I'm not a "Japanese gaming guy" but I'm enjoying my murumasa...
Is there anything I'm missing for myself and any of the other uninitiated?
Dragons crown? Memories of celceta? ...?
Dragon's Crown seemed like a really interesting concept on paper (Vanillaware + random loot), but I didn't like it as much as Muramasa for some reason. Bought it at launch, got burned out about halfway into both the Elf and Sorceress campaigns, and didn't actually finish story mode until last month. I still boot it up for a few quick dungeon runs once in a while though.
Spelunky and Virtua Tennis are no longer on sale?
Also how do I get the Sly Trilogy on my Vita if I already have the PS3 version?
It did occasionally for me. Because the game isn't in a completely 2D plane like in Muramasa (you can move up and down in DC), you have to pay attention to where the enemies are standing. I wasted a few arrows as an elf because I wasn't able to keep track of where I was with all of the enemies on the screen. For me, the thing that's always kept me from DC is the amount of enemies on the vita screen...
Does it get confusing/overwhelming?
I haven't bought the DLC yet. Maybe after May's onslaught of games is over...That reminds me, I still need to play Muramasa's dlc. It's one of my favorite Vita games, and I can't believe I let this game go by when it released on the Wii. Never tried Dragon Crown's though. It seems like something I'd only like playing just to play with friends. Doesn't seem like my type of game.
GUYS!!!
*hyperventilates*
(Probably) Crimsonland HD Vita/PS4!
Sorry if thats already been widely known
curious - what screen mode do you guys play your PSOne/PSP games on Vita
Same. Just set it to Custom and I don't change a thing, keeping Bilinear Filtering on. The games look fantastic.I do custom while keeping the aspect ratio. I don't like wasting all the vitas screen space by playing in a tiny box in original ratio, but I can't stand stretching an image out so custom is a good compromise.
Wait...wait...wait...I have the Sly trilogy on disc do you mean I can get the sly trilogy vita for free as this is cross buy? Does this work for God of War too (also have that on disc)?

Eh, different strokes I guess. I don't like how sharp and jaggy some PS1 games are without the filter. :/Noooooo never bilinear filtering! It kills the image by making all the details supper muddy and blurry.
If you don't mind doing this, you can play the GOW Collection (and the Team Ico Collection too) on you Vita via Remote Play with PS3...but it isn't the ideal way to play the games (GOW has Frame Rate drops here and Shadow of the Colossus feels...off on Vita).

It sounds like GoW Collection on Vita drops frames. I wouldn't be surprised if RPing nets you better audio with a higher video resolution too.
PJM is part of April's IGC.I just noticed PJM Vita is free in May for PS+, but it's free right now. Why would they put a game up for May that is already free?
EU have given both Jak and Sly Vita trilogies as retroactive Crossbuy for Digital purchases of the respective PS3 versions. Physical is not included.
Whilst there is no confirmation at this stage, the assumption being that Digital purchases of the God Of War HD Collection will follow suit, to which I will happily accept.
Have GoW 1 and 2 HD downloaded from when they were accidentally made free for US Plus back last year. Would be nice if I could get cross buy on them but I'm not expecting any miracles
Looks like Square Enix will now be publishing WRC 4 in Japan for Vita and PS3. It was originally being handled by CyberFront before they suddenly went out of business. Kind of... unexpected.

SCEA being SCEA as usual.I'm very confused here. How is Borderlands 2 coming out next week, yet we have NO real impressions on the game? IGN got to do an unboxing of the PS Vita 2000 Bundle. But no footage of the game.. This annoys me. I want to see it in action..
New first time PS+ member here. Picked up Y's with the discount and sale, looking forward to other savings. I only have a Vita, what else should I do/know?

