Honestly Apple does their events when people are either at work or on their way to work. I'll be almost off work when this airs, but it'll dominate in the places it needs to. Social media, gaming and business sites etc. The news will travel.

And I'm sure Sony will have some sort of video on youtube with all necessary information once the conference is done.

To be honest I'm mostly interested and getting a NEO because my current PlayStation sounds like ass. It's so loud and annoying. Like today I tried to play The Witcher 3 Wildhunt and it sounded like a damn leaf blower in my room, so I just stopped playing it.

Yeah, this needs to be addressed. The same thing happens to me with UC4.

Mine was getting really loud recently, so I took it apart and really blew it out. I'd taken the HDD cover off to blow it out before, but this time I pulled the whole case off, and removed the power supply and BD-ROM and gave it a real proper cleaning. It is SO much quieter now. Would recommend.

I sold mine. Have my PC, 3DS, XBO S and PS3 to hold me over. Wasn't gonna wait for Neo to be released/announced and PS4's value to plummet.

Sony said they want a Apple way of Announce plus release.

I expect Neo for October or worst case early November.

But I don't believe it will be released in time for FFXV (well World of Final Fantasy for me).

DON'T expect Neo by the time of FFXV. It will most likely launch in October or early November.

My Ps4 was quiet until I upgraded it to a 2TB hardrive then it turns into a jet engine when playing games like UC4, Driveclub etc... but I use headphones so I don't really hear it as much. I think Sony learned as I was playing the new matte finish Ps4 at my friend's house and it was much quieter. Either way Ps4 Neo is a day one for me.

Edit: Just remembered a patent from them surfaced recently regarding force feedback on portable device. The funny thing was pictures on that patent looked exactly like modified Vita lol.

I hope the Neo looks as good as the PS4 but isn't built like trash. The current ver rocks back and forth, sounds like a jet, seems unreliable, etc.

j/k of course, some folks here do seem to believe true 4K is not going to happen but i am positive it is, definitely for some of the first party titles from both companies.

well to be fair, a lot of people were hyped from the get-go. I know many sided with POV like Colin from Kinda Funny, but there were a lot of PC guys and enthusiast hyped for some new hardware.

You know, that's an interesting point. We are mostly (myself included) speculating on how Sony is going to handle Scropio being more powerful next year, but how many people could Sony potentially sway with having the most powerful console out for a whole year?

There are a lot of things that are just unnaccetpable in a years times frame to wait on

- Someone ask for a loan and promises to pay you back in a year
- The Boss promises you that raise you deserve in a year
- Your BF/GF promises commitment in a year

365 is a long time! Especially when we are talking about a piece of hardware that many of use everyday. Interesting...

Sony does need to have a WOW factor though. I mean, there needs to be something to showcase why we need Neo. As much as I want 1080/60 for BB or UC4, it's not really an exciting thing to debut with.

Between the Iphone 4 and Iphone 6, we got some pretty substantial features not to mention the huge difference in screen size. Neo needs a selling point.

Yep. U4 in 60fps sounds nice and all but is not a real selling point. Maybe for some gamers, but they need something else. Exciting times ahead. The first event for something like this, never had this before.

Yeah i really doubt that too. Especially if those leaked specs are the real deal...i really don't believe they can have made such drastic changes when devkits are already delivered and what not. Even if they do match Scorpio in that it has 6tf, nothing is stopping MS end of next year to come with something better.

Tbh, an ultra silent PS4 would be the biggest reason for me to buy NEO

it's going to be interesting to see how they market this. Not sure how they can show this off without making the regular versions of the same games look weak in comparison. Imagine a comparison video on DF showing both versions side by side. How does one buy the regular PS4 version after that? Ofcourse, it all depends on whether the improvements really are highly noticeable.
