Game is broken for me today. Half the time the game freezes on the loading screen. When I do make it into a game the lag is terrible.

I don't understand how all of these top streamers just float around the map without getting ambushed or anything. It's like they're invisible to everyone and can just freely move about and rack up kills.

Meanwhile, I'm always getting ambushed in the most random ways. I'll stop off at a few houses in the middle of no where, get out, and then get 2 shotted in the back without having any inidcation whatsoever that anyone was nearby. Or I'll be crossing a field and just immediately get headshotted.

I never see this happen to the top streamers, which is weird, because it's not like any of them are playing passively.

I haven't turned into any of the tournament yet but are they not using the same tools as DreamHack? Those observer tools were top notch and probably the best ones I've ever seen.

I play strictly for the lulz now, and I've been having a lot of fun again.

Naval kill with an M249. Crowbar over S1897. Saw the whites of my enemy's eyes through an 8x Kar for the first time (and won the duel).

But my best kill ever began when I tried to mow down a gunner on the East bridge. He attempted to hide between his car and stationary cover. So I put my car into his bumper at full speed. 60% damage for me, gruesome death for him.

Evermore won the tournament but he didn't win the game.

For the sake of tournament play there needs to be some small tweaks, but if this was a game you or I were playing, he would be some scrub who didn't even make the top 5.

He won the 2nd game. And I don't think the people he played against were scrubs.

Most of it is game sense, awareness, and just experience. Keep in mind when watching top streamers they literally have 1000-2000 hours playing the game.

I think being knowledgeable about the plane path and using hills and ridges as natural cover are pretty important. It might look like they're just running around, but the exact positioning they take is pretty informed by hours and hours of gameplay and understanding of where other players are likely to be. They're also way better spotters than the average player, so it's rare that they get spotted before they spot someone else. I think it just takes a lot of time and effort into playing the game. I'd imagine that a number of your (and my) random deaths were situations where the person who killed you was technically in your view, or some evidence that they were there was present.

Has anyone ever ran into hits not registering at all?

I just played a game and it was down to the high teens left. Some guy came up on where I was on a motorcycle and got off right in front of me. I had an M4 and put about 6 shots into him. None of them registered, no blood spatter, nothing. He got back on his bike and took off.

A few minutes later, I found a guy who moved right in front of me. Again, put about 6-10 shots into him, no hits registered at all. He turned around and killed me.. It was fairly close range and I had a red dot sight, I'm sure I didn't miss.

This game can be so good, but so janky sometimes, it's incredibly frustrating. There's absolutely no chance that I didn't hit either of those guys. I had the jump, they were close range, my sights right on them. Nothing.

I posted this a few days ago and people suggested looking at replays, etc. This is exactly what happened to me, as far as shots not registering. They really need to get stuff like this fixed, especially now that they're running tournaments. In my case, the guy was much closer over half that distance. I've had this happen a few times and it really sucks.

Sometimes people ignore the first location on the plane path for some reason, I usually go to the second major location on the plane path when I want to do this. Or School. School is always busy, people know that going there means early action.

That's why you drop at the school, military base, or prison. I used to drop Yasnaya, Pochinki, and Georgopol when I wanted engagements, but I've had enough games where I run through the city and hear absolutely nothing that I go for school most of the time when I want to get spicy.

every time i watch shroud play he lands at the military base. when i feel like just getting into some quick action i drop there

Most of the time I drop miliitary base there's multiple people. Sometimes you've gotta run from your initial drop point to some warehouses to find some action.

I feel like cities are a mixed bag, you get people who will get a good gun and then hide in a bathroom, and you get some people who will roam around and try and take you out. School always feels more like PUBG: Deathmatch Edition while cities tend to retain the camping element of the game.

Yup. I think a lot of people are going to stick with 3rd person because that's what the game launched with, but for me it's the only way I'll ever play. Even when I accidentally queue up for 3rd person, I just leave the lobby as soon as it lets me (ugh).

I put about 6 M16 shots into someone's chest through a window - they didn't fall down, AND they had just dropped someone in that house (maybe they took a hit from them maybe not). I think it's just the janky way they have the game coded. Comparing it to something like Overwatch, it's really bad. I get that Overwatch is a completely different type of game and PUBG is early release, but it's a pretty glaring problem and makes the game look very unpolished.

In my case, I put at least ten plus shots into the two guys I shot. In another case, a similar number of headshots on a guy with a level two helmet (I had eyes on him for a good two minutes and he had no idea where I was, clear shots to his head sticking out a window from a distance that wasn't that far away).

In Drs example, he hit him at least once and headshot with an sks. He had a level two helmet.

It's a problem, it's not just that you miss shots or they have enough armor to live. Their hit detection really, really sucks in some cases.

You can just turn it off, I did as I only use the Shadowplay element for my 10 minute clips.
