What is the best fighting game available on Vita? Darkstalkers Chronicles? UMvC3? Something else?

UMvC3 has an excellent port on the Vita. SF alpha has a PSP game that is pretty good too. Blazblue CS2 (although chrono phantasma is coming), I think has everything the PS3 version has.
Personally, UMvC3 is the best fighting game in the Vita.

Has anyone played Raiden IV: Overkill? Is it basically a PS3 version of Raiden IV on x360? Or are the new modes enough of a reason to double dip?

UmvC3. The controls lend itself to four face buttons/two shoulder buttons and it just looks phenomenal. Honestly I think it's still the most impressive looking Vita game to this day. It's very very high up there, at least.

If you're looking for Single player content, though, Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma is coming out next month and would be your best bet.

Depends a lot on what you want out of a fighting game. I'm inclined towards UMvC3, but if you like singleplayer content (or you dislike the Versus series), then that's not exactly your best bet.

Thanks for the input. Is there any good SNK stuff available?

You need to either go to your download list and find the games (as they would be there, considering this is cross-buy) or you can find them free on the PS Store (they should be listed as 'free' under the buy sign). You can either get the games individually (to save space on your MC) or just get the complete collection (which has Sly 1 + 2 as one game and has Sly 3 as one game). Once you get this 'free' game, then it should be in your download list and you can then enjoy the games :).
They aren't listed as free. And they're in my download list even though it's the retail version I got?

If Muramasa comes to the NA IGC, we can all thank Flandy.
Am I the new Laughing Banana or something? Whatever, all of ya'll that don't buy it this week better thank me when it comes to the IGC.

Vanillaware is one of those companies that deserves your money.

Flandy >>>>>>>>>>> anyone who wants to play the game but waits for it to come to IGC.
I hope you're not referring to me. I was just posting about how much I liked Muramasa on the last page. :P

Too bad about the insane amount of backtracking and thrash mobs in an attempt to pad out the game.

You could buy an item to teleport you to the last shrine you visited. It wasn't as good as the free teleports anywhere you got after beating the game with one of the characters but it saved backtracking.

I enjoyed slaughtering my way through all the trash I had to fight, it let me practice my combos. I got to the point where I could air juggle the entire pack until they were all dead.

Just got Persona 4 for the PS3 as a ps2 classic, liking the game so far although Im scared of the save data corrupt problems the ps2 classics usually have.

Remote play app seems worse with new update. At least in terms of starting up the ps4. Takes longer than it did before now.

I didn't notice any difference in PS4 startup time but I did notice that the stream quality seemed to be better. Also you can turn off the back touchpad indicator now if you're playing a game which doesn't use it which is nice.

Muramasa and Demon Gaze combined take up less than 1 GB of space, which means that those two won't be leaving my memory card anytime soon. It would be nice if all Vita devs were somehow able to cut down file sizes a bit.

I got Totori+ the first time it was on sale. Guess you can expect that too? ;__;
Probably not, that was before your curse struck.

Yeah I was pretty happy to see Muramasa and Ys only take up like 1.2 GB combined.

I think my curse started when all those Curve Games, Velocity, and PixelJunk went on sale in Jan because I bought all of those ;__;

Hey, I bought almost all of Curve's games in January too. I think I've missed buying Lone Survivor because I was short of a few cents and can't be bothered to add 5$ more for it. Haven't played them cause of JRPGs. Then they all became IGC a few months later...
Don't spread the IGC curse on me.

Yea i am able to play across the house in my room now and not suffering bad spikes of pixelated screens so far.

Haven't played it yet but it does have new weapons, stages, enemies, mechanics, and a new mode called Overkill, among other things.

I can't login into my PSN US account on the web store. Does it require to be in the right region? I have no problems with it on PS3.
But I want to use paypal and for that I need to be able to login in a browser.

I login from the UK to my US account, always use PSN cards from Amazon because I need a US Paypal account otherwise. Login works fine, I just use my US details. It didn't used to work for me though, I had to use my VPN, but since they updated the site it has worked without it just fine.

Thanks, good to know. What do you mean you need US paypal account, though? paypal isn't region specific, at least it's not supposed to be.
I have no ideas why I can't login then, no ideas at all :\

For me, the thing that's always kept me from DC is the amount of enemies on the vita screen...

Does it get confusing/overwhelming?

They added a few more things that help you find your character on screen, like a colored circle around their feet and an arrow at the botton of the screen that shows you on the x axis.
Nowadays, I only get lost if theres two more people using the same character as I (especially when theres three amazons brandishing everything).

Muramasa was in many ways perfect. The difficulty was perfectly tuned, the bosses were fun, the environments were beautiful, the controls were nice and tight, the music was amazing. Vanillaware were at the top of their game.

[insert rant about dat DLC 1 boss]

But he's right people, Muramasa is awesome, so get it. And get those DLCs after you get all the endings from Momo and Kisuke.

So far from what I've played, meruru >>> Totori, but Totori is still a pretty good game that I'm glad that I've played through. If only because I find Totori acting as a teacher adorable.

Even though Paypal is universal, you can't add from UK (in my situation) to your US SEN/PSN without having a US registered credit card and (I think) a Paypal account with a US address registered.

I thought it was going to allow me to add from UK to US, but when you do login and try to add funds from Paypal outside the US region, it just gets stuck on 'payment confirmation (paraphrased) and nothing happens. If you then check your Paypal account history it will say 'Payment cancelled'.

I just buy cards from Amazon now.

When you say you can't login, do you get the 'Something went wrong, it's not you, it's probably us!' message, or does it just ignore your login and go back to the blank password box? It did that with me a few times, I deleted my cookies and started again I think. It might be using cookies form the old site (which was region specific for me, like I said I used my VPN) that aren't compatible with the new.

