I think everyone with a PSN account probably got the email. Just read mine a few minutes ago, and yes, I think it is quite obviously the PS4.

Then you better hope that Sony and MS don't' bleed too much due to the prices of these consoles.
Small losses on each unit sold for a fiscal year wouldn't surprise me -- I don't see each unit being profitable from Day 1. But much of Sony's philosophy (though more non-traditional than initially though) is to cut manufacturing cost, quickly. I think some rough, and I mean ROUGH, estimates in the tech thread argued there is no reason for the BoM to be more than $499 -- and, realistically, much less.

....

Obviously this communication thing isn't working out for us. Let's just... let this conversation come to an end here and be, like, happy and shit.
No, for you, maybe. You responded to me quoting someone else who was quoting someone else -- that initial person said they hope Sony focuses on power and not Wii U or Move-like nonsense. Some aruged that focusing just on power isn't innovating. To which I said gimmicks are not innovation (implying tablet controllers and motion gaming was just that) to which you listed stuff that I WOULD argue is innovative. We both have the luxury of retrospect -- but different interpretations of that vision.
