As much as I hate typing this but seem's like ND have moved on from Uncharted, the rumour is they're working on a fantasy IP which is exciting because my imagination is going wild thinking about what they can pull off.

I don't think TLOU3 will be announced, nor do I think it's a primary focus of Naughty Dog as we speak unless they want to go creatively bankrupt.

I am not wrong though. GoW released in November. It is May and there hasnt been a first party Sony game since November. There probably wont be anything other than FF16 until September or October. That is almost a year between releases. I am not an Xbox fan. Ive never owned an Xbox. I am just pointing out an observation of Sony console warriors.

Sony has a lot of studios, I would sooner demand new IPs from their studios that haven't yet got a well-recognized mega-selling IP than from those that do. Unless of course, the studio themselves want to move on from it.

The last thing I want is Jimbo gong and telling a studio, hey make a new IP when that studio's heart is still set on what they currently have.

And My issue with stuff like saying Naughty Dog should show us they are more than the last of us and Uncharted is that I feel we take these things for granted and that's kind of an unfair expectation. They have already shown us what they are about, they gave us Crash, then Jak, then Uncharted, and then last of us. There are very few individual studios that have that kinda pedigree. I mean, there are even publishers whose entire library is tied to one or two IPs. Eg.. Take2 with their GTA and RDR series.

Yeah but Take Two have two IP's that have mass market appeal. Gamers young and old just gravitate towards GTA and RDR games with every new release. Same with Call of Duty, Fifa etc.

I know ND's strength is in their single player story driven games and that's fine. I love The Last Of Us and Uncharted IP's. I've played all the games. All I'm hoping for is for them to park those two IP's for a while, bring out something new and then when the generation comes to a close hit us with Last Of Us 3 or Uncharted 5.

But hey I'm no studio director so ultimately only ND or Sony will decide what they work on. Me? i'm ready for a new IP. If we don't get a new IP, its no biggie. I will still be as hyped and play Last of Us 3 or Uncharted 5 if they have any of these cooking.

Well Druckmann did say in an interview not too far ago that they have ended Nathan's story. Maybe they'll continue it with the other cast members, but I think all hands are on deck with this factions thing. Which I think will be a much superior version of The Division.

If there's a TLOU 3, the announcement would be 2 years before the end of the generation. As the previous titles have been released months before a new Playstation came out.