Strange, isn't that against paypal policy? Oh well, I can buy psn cards too.

The later, I should try delete my cookies, thanks for a tip.

Does anyone know how PS4 handles downloaded DLC? Can I delete the game install without deleting the DLC/patches?

On PS3 you could do this by deleting the game on the XMB because the DLC/patches were stored on the Game Data Folder not on the main XMB.

I've looked at the PS4 menus and didn't found anything like this. I'm already worried considering 500GB is not nearly enough to manage games (I have 20 games and only 120GB left) considering every retail game has a mandatory install that requires around 40GB, so although deleting and installing games is easy and quick, having to download DLC/patches everytime I do this stops this process from being quick and easy. Please give me good news.

Hey all,

I'm planning to sign up for a North American PSN account (and get PS Plus for it) and use that instead of my Australian on. I was wondering whether it is better to sign up for a Canadian account or US one?

I've noticed that some games can be a lot more expensive (e.g. Second Son being $10 more in Canada), but there are a lot of similar prices too (a lot of the PS3 and Classic titles, for instance.)

I was just wondering what some of your insights are?

Cheers! (:

One thing that isn't super clear about PS+ for people new to it (at least wasn't for me originally) is what happens to your free games if your PS+ subscription lapses. Just to clarify for any of the recent new people to the thread, if you lose PS+ then pay for it again later, you get access back to any old free PS+ games you "bought". Though I will say it scrambles the order of your download list if PS+ lapses which gets a little annoying with the 100+ games I have because of plus!

Also, am I crazy that I never saw that you could queue a game to download on your PS3/Vita from the web store? I thought that was a PS4 thing, but I bought Meruru yesterday from class, hit download on the store website, and it was waiting for me when I got home. Amazingly convenient, can't believe I missed this if it has existed for forever.

Make an US account.

Aye, it's been there for ages! It worked like shit on the Vita at the beginning, but it seems to work nicely now. But not as nicely as the PS4, which starts the download at once while it takes some time on the Vita.

Odd...EU Gaffers didn't say that happened to them with their retail copies of the Jak Collection...

Either way at least you got 'free' versions of three awesome games :).

Speaking of using cross-region accounts, what store do people use to buy their PSN cards?

I used playasia.

In our local FB groups, someone is selling PSN HK cards at exchange rate prices (or lower than exchange rates). Same with the US PSN ones, although even better since there are multiple vendors of US denominated cards there so the pricing war keeps them low.

I do custom while keeping the aspect ratio. I don't like wasting all the vitas screen space by playing in a tiny box in original ratio, but I can't stand stretching an image out so custom is a good compromise.

But doesn't the custom setting hide a little bit of the top and down original screen ? Even with aspect ratio checked I wasn't satisfied when I tried Crash 1 last week.
Will have to check that.

I just checked by switching between them and as far as I can tell, custom just allows you to pinch to change the size of the window, but nothing was cut off. Aspect ratio just blocks you from zooming past when the window hits the top and bottom. Switching between normal and custom didn't change what I was able to see in the window at all, should've been easy to notice since I used landmarks for top and bottom. Wish I could take screenshots of PSone games on vita!

I was fine with the screen size on vita for Crash, but the controls just weren't there for me, that was my major problem.

What's the pros and cons to the Atelier Vita games that's currently on sale? I'm interested in them, but I'm worried they'll be too cute and overly focused on sexualizing the girls in the game. Usually an all female cast is a red flag for me, but the art style is what got my attention.

Just got Persona 4 for the PS3 as a ps2 classic, liking the game so far although Im scared of the save data corrupt problems the ps2 classics usually have.

I once had a faulty PS memory card that would erase all data randomly. It was horrible, and during my playthrough of P4 on the PS2, I got paranoid about the memory card even though this was a different one lol.

I didn't want to remove for another game at all once I got halfway through the game. It's just so long...

Atelier games hasn't a all female cast.

PRO

- Time management RPG, do things at your own pace, non linear.
- Feel-good, relaxing, funny story
- Likable characters
- Alchemy system is simple to learn, hard to master.
- Good graphics and audio.

CONS

- Battle system is quite simple

I have to agree about the RP on PS4, also, it's working much better for me than it has. Much more stable, and it seems the distance I can go is a little further than normal. I haven't tested out the one game that gave me beef yet, which was NFS. I would play for about 5 minutes, then the game would freeze for a second, then speed up very fast to catch up about every 30 seconds to a minute. Only game that really did that.
You know what? Fuck it, I don't give a shit anymore if Muramasa comes to the IGC anymore. I'm buying it. RIGHT NOW!
I was holding out too a little, for some silly reason. But you know what? I'm doing the same thing. DID the same thing. Done the same thing. Bingbangboom. I'll be cool if it goes to IFC, they can have my monies.

Too cute... maybe.
Sexualized... Nah. They are lighthearted games and are not like Senran Kagura (or Conception 2). They are stories of girls looking to be an alchemist while looking for a lost mom (Totori), Girl rebuilding / revitalizing a kingdom (Meruru), and I forgot what Rorona is all about. Honestly, I hesitated like you at first, Thinking of moe stuff and PANTSU EVERYWHERE but boy I was so wrong.
I honestly want to buy them now so that I can have a digital and English copy of the games but I don't have funds right now.

Sly cooper Collection arrived in korea, and there is a interesting news.

Apparently, Vita retail version's game card has only sly 1 and 2, and you have to download sly 3 through PSN.

Enclosed code contains Sly copper 3 Vita version and "SLY COOPER PS3 VERSION". This promotion continues until may 2016.

1+1 huh? That's great!

this is interesting.. haha its Cross-Buy but in a different direction (usually you buy PS3 retail and get the Vita free and not the other way around as Vita retail is cheaper)
