Must of been my 8th round in solo and pretty happy that my first time breaking the top 20 last surviving that I got first. Camped hard in a corner right off the edge of the building to let most pick each other apart and got all my kills in the last two circle locations.
I think the last few minutes boils down to luck.
I think my only issues I have with the game so far is the shooting doesn't work very well in tight spaces particuarly when crouching and ADS switching.

Spectate doesn't sync properly to the users pc right now. It looks like he was aiming far from the body but he wasn't.

What time is it?
First time playing today. Got to 3rd place on solo on my 5th match. Not a lot of luck after that with my next best placement being 9th. Love the double barrel shotgun. The only riffle I've had success with was the M16A4 with a silencer and 4x scope. Was having fun crawling in the rain and sniping people but didn't realize the being out of bounds does more damage towards the end of rounds. Pretty happy that my PC seems to handle the game okay with a 760ti and i7 4770.

I killed a total of 4 guys for the win and I didn't have healing items for about 90% of the match. It feels damn good.

Sweet 4th game in and I finally got it. Got a buggy and drove to the middle of the map. Camped on top of a church....church got bombed so proceeded to crawl for the next 10 minutes as the map slowly closed in. 3 of us left, found where they were and just waited until they engaged.
I don't think I got this big a rush in gaming since I killed Ragnaros when world of warcraft first released.

Had a very intense one just now, I was the last alive in a 4-man, I killed four total people this round (assisted on many, since I knocked out plenty of people). It ended up being just me and 3 guys left, I knocked out two, third got me because I couldn't put enough damage on him fast enough.

I can't play this game anymore without crashing. It even crashed my entire rig earlier tonight. I've been monitoring my GPU and CPU while playing and they aren't overheating. Never had any performance issue so lile this until the most recent patch. Like... I can't even make it through a full game anymore.
I've played 41 hours and I've yet to win a solo match haha. I'm not the greatest. I've had a handful of top 3 finishes, some soul crushing #2 finishes and quite a few top 10. I've definitely put myself in position to win. People like to complain about circle RNG or any other kind of RNG in Battlegrounds, but the only RNG I have to complain about is other people. As it should be! It is a last man standing with up to 99 people. Sometimes even the plays that make zero sense end up making sense to one person out of the 99. I have a ton of fun though. I'll get that win!
The only real RNG that bothers me is if two of you land in the same set of buildings, you go into one and find nothing but clothes, while the other guy comes out with an M16, it's kind of bullshit, but that can't really be helped in this game unless they implemented some algorithm for gun to be guaranteed to be in each building, and that would be too much IMO.
Well, that and when the circle decides to move away from you for about the fifth time in a row. Screw that noise.

I had a game yesterday where I landed in the hospital near Georgopol. By the time I cleared it the blue circle was already here and I couln't find a single vehicle so I had to run for like 15 minutes using all of my medkit and booster. When I finally reached the circle, we were less than 20 remaining. I got shot but managed to stay alive with 15% health and ended at #7.

To those who have captured the chicken dinner; what is your strategy when things are getting down to it? 9 times out of 10 it seems like the circle closes in a wide open area with maybe a few trees or boulders.
I've gotten down to the last 3 or 4 several times, and I always seem to get stuck between two other people in an open area. What is your game plan marching into that scenario to give yourself the best odds?

Its all about positioning. You want to make sure you have the best path with both your flanks covered. This is easiest when the circle is on hilly areas. Otherwise, if its open, the end usually comes down to luck
. Don't forget to use nades in the wheat fields when the circle gets small...lol.
I am a blue circle chaser and I think sometimes this helps me get in good positions. Also, once you getting into the safe area, don't just head towards the white circle unless you are out of time. Slowly travel along the blue looking for easy kills or paths forward with better cover.
I go prone and just slowly crawl everywhere. If I see someone I make a mental note of it and I do not engage unless they see me. I see it that at this point, any action I make will be spotted by someone I have yet to find.

Yea im in the US. It would be completely from scratch. Been eyeing some builds on CyberpowerPC but not exactly sure which way to go.

Had a great game last round although only came 5th, circle concentrated on the small island so after making a beeline from the top of the map in a jeep I stopped at the last group of wrecked cars on the bridge, managed to get 3 kills as other players tried to get across.
Died after getting shot in the back as i tried to crawl down the hill towards the last circle.

I don't understand why people seem to prefer squads over solo so much. When joining reddit discord squads a majority of the time I get basically no gear off the start, end up wandering through the first two or three circles till the field is whittled down to 15-30, then end up getting sniped out in an open field because I had no gear and a teammate decides to take shots without letting people know their intentions. At least in solo I have a chance to get decently geared up before dying
Playing with friends is more fun?
It sounds like your problem is playing with randoms in squads.
Maybe talk to the people you're playing with a formulate a plan so this doesn't keep happening.

I only play duo or squad with friends. Makes a huge difference.
Yeah I think my problem is the squads I'm playing with vary wildly on each night, need to try and get in with a consistent group of guys. If there is an opening in the GAF discord I'll try to get with that, but every time I look its always full already.
Try under $500 (not counting monitor or OS) - I just built 2 of these for my kids (and me) and I can play at 1080p/60 (frames can range from 40-60) on a combination of high to low settings (like low shadows, low foliage, the ones that should be low, Ultra draw distance, high textures...). But for $100 more a i3-7xxx and a rx570 (I'd go for a 500w PSU then too) will pretty much lock you in on High-medium at 60fps.

Well, that's pretty disappointing.
2 weeks without a patch, and when we do get one it's slight improvements, partial fixes and removing items.
The monthly content update is on Thursday or Friday as well.
This situation is why I think those later circles need big tweaking, particularly in squad mode. You guys were just playing the game and having a shootout with another squad when that circle spawn completely fucked it up for everyone involved.
You guys couldn't disengage because there was a squad between you and the zone and they couldn't disengage because they would just get shot in the back.
