These threads has made for an amazing read the last couple of days, just wanted to pop in and say that I'm getting hyped after seeing the persona 5 image on the last couple of pages

Spending millions on SFV and then millions on a FFVII remake is just terrible decision-making.

I wouldn't say terrible as FF7 is much beloved, but it would make the PS4 start to feel like the "remake/remastered" console. I want a new IP or a sequel to a beloved one with a fresh new slant on an old gameplay experience.

To celebrate ten years of Final Fantasy VII and stir longings for a FFVII remake, Square Enix held a Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Gallery in Tokyo. The exhibition is on display until September 2nd in the Spiral Garden and features original art and illustrations for Final Fantasy VII and its spin-offs. Sony Computer Entertainment honcho Kaz Hirai was also in appearance and wrote an English note on the message board (above), which reads:

"Congratulations on 10 fantastic years! The best is yet to come"

Funny thing is, that picture of Kaz's signature is nowhere to be found...

Yup, just be prepared as it's a 60-80 hour game. I haven't finished it due to a backlog of other games but it really is amazing. P4 Golden is basically an upgraded version of 4 with a bit of new content as well.

The only risk I would say is that if you play it right before 5 you might risk wearing yourself out on the series since they are long games

Agreed. The gameplay was pretty decent, but the characters and story are what made it so good. It also made playing VII again fresh. If there is ever a remake of VII that includes a remade Crisis Core, I would be there day one for the highest level Collector's Edition!
