PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS4/PS3) | March 2015

I'm 20 (1 week from being 21), work full time at Best Buy trying to single-handedly save Vita one sale at a time.

Since I'm usually the kind of person who prefers listening to talking I don't post often but I love hearing what you guys and gals have to say so keep it up!

Benedict is an archaeologist, 40 years old and have three children. With a family and children, Vita is a godsend. So most of my time playing is on a handheld, even though I also have pc, ps3 and ps4.
Your backlog won't get smaller people.

Ibuki is literally what keeps me playing Danganronpa 2. The rest of the game is pretty suspect.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but why do some games on the JP PSN store require a credit card to buy, and others don't? I just bought a PS4 and a 6000 yen PSN card, activated it on my JP account, and was planning to buy TLOU remastered. When I try to buy it with my store credit it says I require a credit card to make the purchase, even though I would be using my 6000 yen I already have on my account. Of course, when I try to enter my NA credit card it won't let the purchase go through. I live in Japan but don't have a JP credit card. Frustrating. :/

Yep age req.

Also yeah Japan hates expats. HATES. (not really, but close enough) when it comes to online payments with non JP CCs.

Will drop pants for Sony.
Does anyone know if there is an issue with the PSN store on vita. For some reason final fantasy dissida ducdecim 012 isn't there and none of the DLC. However on the psn we store it's there.

I would be surprised if there ever was a month WITHOUT a problem in the Vita store. Just checked and yeah it's not available in US. You should still be able to buy it on the webstore and download it remotely or through the download list though.

Sigh.

Okay, you win.

Deadfolk is a programmer living in rural Ireland. His internet connection works by means of strapping USB sticks to cows, smacking them on the rump and hoping they run in the right direction.

His interests include gaming on most platforms (with a preference for Vita, obviously), learning Japanese and writing English in the third person. He's rubbish at both.

He's not at all weirded out by PsnGAF turning into a support group overnight.

geez i'm 22 and i thought i was old

That's what I thought too. Then I turned 23. Nowadays I hardly remember how old I really am.

Ibuki is literally what keeps me playing Danganronpa 2. The rest of the game is pretty suspect.

Ibuki and Chiaki are the two strongest characters in the game.

Try some sheep next. I heard it's the next big thing in rural internet connections.

Since I felt very welcome into this community recently, might as well:

25 / UK / work for a charity but hoping to become a solicitor in the near future.

I've been a PlayStation gamer since I was 5 (coincidentally good timing really) and my current console of choice is Vita (though I also have a PS4/PS3/Wii under my TV at the moment)

All these Ibukis on this page <3

I used to say that here in Brazil you don't need to bother with your age after you get past 21 (so you're legally able to do anything) until you reach 60 (where you're old enough to get some discounts/benefits in cultural things, public transportation and parking lots).

Then someone brought up the annual visits men have to make to to a certain specialist after they reach 40. Oh well.

How about you guys? Again, don't disclose anything that you aren't comfortable with, but I thought since the weekends are slow, it would be nice to have a conversation like this.

I'm 26 years old, live in Germany and study International Relations. I've been as PS gamer since the PS1 and I mainly enjoy JRPGs and other Japanese niche titles. I'm also a huge fan of everything conncted to video game music.

Holy crap Banned Game gets depressing in the Education block. Glad I stuck with it though, combat system takes a while to get going but it's cool.

Well since we're doing the support group introductions...

I'm 21, in my 4th year of Medicine in Australia (yay v1perz53 Med vitacats represent!!)
Spend most of my gaming time split between Vita and Dota2 on PC...do have a ps4 but not that many games for it... Free time for gaming has actually cut down a lot since I've started 4th year :( everything has gotten a lot more hectic since hospital clinical years have started, but I still try to fit it in when I can. Gaming is my way of de-stressing :D

Lurked vitagaf a lot for the last 2 years but haven't really consistently posted though. (Or really, posted at all, heh.) Always hav been a bit shy online (though I guess I'm still awkward in real life too XD)

What else...? Oh my username comes from reading LOTR back when I was 9 and thinking naming myself after a sword would be cool haha

Edit: I totally added the vita LINE group but no one approved me :( I guess it's showing my real name since I used my mobile

I have not gotten that far. I still have to help out that green haired girl.

It's a couple chapters past that. She's a cool character though, I like her "operation" skills that involve the other characters. CG is one of verrrry few JRPGs that really properly encourages you to focus on all of your characters (but has more than a full party's worth of characters). The tactical options start opening up more a bit past where you are, when you have Shin and fill out the first 2-3 lists of commands for everyone.

BTW I don't mean depressing as (necessarily) a bad thing, but there's a major change in tone and you learn a lot more about the characters (and why they're, you know, in hell)

Still need to allocate budget and time for that game.

On the other hand, I don't understand Stella's dungeon. One day she could clear 20 floors of certain dungeon, another day with the same equipment she just died on first floor. What do I do?

I can't believe nobody's made a thread about these:
Armored Core 1 PSX is releasing this on US PSN
DoA 2 PS2 is releasing this week as well

There's quite a bit of RNG in Stella's Dungeon, and sometimes it's best to repeat the last dungeon (sans the boss) just to stock up on gear. As much as I'm loathe to admit, the $1 DLC basically fixes the stupid thing by making it faster and making you NOT LOSE GEAR (you even get to keep what you found). But generally you want to scout dungeons and absolutely not touch the last floor until you have good gear from within that dungeon. The trap-sense thing is probably the best Felis item, the traps are pretty ridiculous regardless of dungeon/stella's level.

Crazy disappointed this crap is in Rebirth 3. I hope it's been totally overhauled (there seem to be major changes but for all I know it's still awful). Even just letting you keep gear without paying for it would make it 1000% more palatable. It's clearly designed to be a time waste and worse, it's RNG based with major punishment for shit you can barely control.

Gaffers,

I have preordered Bloodborne from the US PSN store. I am in the EU.

Will I be able to play it on Tuesday like the glorious US or will I be forced to wait until Friday like the rest of the EU peasants?

I've done this several times before, but I can never remember what the deal is.

Yes you should since it follows US PSN's time thingy.

I hope so, but I have this nagging feeling that it never works that way. I guess we'll see.

Now that I think of it, the last game I did this with was The Order. That was a same day release and it didn't unlock until US time, so I might be in luck.

This week looks killer for PS4 owners :D! The best versions of Borderlands (for people who enjoy that series) and the first major killer app for the PS4 (Bloodborn) all landing on PSN in one day :).

The Vita has some good stuff too.....but between that recent flash sale and recent buy's (KH2.5 Collection, Jak Collection Vita, Neptnuina Rebirth 1, South Park: Stick of Truth, SMT: Nocturne)....I think I am set for my PS3 and Vita for quite a long while :).
