random question: i dont own PS3, hance i dont have PSN, however im thinking of getting a PS4, how good are the discounts for PSN, can they be crazy like steam (like 75%) or is it just some small discounts like 10 tp 20%

August is a 'meh' month. The games are good, but I'm not interested in anyone.
I will give a try to X-com, it looks hard and complicated, but who knows, for what I've read is a nice game.

I picked up XCOM a few weeks ago since it was free for Plus. It really is fun, but definitely hard. I've never dealt with a tactical RPG that punishes you harshly for not doing the right things at the beginning. Gives it a bit of a Dark Souls feeling in that regard.

Gamasutra.
I think it's just all of the tables in one game, ported to Vita with a few Vita features (touch controls and trophies and junk). I don't want to spend $6 on it if it's terrible. :p
Looks like they took down the PSP versions, since I can't even find a download option for them through the PS3 storefront nor the PC storefront. Terrible.

So if I wanted to see them, I'd have to go back through my download list. I'll see if I can find them. :|

Edit: Had to go back to November 2009. Sheee-ah. Anyway, it's not a mini so I can't fire it up on the PS3. Boo. Not sure if it'll transfer to PSV, so I'll have to find my PSP Go and charge it up, or something.

How so ? It's got everything from the previous Max Payne games. Maybe wife-beater Max was a bit too much for you ? :p

lol Max Payne was never a franchise that was light hearted when it came to the story...MP3 story was ok, not great but ok. I liked the setting and story of the previous two games way more.

That stupid visual style was horrible. They moved away from the noir/comic book style of the previous two games into this garbage. Didn't care much for the drunkard max payne either. So no I wouldn't say it had all the things from the previous games at all

hardly comparable. one 80% off game does not constitute 'steam level sales'.

This is not the first time it happened. I bought Riviera and Knights in the nightmare for 2.50, Machinarium, Mortal Kombat for 5 bucks, Lego Batman 2 for 5 bucks and Okami HD for 5 bucks. Stop pretending it is 'one game' only.

Hey guys, I have no use for these 30-Day PS+ trials that i got at Comic Con, so please have them:

8J9T-9PN5-6HM3

and

8FDJ-KKNN-46PG

They both expire on 7/31 so you better hurry up!

Just finished Shadow of the Colossus last night, from the summer sale (next up is Batman: AA). What a great ending! The game was a little janky and frustrating at parts, but a very cool experience. The final Colossus was a lot of fun, but I think the 3rd (one with the sword) was my favorite. PS+ continues to be the best value of anything ever.

At what time of the day does the new PS+ titles launch for EU?

Within the next 6 hours it should be up on the EU webstore.

For that matter, looking forward to getting NFS: MW, hopefully I'll be able to get it dled by tomorrow XP.

So it's still not exactly the best price in the world, but I finally got me a 32GB card for my Vita this weekend for $74.99. Best Buy was having some sort of "Black Friday in July" sale where it was being discounted. Now I can download some of the PS+ freebies I simply haven't had space for.

Of course now I have a 16GB that I'm no longer using. I was going to toss it on ebay, but if anyone's interested, drop me a PM with an offer!

As of typing, Spec Ops : The Line is not available yet and I'm really excited for it. Mafia 2 i can play on PC but I might play it.

Max Payne 3 murks the still great MP 1 & 2 they both feel hollow & weightless in comparisson.
Max Payne 3 gameplay is what NeoGaf touts Vanquish to be & then some.

So the EU-Summer-Festival Update is live.

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013...laystation-store-summer-festival/#more-139639

Looks pretty disappointing to me. Not totally bad but not "The summer-Sale will be great and we tell you that for the last 2 weeks"-good.

Keeps me wondering: Is this the real Summer-Sale or just the last part of the Summer-Festival? But as stated in the Blogpost
"These discounts will go live around lunchtime today and will run until 14th August, at which point we’ll have a few more goodies for you! Enjoy!"

So I guess this will be it and there will be another Tranche on the 14th. Pretty sure with Jak&Daxter, as mentioned in one of the first comments.

EDIT: Mod clarified the situation in the comments on the Blog: "This is the summer sale, we will be adding more titles on the 14th"
I love the EU PS Plus&Blog Team, and I think we get a lot and good sales under the year. But the difference in "special sales" when compared to the US-Programm is a big hit. Guess we have to take that for getting the better Plus-Lineup :/

Right its a rental service that is very generous. Steam is a DRM devil. When steam first lauched it actually had a few free games back in the day when I dled it in 02 I got Counter-Strike free.

You do own all PSN games you purchase except for Final Fight/Magic Sword (Damn you Capcom)

PS+ Freebies are rentals without late fees. Also you keep all titles you ever downloaded so long as you're subscribed or resubscribe. Infinitely better than gamefly & red "ripoff" box.

When are new free games announced for the US PSN+ store? In batches, or trickling in? Reading the PlayStation blog it seems like the latter, but I wanted to be sure.

Generally at the beginning of the month, they'll announce all of that month's free games. The specific dates on when they come out are on the weekly blog updates though.

Lately they've been announcing all the new titles for the month on the Monday before the first Tuesday update (so this upcoming Monday for August). They drip feed access to them out over the month though, unlike EU PS+.

They will announce the whole August US PS+ lineup this Monday. Other than that they do a weekly post every Monday to give an overview of the week's content.

Don't feed the troll.

I'm a troll when I pointed out that you actually own PSN purchased software?
When it was compared to steam sales as lacking. I would rather own something I purchasd digitally. It is fact software on steam you buy but don't actually own. I guess its only alright to dislike that type of practice when Microsoft wanted to do it on their upcomming console.

Steam gets a DRM pass.
PS4 gets a forced online play pay wall pass.
Nintendo gets a price gouge on everything pass.

Go against the gaming conformist grain & you're a troll! Yippee YAY!

Back on topic Dokuro is amazing!

Man I'm amassing so many good Vita games, just don't have a Vita lol.

Really hope Sony delivers on announcements and a price cut at Gamescon/TGS, will probably pick one up at the end of the year then for sure.
