Yeah, I really do agree. I refuse to believe in this day and age that this happens unintentionally. I may budge on "Intentional, but wrongly timed", such as like an employee misread something and put it up at the wrong time but it was public intentionally as far as I'm concerned.

No, I think it's just that many of us would rather it had been DD2, plus from a funding perspective SFV could obviously be made with or without Sony's involvement, while DD2 could reasonably require moneyhats in order to happen.

Incredibly nonchalant and public about it, too. I'm sure people who are on media blackout don't know about the mistake so why announce it publicly after the fact? Why continue to spoil the fun? That's the last thing you do.
You know after SFV I'm actually also thinking Crash Bandicoot is back at Sony as we saw in the ad.

As someone who has absolutely no interest in Street Fighter whatsoever, I really hope that isn't where the 'megatons' end. Not to mention we always knew a new SF was going to come, so only the exclusivity is the unexpected.

It'd be much easier to hide a FFVII remake in the size of SE than it was to hide TLoU at Naughty Dog.
However, SE have no competent teams anyway. Secret or otherwise.

I am extremely confident that it's just pre-production right now if anything. Square isn't exactly shy about announcing something years ahead of it being viable. That being said, I was trying to imply that even though people have said it's happening, I think it's happening 'in principle' - i.e. they have people planning it but it's not going to be in full production any time soon.
the entire FFXIII team? They're not just helping out on development of FFXV now?
