So much for letting Microsoft announce first and steal their thunder. Probably was just deliberately misleading in order to...

Now THIS is the GAF I remember.

Nope dude. Those are just close ups of the square, cross, circle and triangle renders.
Yeah that's what I thought too, just the shapes zoomed in. I really dont see why people think its the system but gaf always dissects the shit out of everything

Looks like the system being shown in the trailer. Probably already been pointed out, but I did not read every page. Anyway:

That was my first impression as well. Got a bit unsure when it turned to the symbols but yes the beginning does look like the edge of a device

I'm sure it's nothing, but I'm trying to work out what's being rendered here. Top right is the triangle, but the light falls oddly on the left and bottom. Also the blue and light blue separations make no sense. It might not be a render of anything, but it doesn't look like the four symbols either.

It would be amazing if it was sharply angular and geometric like PS2, that's the vibe I get from the trailer. The PS3 super slim is heinous, hope PS4 is really different

This is the right move for Sony because Microsoft will probably have the largest marking campaign in history. They need this presentation to click for gamers and be replayed on the news and tech sites. The appeal and hook of the console needs to be present.

"Hey, did you hear about PS4. It has __________ ____________ and ____________!" so when Microsoft drops the hundreds of millions of dollars -- the informed consumer is still left with a decision. It just can't be the next Sony console -- it needs to deliver. The reveal is probably more important than E3 or any core title they could release.

So excited to see the PS4. (I swear MS if you don't get the next Xbox out this year...)

After a rather boring 2012, 2013 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting/best years in gaming. First half is already shaping up to be incredible as it is with all the great games coming out in such a short amount of time but combined with the potential of two new consoles, this is definitely shaping up to be a year to remember.

Yeah the ps2s look and color scheme was pretty boss, I'd love for ps4's aesthetic to draw from that.

I really love the aesthetic they have going on in that trailer. Visual and sound effects. I hope that carries over to the PS4's OS and future marketing.
