Nice! Not that we didn't know 4k wasn't coming but pretty cool little teaser. I'm going to have to buy a 4k HDR TV now this holiday I guess

If Digital Foundry (and Candyland for another good example) hasn't gone out of business by then you'll be seeing a LOT of comparisons.
 
Orbis vs. Durango sounded so shit, it sounded like two chubby ewoks having a slapfight

Scorpio vs. Neo sounds incredible, like two secret agents shooting the shit out of each other, smashing out of thirty-story windows and landing on top of Lamborghini's, and then speeding 10000mph whilst bashing into each other until the bare chassis remains and they both crash into a exploding oil tanker at the same time whilst they crawl out of their smashed up vehicles through pure burning glass and furiously punch each other
 
I am surprised it's getting it's own show. They must have something big to share with Neo. I was expecting it would be part of a conference like Gamescom, TGS etc like what Microsoft did with S and Scorpio. I didn't think it would be a big enough of an announcement to warrant one.

They might be rebranding PS4 with a new marketing tagline like they did when they rebranded PlayStation 3 to PS3 with Kevin Butler.

PGW conference 2015 was announced back before E3 2015. So far this year we have heard nothing about it. It could still happen as there is plenty of time but we already new at this stage they were attending PGW.

Well there's also VR, maybe a PS4 slim and price drop most likely.

How is it ridiculous ? I think it's cool that Sony has big events for everyone and every region, throughout the whole year. There's a reason why PS is a global brand and not just focused on one or two regions like the competitors.

The Scorpio announcement wasn't it's full reveal, it was just talking heads, some vague specs, "the best quality pixels" and then not even a full name reveal. I'm willing to bet either next year's E3 or a full seperate event will have a lot of time dedicated to it.

To be honest I'm mostly interested and getting a NEO because my current PlayStation sounds like ass. It's so loud and annoying. Like today I tried to play The Witcher 3 Wildhunt and it sounded like a damn leaf blower in my room, so I just stopped playing it.

well to be fair, a lot of people were hyped from the get-go. I know many sided with POV like Colin from Kinda Funny, but there were a lot of PC guys and enthusiast hyped for some new hardware.

You know, that's an interesting point. We are mostly (myself included) speculating on how Sony is going to handle Scropio being more powerful next year, but how many people could Sony potentially sway with having the most powerful console out for a whole year?

There are a lot of things that are just unnaccetpable in a years times frame to wait on

- Someone ask for a loan and promises to pay you back in a year
- The Boss promises you that raise you deserve in a year
- Your BF/GF promises commitment in a year

365 is a long time! Especially when we are talking about a piece of hardware that many of use everyday. Interesting...

Sony does need to have a WOW factor though. I mean, there needs to be something to showcase why we need Neo. As much as I want 1080/60 for BB or UC4, it's not really an exciting thing to debut with.

Between the Iphone 4 and Iphone 6, we got some pretty substantial features not to mention the huge difference in screen size. Neo needs a selling point.

Yeah, this needs to be addressed. The same thing happens to me with UC4.
 
I like that they're calling it the Playstation Meeting again. Looks like it'll be their go to name for all PS hardware reveals now. Also kinda making me nostalgic as the original PS Meeting thread is what got me hooked on gaf.
