PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

13 cents short, you cant be serious....

OK GAF, what do I get rid of?

Monkey Island Special Edition Bundle (comes with the 2 games) - Never played these before but keep hearing good things. I think its one of those 'mouse click' story games so I am not 100% if I would like it.

Siren Blood Curse - Again, been hearing good things. Tried the demo a few years ago, didnt leave a good impression, but it was a demo and they can make the whole game look shit sometimes. If i recall, the controls were shit in the demo.

Gow Collection Volume 2 - BIG Gow fan, but not too sure if these 2 will be as good as the main titles considering they were psp games.

Hitman Trilogy HD - Played only one of them on the ps2, cant remember. Think it was contracts. I enjoyed absolution so would I enjoy this?

Get rid of Siren. The controls don't improve, game shows its age.

I have €10 on my PSN account and I don't know what to buy. I'm tempted by Terraria, though I already have it on PC. The idea of having a huge sandbox on the go sounds great.

Does anyone know if the Persona games go on sale often? More specifically, Persona 3 Portable. I just ordered online a new copy of Persona 4 Golden for €20 and I'm shocked by the €30 pricetag on P3P. I could save those €10 towards P3P if it goes on sale often enough.

got Shovel Knight early... it's so good and i'm actually glad i backed it now... i wish the devs didn't hate Vita, 'cause even though I'm playing fine, the Vita dpad would be soooo much better than my 360 controller is right now

Pretty sure they don't hate Vita judging by the fact that they've stated on blogs and twitter that they'd love to port it to Vita, but it's probably a ways off.

Yeah, but in the livestream during the last day of funding one of 'em said "yeahhhh, we'd rather put it on something that people actually own" when someone in the twitch chat asked about a possible Vita port. I was really close to cancelling my pledge after that.

"we'd love to put it on everything" is a way to stay in good graces with every fanbase and teasing the possibility of a Vita port if a game can be successfully released in the first place was an effective kickstarter strategy for awhile.

That said game rentals in my area are pretty nonexistent. I paid what, $10 to rent Beyond for a weekend? So PS Now wouldn't have to compete for much if it tried IMO.
Same here, although rental stores for DVDs/Blu-Rays are heading that way too. Everyone's starting to shift to digital.

I think the problem is Sony would be competing with themselves, we're already seeing people complaining about the prices of rentals for games on PSNow being more expensive than buying them digitally so they can play them whenever they want.

Chains of Olympus is really short and is arguably the worst of the series but still captures the God of War experience, Ghost of Sparta is on-par with the console games though and is one of my favorite titles in the series. It's absolutely amazing what Ready at Dawn did with their second attempt at a portable God of War. You wont be disappointed at the price they're on sale.

Anyone know if the PS+ discount on Another World has been added yet?

Was gonna get it on PS3 last night, but the discount wasn't there, and I'll be fucked if I'm paying a penny above what I need to, dammit!

Ahem... so, it there yet? Can't access webstore from work to check.

Well... it isn't like they don't have a point really. But then, they did also do a Wii U version didn't they? lol, should make up their minds :]

Bought the Steam version of Valiant Hearts and played through chapter 1 and I'm fairly certain I'm going to enjoy the rest of the game. Feels like a great piece of edutainment too with its History Channel-esque framing device (coincidentally like Final Fantasy Type-0) and little historical facts that you can read as you play. Still hoping it comes to Vita.

Looking at how they price their movie and television purchases and rentals here I'm going to expect the worst and hope for the best if and when PS Now comes over here.

So I've got ¥1914 sitting on my Japanese PSN account, and I'm wondering what I should get. I was maybe leaning toward Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds. Any suggestions?

As I said, I already knew that. That doesn't answer my actual question.

Reposting my question as it has been a few days now:

The space used by a physical copy of a game is visible in the PS4s settings. Once a game is fully installed you can see how much actual HDD space is being used. Any you can delete this cache at any time.

not sure if this is the right place...

Basically, with The Walking Dead in the sale I'm tempted to get season 2 on the Vita - reason being I get more game time on the Vita (I'm still waiting to finish season one on PS3 lol).

Anyway, I also noticed there's the 400 days DLC...but it's not listed for Vita - did it ever get released? Is it worth getting? Is there a reason not to get the Vita versions?

pretty sure 400 Days was included with Season 1 on Vita

Went ahead and bought Deception for Vita. Gives me some added variety on my machine atm. Looking forward to next month.

The survey I filled out had buttons for a large variety of platforms you'd like to see the game ported to. I mean, it's not like they had the Colecovision on there or anything, but the Vita was there. A bit of snark might be annoying, but it's hardly an uncommon sentiment regarding the Vita. That would have irritated me more as too easy of a joke, frankly.

