Finally hooked mine up today, loving it so far, for the most part. I played Astro's Playroom for a few hours and absolutely love it, I have one world left and I really wish it was longer. DualSense is so great!
Not a fan of the UI though, there are several things I dislike about it which I'm too lazy to get into atm though.
Also, the console itself is a huge bitch, and fuck ugly too! lol

I got mine today. I'm loving it. I still hate the look, so it's in vertical behind the television.
So far I have played Astro's Playroom and Sackboy, and both of them are amazing. I thought the Dualsense was all hype, but now having it in my hands and playing Astro's - wow. Absolutely amazing.

Just had my first crash at all
At least this is just a game crash and not a hard system crash requiring power cycling. Had that twice playing Miles and it sucks.
Have you played Miles, by chance?

Miles and COD seem to be connected to crashes most often, from what I’ve seen anyway

Bought a T7 SSD, didn't regret it. Its purely for PS4 content, and it loads fast (I think PS4 games load identical to the internal SSD on the PS5, Tony Hawk is 6 second ish for a stage which was the same).
Days Gone is smooth as fuck. Monster Hunter is amazing as well (60fps on Resolution mode).
Yeah, I agree every game in the collection at least should have it. Crash Bandicoot feels jarring.

Ps5 on the way, was going to install my ps4 content to an external drive but with the bugs going around worried if I should just wait for a firmware update.

I gotta say it's so weird going back to PS4 games and not feeling any precise haptics or resistance in the triggers. Like when I'm playing Days Gone and riding the bike doesn't feel right without any kind of DualSense action. Or how it's weird to think that Spider-man on PS4 didn't have the trigger resistance when you're web slinging now that I've played the remaster and gotten so used to how natural it feels.
And also the speed of everything on PS5, and the lack of fan noise, makes playing games so much more pleasant. It actually makes me want to play more than before.

Hey all, have you anyone of you encountered this weird issue?
Say you're playing a digital game, while playing this digital game you're popping in a disc copy of another game. The system takes you out of your current game that you're playing to the system's UI pointing to the disc that was inserted. This isn't how it should work right? Why is the system taking us out of the UI when we are playing a different digital game? If you're not playing any game and in the UI, it makes sense for the UI to automatically shuffle to the left or right to the disc that was inserted. But it shouldn't take you to the UI when you're playing a different digital game.

Two things I haven’t had any issues with are noise and heat. I never hear the fan in the PS5 even after a 10 hour grind session in Godfall today. Only time I hear anything from the PS5 is when I insert a disc, otherwise it’s crazy quiet. Very impressive, especially after my Pro.

Played BB for half an hour. Keep in mind its one of the best games ever and platted it also.
But I chucked it off my T7 SSD. I found its performance and IQ below anything i'm used to these days. This game needs a patch, or remaster. In any case it does need something. I figure our prayers will be answered. Sony recognizes it as one of its highest rated IP.

why is this not a thing natively, i wanna be able to "snap" things like twitch (preferably in PIP) but its only on the tip videos as far as i can tell... and thats pointless since they are really short anyway

PS5 is just worse to use then Xbox series x, can’t copy games to a hdd (have them all downloaded but my brother having issues and I just can’t give him my stuff like he did with Xbox for me) and even the PS4 games I can move deletes them off my system instead of copying them. Ass backwards way to transfer PS4 saves also sucks (gotta install PS4 spider man to transfer to ps5 wtf?).
Spider man great as always, Only downside to Miles it makes me wish it was a full game. Don’t notice the triggers as much as I did with Astro, would have thought it would have been more noticeable.
dark souls - played it so much on PS3 guess I still have muscle memory, my shield slap is still on point!. Got a lot of hp off that 1st boss before I fucked up.
Astro- cool to get full use of controller but nothing else uses it as much as this game so kinda set me up to fall. Game itself is crap, at least to me. Not a fan of 3D platformers.
Overall enjoying it but dam it needs work on missing features and shit in the UI. It’s bare bones compared to the Xbox.

I've had my system for a couple of days now and have been really enjoying playing Demon's Souls and Spider-Man along with messing around in Ghost of Tsushima (already completed it on PS4 Pro).
I gotta say, though, this console is really ugly. I didn't think much of it when it got announced, but it really does not match my living room at all, and this stand thing that I need to attach to keep it from wobbling when placed horizontally is flimsy and doesn't seem to attach to the system securely at all. Minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, but I wish they just went with another black slab.
I gotta say, though, this console is really ugly. TBH feels rather obvious Sony did it to turn around and sell us replacements for the side panels at some point.

I saw a 980 Pro available locally but I’m still waiting for official word from Sony on compatible internal expansion, so I hesitated, and it sold out.
Hopefully we get the list of confirmed drives sooner than later but I understand if that’s gonna take awhile to ensure system compatibility/stability

I hope they send something out fairly soon. I am itching to play with this feature. Not that I really need the space right now, I just love to tinker with these things. I wonder if they will add a SSD benchmark tool to validate the speed of the drive.