Yup, we most certainly did. One of my most favorite impulse buys for sure.I feel like we had the same exact experience. I randomly bought a HSG back on the ps2 and fell in love with it.
Well, trick is a loose term with these sorta kinda, but they get unlocked via loyalty, not sure when though. Basically hold one or two directions on the Dpad on the upswing, then the opposite direction(s) on the down swing. Get a perfect impact, and you'll get super side, back or front spin. Those are great on their own, and doable from the get go (I think, been a bit since I leveled a character). But do one of those shots on the fairway, and hit the pin (flagpole) with with ball, and you'll get a special shot: spiral, rising, and homing shot. 90% of the time these will go in, but I've been burned a few times by them. They look cool, and give a good bit of Points. The side and back spin shots need to have the ball hit the pin while in the air, the front spin shots can be rolling on the green and hit the pin for it to work. In official tourneys, you'll get a trophy for each one the first time you nail it. Once you unlock them check out the training mode to try the shots over And over. Good luck! There are trick shots? Are you talking about when you press the square button to make your shot more powerful? So far the gameplay doesn't seem any more interesting than the golf minigame in GTA V to be honest. Do you unlock different trick shots later or something?
Make sure you set up auto-save sync with your Vita, as you will be deleting games on you Vita to make room for the PS+ freebees.
As for the games, don't just redeem the PS Vita games, also redeem the PS4 and PS3 games. Sure, you don't own them, but if you do get one (or both), you will have an instant library of great games to play.
As for the Vita games, sadly you did miss out on some great games; they had GTA Vice City Stories, Rayman Origins, Sonic Racing Transformed, Soul Sacrifice, Strangers Wrath, Ninja Gadien Sigma + and a few others... But, the line up now is great though (Volicty is a blast, Stealth Inc. is a fun puzzle platformer, you get a free Monster Hunter game and many more!), so make sure you get the games the moment they land on plus; your library of Vita games will pick up fast!
Lastly, avoid getting too much from the sales with Plus. I say this due to SCE having a tendency to put games that were on sale on PS+ latter on. This happened with Rayman Origins already and it might happen with Maramusa (if you are interested in picking that one up), so just keep that in mind.
Muramasa the Demon Blade is something worth looking into if you don't already have the game.
Do:
-Back up saved data
-Get those free games (even the ones on the other systems)
Know:
-The mechanics of PS+
Tip: You can stack years. So if you see an outstanding sale around the holidays, buy multiple PS+ cards.
Hello fellow Vita only member! Aside from the discounts, you can now backup your save to the cloud (). This is pretty handy if you suddenly lost your cartridge / sold it and you want to play it a few months later. Considering the saves are attached to your cart / game it can save you from chugging along the lenghty JRPGs for the system.LOL
The freegames from the Instant Game Collection for this month is pretty unsatisfying compared to the EU games though.rental

That's just how it works, you'll always get the bubble layout reset when switching cards. I heard you might be able to avoid it by having one of the Vita's permanent OS apps on each page, but never tested it.How would I go about using 2 different memory sticks on the Vita. I know I can just register my psn account to both, but every time I switch card my icons reset to positions outside of the bubbles I originally ordered them in. Is there anyway to get around this or is it just a necessary evil to using 2 different memory sticks. Using a 32gb as my primary and just got a 16 gig for free I can now use on some things. Plus I just picked up Muramasa, Chrono Cross, YS and I got tons of other games too recently.

the things that will align/match in bubbles on different memory cards won't conflict (undeletable apps like settings, physical games etc) and bump their dopplegangers around. put the content on your other memory card on a page and in bubble spots that won't overlap with bubbles on the other card, or with OS-anchored bubbles that will be in the same spot on both cards.
ex: before the app limit was raised, and when i only had an 8GB card and a 32GB card, the 32GB card had two pages of stuff, and the 8GB card had all my PSOne games in bubbles on page 3... physical games and mandatory apps kept page 1 & 2 in tact.
I ended up grabbing Patapon 1 and 2! Come Tuesday I'll be playing them, if I really like them then I will definitely be up for some multiplayer!

Muramasa was in many ways perfect. The difficulty was perfectly tuned, the bosses were fun, the environments were beautiful, the controls were nice and tight, the music was amazing. Vanillaware were at the top of their game.
You know what? Fuck it, I don't give a shit anymore if Muramasa comes to the IGC anymore. I'm buying it. RIGHT NOW!
