PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

There's no need to test things they don't plan on doing.
Not saying Sony is being benign or anything, obviously they're testing to find the highest pricing model they can muster within the boundaries their customer base will be willing to pay. Until then I suspect more growing pains.

Edit: If it ever makes its way to Aus it's probably going to be 5 times as much.

Yeah. I'm seeing the Lightning Returns image going around a couple of Australian places and people already saying that's a rip-off, wait until the eventual Australian markup hits to whatever the final PS Now prices are.
I demand thanks
Flandy pls
I'm a PAL gamer so no thanks needed.

That said game rentals in my area are pretty nonexistent. I paid what, $10 to rent Beyond for a weekend? So PS Now wouldn't have to compete for much if it tried IMO.

Seems like the description for Ratchet and Clank Trilogy has been updated in the EU store:

Same was for Dead Nation PS4.

I don't trust them anymore. It's clear that PSN is ran by monkeys (no offence to the monkeys intended)

PS: R&C Nexus official retail price is now 20€(instead of 30€), I hope they'll change the PSN price as well.

Thanks for the answers, I'm in Sweden, EU, so this time I might be lucky.
Thinking of maybe buying Sly 3. Have the collection on the US-account on PS3, but my Vita is tied to my EU-account.
Is that supposed to be the best in the series?

It's not the best. It's worse than 2(though if you like the second you'll like this as well), while the first game is completely different than both 2 & 3 and wether it's worse or better than the others it's just up to your tastes. 2 & 3 have an open world structure, while the first is sort of an evolved Crash Bandicoot, with linear levels filled with platforms and trap.

Not as far as I remember? They specifically named it Ultimate Apocalypse Edition or whatever other crap so they could avoid having cross buy.

Yeah, but when the PS4 version was first released there was a paragraph in the store page which said it was crossbuy with PS3 and Vita version + dlc. It was removed after a hour, but I remember clearly it was there.

Ah but there's much more of a precedent for the PS2 ports being cross-buy... only £13 wasted if not :P

So I am really enjoying Class of Heroes, despite years of avoiding it because of the theme... (Picked it up on a PSN sale).

How does CoH2 compare to this first one? I know about spells using MP instead of the traditional Wizardry spell chart and outdoor dungeons and all.

It's pretty much between ZHP and CoH2 for my next game.
Was gonna bite on Dynasty Warriors but I would have to upgrade my memory card. Not ready to do that right now.

People say that the second game is better, but I haven tried it yet. The third should be better than the second, too.

Great maintenance just now, they just jacked up some prices:

Was 599 and 399 earlier today. Also, that price difference between PS4 and PS3 grinds my gears to no end. Fucking why?

Edit: And by the way, that price for the PS4 version comes out to around $104 USD. Completely ridiculous.

I have to make room on my 32GB card for more game.

Does Soul Sacrifice Delta need the whole Soul Sacrifice download to get the save data?
Or am I good just putting it in cloud storage and copying over with just that....(You can do that right?)

I don't think so, but I'm new to Vita cloud saving. In any case, you can just upload SS save, delete the game and whenever you get SSD, download SS again, get the save from the cloud, SSD will find the save and then you can delete it again. I might be wrong and you can just do what you said, though.

They just jacked up most titles with at least 40 NOK, if not more on almost all newer titles. They even managed to get plus discounts wrong, missing, even failing to put up Rorona+ which should have been up last week. What in the world is Playstation Europe doing?

Thanks just tried it after reading your post and I will indeed need to download SS again when I get around to getting Delta. Not a big deal. Though still wish Sony had handled saves like they were on PSP.

I have a question. Is it going to be a problem to own a Vita and a Playstation TV at the same time? Can I be signed in and have my games downloaded onto both of them? Doesn't have to be at the same time. I just mean could I download my digital copy of Muramasa onto my Vita AND my Playstation TV?

You have to actually have SS downloaded in order to transfer the save into SSD. Same goes for any other game with a save transfer option (Toukiden, Conception).

only thing i bought this week was that Deadpool table for Zen Pinball 2

went pretty easy on the steam sale too and only got 140, Ikaruga & Inquisitor... man do i wish we had a plethora of shmups on Vita

Is Persona 3: Portable worth picking up for $20? My wife loved P4G and has been wanting something similar to play. Right now she's going through Conception II, but doesn't love it. I was thinking of getting P3P for her, but when it's $20 and P3:FES is only $4, it's a hard sell. She does tend to prefer playing on the vita as apposed to the PS3/4, though.

Just curious here... but how long has that 'check for updates' option been there in the triangle sub-menu for games on the PS3 XMB? This was something I'd wanted for ages on the thing, but I've only just noticed it this evening. Long overdue feature.

Was it today's FW update that added it or an older one?

It usually goes on sale for cheaper than that once or twice a year, and I'm in the camp that's mad at it for being scaled down in some aspects and not exactly like the PS2 versions.

FES isn't portable, though, even if it is $4, and your wife probably won't be as cynical and anal about P3P like some of us are. Your call.

Maybe she'd like the Atelier games, you should show her some videos.

P3P usually goes on sale every other week. Between the two games it going come down to personal preference due to the presentation. Going from P4 back to P3P might hurt her own opinion of the game due to visual novel presentation of the game. Would just go with FES.

If she likes P3 then eventually pick up P3P and play as FeMC which is objectively better in every possible way beside the presentation.

So it turns out Blazblue CP Vita doesn't have jpn audio for story line because of size limitations, Aksys didn't say shit about this until asked, after release... won't be buying any of their games anymore that's for sure.
