So much misinformation and confusion floating around regarding PSP games on Vita. I just want to receive my FEB to see if I can just copy over my install bubble games that are sitting on my PS3.

If it's not on the list of games available on the Vita store, you can't copy it over from a PS3 either.

2 questions for anyone that knows the answer

1. First one, if I didnt want to buy PSN cards can I used my credit/debit card for PSN games on the vita? I know you can for PSN on the PS3.

2. If someone wants to buy the FEB after the 15th could they. I already bought mine but I was just curious to know if the FEB is a one day thing and only for people that pre ordered it before the 15th?

Got to play a demo unit again.. earlier today at Gamestop. Demo unit didn't have sound, though. :/
Played a bit of Gravity Daze. Seemed pretty damn interesting! Enough so that I pre-ordered it today. ^_^
I can't waaaaait for this thing!!

Is the non-compatible list actually confirmed? All of my digital PSP games are on that list.

And I was just thinking... maybe PSVita is detecting PS+ privileges and that's why it doesn't let anyone play all of the minis you get from PS+?

Interesting. It's like $7 for one, but if it's really foolproof (I'm really foolish!), I'd totally go for it. But release date is the 22nd. I'd have to go several weeks without a screen protector.

The product description of the one for the Vita on Amazon mentions an easier application method so it probably uses a similar approach to the one for 3DS.

Here's a link to a video of the 3DS one being put on, so if that seems too hard then all hope is lost. :-p

Still haven't decided if I want to go all digital or not. Sitting on a 16GB card as of right now but may turn it in on Tuesday for 32. Really boils to how many games I think I'll be buying down the road. I appreciate that the games on psn are discounted, but when you do the math, it would take quite a few purchases to negate the cost of the expense memory card.

For me I'll try and get a game digitally if it's one I know I'll want to keep forever, but could see myself selling during a time of weakness when a new game is coming out.

And go retail for all the ones that I can see myself beating and never playing again.

Because no one here checks the screenshot thread, I'm just gonna repost this for those who don't venture to dem parts.

Some more Gravity Daze shots. I should note before the images too; any area you see in the distance with the weird, cell-shaded kind of outline is reachable. If you can see it, you can get to it. Usual disclaimer applies; the game looks WAY better on the Vita and in motion than in these screen shots.

Here's an angle to keep in mind: people who imported or got stupidly lucky in getting their systems early are getting the equivalent of getting to step in a store and see the progress they made building it before they open it. Just because an item isn't put up yet doesn't mean it'll never be there, it may well be sitting in the stock room. Especially since if there really ARE that many omissions at launch it'd be ridiculous, even more so if they don't get them patched up shortly afterwards.

How are people getting Peace Walker to work then?
It's up on the Japanese PSN. Ergo, playing their Japanese version. Which would make this even dumber if it fails to pop up here, but I can't see SCEA and Konami being THAT dumb. So I'd hope anyways.

Anyone got any PSP games to work from downloading tranfering to Vita yet?

I've got Mod nation racers road trip working on my jpn vita :)

That's like 3x more steps! But it looks promising. Thanks.
Although all videos make it look like it's super easy.

I might just buy the official Sony pack ($10) and try my best. If I fail, then I'll get the Hori one when that gets released 2 weeks later. If I leave it without a protector for 2 weeks, it'll be dusty and finger printy beyond recovery! So much money on stupid protectors!
I always put them on slightly crooked and leave air bubbles I can't get rid of.

EDIT: I notice the official screen protector doesn't extend to the left side. It covers the right side though. The Hori mock-up-picture-thing on Amazon shows it covering the left side as well. Why can't this thing release earlier! The 22nd is so far away!
Woe is me. *whine* *whine* *whine* Early Vita.

You know, I can't help but wonder if the Hori one comes in sooner than they say. Still, it's why I'll hold on to my pre-order for the Hori filter regardless of whether I get the Vita at launch or later, at worst it's just 7 bucks senselessly blown, and I've done worse with Steam sales anyway.

I don't work for GS, but I do know the manager and Sony rep at the one closest to me, and yes, their shipment is in, so they tell me. (Chicagoland)

Is any GS by you doing Midnight launches in (chicagoland) im from there as well, and the GS manager says maybe.

I wish Square would get their damn act together and put up the rest of their PSP library up on PSN (BBS, FF I/II, CC)

Also, can we please get a US Type-0 release date and platform?

These are the main things keeping me from considering a Vita at the moment. If they never see PSN releases then I'll just buy a PSP and wait til the Vita has games I actually want to play.

What the shit, some PSN PSP games are not compatible with Vita? Did I sleep under a rock, or is that news? That sucks, really.
I've completed the list and highlighted the notable exclusions as of right now.
Hopefully most of those holes will get plugged prior to either the FEB launch next week or the official launch on the 22nd.

System's not officially out yet, and they added more post-Japanese launch anyway. Don't freak out until launch comes and nothing is added (or at least the big stuff like MGS isn't).

I had to dig through like a month of my history to dig this up.

Im TERRIBLE at screencovers but this does look pretty freaking easy and i have faith in this.
Watch for me next week cursing cause i have to order another.

Thanks!

If you want, sears.ca is also showing the Wi-Fi edition as in-stock. Maybe you can try ordering there, and canceling your amazon.ca order if sears ship first ?

Damn! I just might do that! I'll wait until tomorrow to see if the Vita is shipped out or I get an order update from Amazon and if not, I might just take that up and get it from Sears.

Thanks for pointing out Sears! Never even would've thought to check there...

My biggest problem (besides slight crookedness) is that I can never get those air bubbles out. Almost every time I try, I end up with a ton and I just can't seem to push them out.
But maybe this is somehow easier to deal with.

I'm tempted to import so I don't have to wait for the 22nd.
The official Sony protector doesn't cover the left side around the d-pad and analog stick. The Hori one does. So I definitely would rather have the Hori one.

Thank you for the video.

Another thought worth bringing up for those worrying about this: some of these omissions are really weird anyway. Patapon 2 but not 1 or 3? Ys I & II MIA despite the other two being there, along with Trails in the Sky? The second God of War game but not the first? Dissidia 1 but not the follow up and its paid demo? The follow up that includes the first game? Either this is the most eccentric and half assed list of BC I've seen since it violates even the basic logic behind the 360's (games on the same engine are good to go), or it's very much a WIP. And just as well they do this now, it sucks some for importers/those who got their systems early, but if getting this out of the way now means it gets more robust when launch hits then it's for the best.

A little concerned about the fact that PS+ Minis can't be played on Vita, at least not yet. Well can any Japanese Vita owner confirm that Minis play on the system? What about free PS+ Minis? (might now apply; I heard PS+ isn't too big in japan, maybe they haven't gotten free Minis?).

I hope eventually we can play the free Minis on the Vita. PS One classics are coming; I hope the free PS+ ones work as well (I've bought some, gotten some free PS+ as well).

I hope this isn't related to that PlayStation Suite 'have to repurchase' scare / rumor from way back...

I believe someone mentioned earlier that free PS+ Minis can't be downloaded but purchased ones could. Still looking for clarity on that, however. And whether the Minis are up on the Vita Store or whether the purchased Minis simply show up under Download History.

PS+ stuff plays on PSP, so it would be pretty weak if the Vita wasn't updated to support them.

I'm praying the Vita does get full PSone compatibility, I so want Einhander on the go.
I hope SE stops being assholes and puts those and other missing (usually non-RPG) PS1 games up on our store. I understand if Tobal 2 never comes, though it'd probably be an easy import selection, but no Bushido Blade, Einhander, or SaGa? Come on!