Guys...This might not be the place to discuss this, but something terrible has happened to me recently and I don't know where to turn.. I have...
Terraria addiction. I must keep digging. I don't even know wth I'm doing really, but I love digging and finding loot.I got attacked by a giant eye but I must have been overpowered because it was pretty easy. Now If I could just stop dying when I'm deep underground so I could actually have gold..
But seriously, I think I see why people are crazy about Minecraft now. When it comes to Vita I'm seriously thinking about buying it.
I was introduced to Terraria on the Vita. I played it for like 5 min on the PS3, didn't care for it, but instantly loved it on the Vita. Go figure. But the ever present need to do more digging...to keep searching is addictive. Once you shake that, it'll be a never ending search for mats. Then building...Then..then...it just goes on and on. For where I am, and what I want to do, I have to do like 6 hard things before I'm close to getting what I want. I've put tons of time in it, and I bounce back to it frequently. Currently I am back in it, on it, under it; taking a short break from Borderlands 2. Feel free to browse through the Terraria thread. Depending on what you consider "spoilers" for this game, it might not be a good idea, but at the least it's a decent place to go and ask questions if you are stuck. It's been brought back to life a little thanks to PS Plus.

Also..if you, or any other Vitamuffin wants to do co op...I am starting to really want to do it. I want to co op with Gaf, versus a random, because I am afraid the random will just start deconstructing everything they see. Just send a FR / PM and mention Gaf plzkthx

Speaking of The Walking Dead on Vita, guess who's publishing it in Japan? Square Enix. That better not have been one of their unannounced Vita projects ...

I guess they'll eventually handle Borderlands 2 Vita over there too.

First those two psp SH games, then Gradius collection and now they release Castlevania... :(, why the hell is Konami not allowing europeans to play all these games on our VITAs?

I can't understand it. Why isn't SCEE dropping the hammer on this nonsense?

Oh and was looking around and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is 29.99.
Dunno if it'll get a sale(apparently up until a few months ago it was 49.99) but I have $90 PSN credit to burn and love Musou titles.

June has been a horrible month for SCEA's typo mistakes. Type-0 and Korra haven't been the only things they've gotten wrong.

Oooh! What else did they do? E3 Debacle? PR? Indie Indie? typo? Kora?

Puts fanboy hat on*

You guys they are teasing these games for the Vita. Come Gamescom they will be announced!

*Throws fanboy hat away!

Gooddammnit SCEA's typos are just not stopping! They had uploaded the Legend of Korra trailer as "The Legend of Korra Video Game Announce Trailer | PS Vita "

They can burn in hell!

Ok. That's too far.

Now I think there is some guy on Sony PR department trolling Vita owners for fun.

He just want to see the Internet burn.

They listed some really awful looking game (Murasaki something, not Baby, though) for Vita when it was PS4. Another World's NA release post was completely wrong and ignored the PSV/PS3 builds. jeff rubenstein, we need you

WhA? hjahahahhahah! Vitaluv is sure getting tougher now!

Muramasa being on IGC this month really depressed me a bit. Bought it last month and the DLCs for the full price. (Bought the DLCs and the day after it goes on sale!)

I've been neglecting the Vita for a while now and instead been playing RO.(the MMO game not the Vita one.)

I sure wish PSO2 gets localized on the Vita. Also keeping my hopes up that Freedom Wars has a good PVP system.

I hope whoever is responsible for this will be in serious trouble.

For the record, they also posted a Contrast trailer back when they were announcing PS4 games that had a Vita logo at the end of it (and told people it was coming to Vita), as well as hiding Vita release notices (like the Ratchet and Clank Trilogy for North America) at the bottom of slightly related, but mostly unrelated post (R+C was a sentence at the end of a PS4 R+C reboot post).

They need someone organized and who fact-checks to be doing these things, they're just pissing off Vita owners that already feel neglected in some form or another.

These "fuck ups" are fuel to the fire we do not need.

Ah yes! I remember that,

If you're going to bring up SCEA burying Vita news, who could forget the way they announced The Sly Cooper Collection? It didn't get a separate blog post, but was part of "God of War Collection Coming To PS Vita May 6th". If you don't like God of War but are a big Sly fan, how would you know the first three were heading to Vita with a title like that? Most bewilidering (besides the content of that post implying the GoW Collection was a new announcement, and not something overdue since E3 2013) was the fact that I can't imagine what the benefit from doing that was. Sly got a retail release in North America, and it's apparently SCE's best PS2 port on Vita. Why downplay that?

seems like ratchet is digital only since no retail has appeared

Can the crazy SCEA person that is definitely monitoring this thread please tell me that the R&C collection will be up on Tuesday? Earn some love! Do it!

Sorry this is a weird question but didnt know where else to ask.. But its PSN related, is this PSN avatar supposed to be Cole? I don't remember him having a barcode on his head:
