard to judge it considering mobile CPU's and mGPU's are different to desktop HW.

I second this advice but make sure to turn everything on Low / Very Low besides view distance and textures before checking your frame rate.

Zombies in Battlegrounds.

I wouldn't be too worried about the zombies. They said they were inspired by PUBG partners which means they're talking about that custom game mode where it's 96 people as zombies vs 4 humans.

So I bet it'll either be that or just roaming zombies, but the point is that it'll be a separate game mode and not just in the base game.

That's just a guess obvbiously but PlayerUnknown knows these games well enough that he's not just going to shoehorn zombies into the base game.

I hoped I had escaped zombies leaving Day-Z. I really dislike zombies, so I hope the main game remains zombie-free.

Have they mentioned if client optimization is even on the roadmap? More than anything else I'm hoping there's a tiny bit more performance they can squeak out of the client.

Hey there, got different CPU and RAM to you but I've got the same GPU - game is playable for me on low and above (not maxed out but decent enough) with a 6700HQ, 960M 4GB and 16GB RAM. I can't remember if the i5 6300HQ is a quad core off the top of my head, but I know one of my friends has been playing it with a dual core and a worse GPU, so I'd say you should be good to go

been trying to get a w with just the 1911 and holy shit its underpowered

ive only gotten to #2 (3 times) by only taking fights against people fighting someone else or just looking the wrong way but having to fight the last guy is more or less impossible because hes only focused on you

i get why pistols are (should be) underpowered in a game like csgo but what gameplay reason is there for pistols to blow in battle royale games? i mean like i get the game is supposed to be realistic but in what world does it take 5 shots to an unprotected stomach to kill someone

Yep, player-controlled is confirmed, and it definitely won't be in the base mode, but its own separate mode.

That setup will run it fine, dude. I mean, those are medium to high specs, what makes you think it will chug?
What's probably more important is if you have an SSD.

oh shit - good thing I was too slow to ever really make inside them. The game just kept telling me to go to the area marked on the map, so the red circles was what I initially decided to go for.

But, I'm pretty sure it was just staying inside the giant white circle. Anyways, I got one kill at least and died 28th by dumb luck I guess. Definitely seems like a promising game!

edit: I assume it's ok to leave the match after you're dead or no?

Played 2 games, won the first one. Second one I started lagging super hard. Now all my games are pure lag and unplayable...

Nothing has changed.... game isn't even taking resources really and still lagging.

Finally nabbed a dinner, and since I was streaming there's a clip. Made it to the final 6 personally, but I didn't get the final kill (or any kills, somehow). Match right after that, we came in 2nd, but I died to the red zone super-early.

And then, of course, you have your days where you don't even survive to the first circle. Such highs and lows.
