Playstation is western. This AI design are much better by a mile than those woke crap design from the west
Correction, from there western base developers and designers.Playstation is western.
They don't look bad. They look like pixel art. Looks fine to me. Honestly, I'm digging the simple design.![]()
I would actually be more offended if these were done by actual human beings, theses are just straight up looking very bad.
The PS3 era was the worst for that. Legit stock images posted for $3.Get used to it bozo. Those AI avatars are better than the skulls and lions some "artists" was pumping out as avatars that flooded the PS Store during the PS4 gen.
They are not. Just ppl afraid to be replaced by AI. If you are a good and creative artist, you dont have any reasons to fear AI. But there are alot of ppl in the industry pumping out slop worse than AI slop.I'm having a difficult time understanding why AI generated avatar images are a problem.
What offended me the most is the low energy effort. They typed "Fire Mage" and called it a day, the titles are literally the prompt.
Give it five minutes and you can get something passable IMO.
If I put this one for publication I would go in and touch up the forehead gem and manually draw a gold diadem around it.

Yes. AI slop sucks. It is lazy and prone to artistic mistakes. but it's not like it's in a game in this case so does anybody actually care? This is just a free advent calendar of avatars. So their possible laziness is not monitised either. It's just for some free crap.So is this a new trend? Complain about companies using AI now? lmao
I agree. Pixel art is shite.Just sad seeing Sony doing this kinda of stuff.
To me they look generic ass shit…..there is no style to them. They don't look bad. They look like pixel art. Looks fine to me. Honestly, I'm digging the simple design.
They remind me of ms dos games, and lots of those were significantly worse looking. So, meh.To me they look generic ass shit…..there is no style to them.
This AI design are much better by a mile than those woke crap design from the west base developers and designers.
Japanese writing in cyberpunk theme is canon thoughPerhaps the biggest giveaway is the use of Japanese writing in a cyberpunk-style scene, which don't really reflect real characters at all.
That's a very easy fix by just running it through magnific. The texture of the fingers kind of gives it away just a tiny bit, but the AI's work on the face is the more impressive part. Very realistic and not overdone.
I would too. AI would never create characters that awful on purpose.I'll take AI art over woke design.

They'd get rejected because... it doesn't fit the maximum pixels size of avatars. I'd take them as backgrounds though.Sony could've just gotten me to do the Avatars with A.I.

These are free avatars, what exactly are they squeezing out of people?![]()
No way. You're telling me a company famous for squeezing every drop out of its customers would do that? Impossible.
How did you misread the title as Nintendo?![]()
No way. You're telling me a company famous for squeezing every drop out of its customers would do that? Impossible.
Well, no idea if these are AI generated or not, but your "biggest giveaway" is not a giveaway at all. It just show that the artist probably doesn't speak Japanese or chinese. Are the background of the Ghibli anime of the '90 AI generated because the signs are full of words that make no sense? And here there is even less reason to actual recreate the language because instead of revocate last century European vibe, you are just fantasize on the near future : the main raison d'etre of this sign is just to look cool, not to communicate anything, so why should they look like real ideograms? But every time you enter the raffle you'll get a free avatar every day, which appears to feature artwork generated by AI.
While it's becoming increasingly difficult to detect AI artwork, we will say these avatars do have that kind of "look" to them, although there aren't any obvious telltale signs like extra fingers or anything like that.
Perhaps the biggest giveaway is the use of Japanese writing in a cyberpunk-style scene, which don't really reflect real characters at all.
