Because Fable, Halo Infinite, Grounded, Awoved, Sea of Thieves, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, Hellblade 2, Ori, Gears 4 and 5, Forza Horizon, Forza Motorsport, Flight Simulator, State of Decay 2 and 3. + third party such as Red Dead 2, Monster Hunter World and many more are 100% indie games. I don't want to kill the hype (which is a fun part of the game), but the showcase is labeled an "update". It could just be an update on the already revealed games (like some DS gameplay or similar things). Why do you expect new games?

My guess is that they'll do another web-show, maybe a week after where they announce that pre-orders are available "now". They know that they have enough hardcore fans to burn through their initial allocations, so they will just drop it without warning. Basically a variation on the planned scarcity gambit.

Could be, but during Keighley's Dualsense hands on, the SIE exec said they won't be doing that kind of drop without warning. The other thing is, that likely would put their announcement after XSS/XSX pre orders have started... if that matters to Sony or anyone.
