Long range kills are or were bugged in squad games so that if you down someone and then drive away, when they finally die it calculates the distance at that point.

again this is not something unique to the PC community, you just haven't played a game where that's possible on console.
You can restrict voice chat to just your squad in the settings.

And don't forget the game mute, if the gun sounds during pre-game are annoying you, believe its control-m, just remember to turn it off before you parachute to the ground

At least here in Australia it's mainly Aussie swearing so it's pretty meh. But I just have my voice muted, no point when I squad with friends only.
Also everyone playing FPP makes me even more jealous. Please hurry up and bring it to OCE PlayerUnknown!
consoles were this bad before party chat came about, halo 2, halo 3, and cod4 especially.

So, my speakers are "USB" speakers. Then my PC tower has inputs for headphone jack and microphone jack.
None of it is picking up the mic, and this mic works perfectly fine on PS4.
I feel like its something to do with "Realtek" which I don't really know what it is. Tried everything I could in device manager and enabling disabling devices.
For some reason, I can't find the Realtek app, is that why?
And Ive done the slider dragging, thanks.

It had it all, an interesting start, a dart for the circle, a stand off mid way through and then an awesome push to the end.
USB headsets can be a bit wonky with some games on PC. But you should try downloading the audio drivers for your motherboard to see if that helps.
Irrelevant to platform, more that PUBG is popular.
First thing I did was turn off all voice comm in the game. Haven't heard a single word in my ownership.
Realtek settings are in control panel.

Its not there. I see realtek in my uninstall program list but cant seem to access it anywhere

What's your headset?
Only the AWM, crossbow, and shotguns (if most of the pellets hit the head, which is very unlikely) can one-shot headshot someone with 100 hp and a level 3 helmet. If you're at 75 health, though, the M24 and Kar can also one-shot you, and the Kar is decently common so it's worth boosting to get over that hp threshold.

I've yet to hear anyone say "nigger" in pubg. Before I knew how to turn off voice chat, all I'd ever hear is "china numba wan"

Scored my second solo chicken dinner last night.
I was meaning to land outside Pochinki, grab a vehicle then head East.
I couldn't see any wheels coming in so I pulled out to the first group of houses just north of town (the ones on the road between Pochinki and the school).
Ended up all by myself so I got to loot the second group of houses (with warehouse) as well. 3 zones then proceeded to close in on me as I sat shit scared In my house listening to nearly uninterrupted gunfire the whole time and watching the player count dwindle, I swear this was the shortest game I have ever played. Anyway, the zone started closing in on the fields between water town and Pochinki (essentially half a click to my NW) I legged it out the back of the warehouse and sprinted to uneven ground to keep me covered from the direction I could hear gunfire.
Before I know it there are only 3 players left, one I happened to see take cover behind some rocks but I had no Idea on the second....

Being shot from a weapon that doesn't do that. It's 55% dmg reduction vs lv2's 40% vs lv1's 30%.

I had 100% health, new lvl3 helmet, and I got tagged by a shotgun mid-sprint. Other guy must've had a lucky shot then.

Had a really satisfying firefight and kill today
Couldn't save a teammate because I was moving like molasses. I have trouble getting used to kbm gaming because I couldn't figure out why i was so slow. Its either the lean or that weird zoom in on the crosshairs.
Im slowly getting better but just need to fix my mic because i am a terrible teammate
Realtek should be open in your system tray. That's the program my audio is managed through.

I'm watching a round where a kid who's played like twice is on their squad and they're saying the most incredible things like talking about crafting and tanks and mining and bombs that you can put on cars and bases and the kid believes all of it.
Meanwhile the kid is freaking out over Level 2 vests and landing on roofs and telling them about how to close doors.

Sure, dude. Seems like every time you lose you find something new to blame. Last time it was one of those, and I quote, "laggy ass chinese fuckholes"?
Looking at the spreadsheet again it looks like the shotguns (if all pellets hit) do 253 damage to the head if the victim is wearing a helmet (I'm assuming that damage drops off really quickly). It's also possible that some of the pellets, even if they miss the head, also hit the body. I guess the real question is, were you at close range (say, 20 meters or less)?
Also, they could have been using the double-barrel shotgun and just fired really quickly.

I'm having a hard time believing it was a legit shot, even with a 15x scope you aren't going to see shit from the top of Stalber to the southern coast. The hacking videos on Youtube show that you just need a clear line of sight to someone to be able to lock on and get a headshot. Definitely need to see some receipts.
According to the PUBG stat-tracking site, the longest kill right now is 7,463.88 metres and the second is 6,424.62 metres, both from squad players on the OC server - https://pubgtracker.com/leaderboards/pc/LongestKill?mode=0®ion=0
I think the longest snipe I've seen a clip of is around ~1000 metres. It seems too convenient that there appears to be no footage of these insane long-distance kills...I'll be happy to be proven wrong though.
My first top 2 situation happened just south of the lumberyard on the mountain. I killed the third player left who was in a ghillie suit and took me down to ~5hp, I was in the white circle and the other player was well into the blue and going to die if I just proned/stayed hidden, and I was so flighty I stupidly jumped out of the white circle into the blue and insta-died...
If you had 100% health and an undamaged level 3 helmet, it was an AWM.

Good shortcuts i use, in regards to the in game chat
Ctrl+T mutes the in game chat, i usually keep it muted until I land

It didn't take as long as I thought it would but I was really close to my first solo win after my 8th attempt at it. I didn't have much equipment found in houses but along the way, I geared myself from the kills I got. I still didn't have a zoom attachment until we were less than 16 in the map. I took a risk in the blue zone to check quickly a downed opponent I just killed and it paid off. I fumbled due to nerves in the last circle but it was either on my side or the other side that it would have closed off. Unfortunately, I had to make a run for it and nearly won the resulting showdown. I was hyped even though I let it slip from my grasp. Finishing second with 10 kills is not too shabby honestly. My looting speed is getting up there too so I just need some more battle experience under my belt to calm myself on those last circles.

And I'm all for calling out hypocrisy - you're the dude who went on AS servers (and got that "bullshit ping advantage") and said everyone there "sucks anal dicks". And I'm not wrong, unless you'd like to show me proof that you got headshotted by a Kar with 100 health and a level 3 helmet. A clip would do.
Here are my receipts. Data was mined around June 7th, and there have been no changes to the Kar98 since then (I think the website gets updated anyways).
The Kar98 does 72 damage. Headshot multiplier is 2.5x, so it deals 180 damage on a headshot. The level 3 helmet blocks 55% of headshot damage, so headshotting someone with a Kar98 does 72 * 2.5 * 0.45 damage, which turns out to 81. Enough to kill a medkitted person, but not if they have a few boosts.
Pet peeve: When there's an item called a First Aid Kit and a separate item called a Med Kit and they do two different things, don't call "First Aid Kits" "Med Kits" as a generic term!
Also don't call vehicles cars, call them vehicles, because if you found a Kar I might care or I might not, same with a car.
And if you did find a car, make sure you say whether or not it's a spawned car, a car that someone drove, or a car that someone is driving.
