I just noticed on my My "SEN" Account i have 2 psp in use, which is weird since i Deactivated ALL from the SEN page, and of course changed my email and password. I wonder if ill have any issues activating my shiny new vita :(

Yeah, I noticed the swap in Hot Shots and in Modnation. PSP games seem to work as they should though. It's a small annoyance. One that has made me decide to sell my import Vita after I Pick up the FEB. yeah I'm a sucker.

Outside of the same slowdown present on the consoles, this looks like an amazing port. I don't care if there's slowdown in the ceremonial part where the players come out and shake hands.

Ya know, I may be more excited to play PSP games on the Vita than actual Vita games at this point. I'm heavily invested in PSP games, most of them digital, and the ones that aren't I'll be double-dipping.

Japanese import here, I can confirm the X and O buttons are swapped for Super Stardust Delta. Not a problem though as its only on the home screen. I also tested Half-Minute Hero out of quriosity and the buttons were correct (X to confirm, O to cancel).

Seems to me that if you have an import Vita it's going to keep that regions button layout on Vita games. PSP games on the other hand should be fine.

luckily most of the older ones are already marked down and go on sale regularly. Love the PSN sales.

Nah, Vita's aren't listed as PSPs so it won't be a problem. I also had two PSP's registered to my account for some reason. lol

Yes. I take very good care my devices in general and the Vita is no exception, but it's not immune to accidental scratches. I've already got one on the back. So yeah, I suggest two protective filters. One for the front and one for the back.

Yeah, I was disappointed by that as well but it's no biggy. I remember a good portion of PS1 games back in the day being O to confirm as well and I never had a problem with it. Just got used to it lol. I think I prefer shooting with O and zooming with Triangle/X, anyways. As has been mentioned, PSP games seem fine.

Early buyers of Namco Bandai’s PS Vita Ridge Racer game at retail will receive paid-for content for free.

At the launch of PlayStation Vita on February 22nd and for a limited time, boxed copies of Ridge Racer will come with a Ridge Racer Gold Pass. This grants access to five new cars, three extra courses, two music tracks and an ‘extended music mix’.

Those who pay to download the game and bypass retail will also receive the Gold Pass, but only if they buy Ridge Racer before March 31st. Those who want the pass at a later date will have to pay €6.99 for it.

In April a Ridge Racer Silver Pass will be available for €5.99 which includes even more DLC for the racing game.

Also, I wonder how the content will affect the career mode. Geez, I even wonder what the vanilla career mode is like?

This shit again? I've got news for you Wonkers; I would have given Sony $50 just to get it a week early with no bonuses whatsoever and not blinked an eye. Hell, I spend $50 on on lunch two days a week taking my kids out to eat so we can chat and catch up (the two that go to University and work near my office). Money is never "wasted" if you do not regret spending it, and it's certainly not your place to decide what I can spend my money on. It's mine, I earned it, I'll use it as I please - which is honestly the only point of having it in the first place. Money, in and of itself, has no value. It's only worth what it can buy, be that pleasure, power or TIME.

any psp game recommendation that should theoretically play better with Vita analog stick?

I'm thinking Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow even though I own the UMD. I just like this game a lot and it's not too expensive on PS Store.

although other recommendation is welcomed.

It's important for Sony to secure a near console port of COD for this year's E3. The system won't have a great start sales wise, I think we all know that, so a COD announcement would be huge.

When this news first came out I thought I could finally justify this over Wipeout, but I just cant do it. Not for 30 bucks. Plus I really enjoyed cockpit view on Wipeout demo at Gamestop. I use that view for all racers plus it made the controls in Wipeout no longer seem 'floaty'. I like my racers unrealistically tight on control.

I will say what I've said to everyone so far, Ridge Racer on PSone launched with one track and was full price. I can justify 1/3rd of the price for 6 tracks.

But I'm just reassuring myself that I didn't make a dumb purchase since I didn't enjoy RR on the 3DS or 360. (Rage Racer has been my fav in the series).

Probably too many reasons to list down. For me, I want to use the US 3G bundle, play the US games. Poke around US PSN. Don't want to deal with importing, swapping of O and X buttons. Buying the US FEB version gets all the localized support and bundled goodies but I still get it as early as possible.

It's our choice and just let us be.

No news yet but Hulu Plus is one of the third party services on SEN. Will have to wait for them and Sony to work out the details.

So far they have announced Facebook, 4Square, Flickr, Twitter, Skype, NetFlix, Google Maps, Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, PlayMemories. I think Japan also get Nico Nico streaming, Alarm Clock and a doodling pad app.

EDIT: Japan also get the Torne DVR Vita client.

EDIT: Sony announced some free apps/games like Near, T@G to encourage player interaction. I heard Near is clumsy to use. They should really improve the UI if true. It's not 2006 anymore.

Strong supporter of my PSP version and wanted RR2. Stuck to Daytona during Saturn/PSX days. Although Encino Man's favorite was arcade 'Rage Racer' :)

Is Medal of Honor: Heroes or Heroes 2 up on PSN? I imagine the servers are long still gone, but still. Heroes was a great game.

Also, Coded Arms (my favourite, though pretty much hated by most).

I'm still really hesitant on getting that Katamari game. I love KD, but I've never actually owned the games and thought this version would be good to get but... I wanted this to be on par with Forever as far as being fully featured and tons of content but that's not what I'm seeing from reviews. Anyone have it and thing it's severely improved from the anemic psp version?
 
I picked LBP as my game from the Taco Bell contest, and I got a follow-up email saying "We regret to inform you that there is an unforeseen manufacturer’s delay on the release of LittleBigPlanet™ until October 2012." So there's that.
 
Has anyone from the EU imported a 32gb memory card? I was going to use videogamesplus before they got hacked.


If so where from and how long was delivery?

All I could find (on Wiki of all places) was "2012" so I guess that fits. Shame but my pre-order remains intact.

I realise I haven't got a screen protector or case though. I don't want to rehash old discussion so will have a trawl of the last couple of pages. But if anyone has any strong opinion please do post a reply!

EDIT: Awesome name too petethepanda.
 
Does anyone know if Disgea 3 is still coming to Europe? Only it used to be available to pre-order but now I can't find it on any UK retailer. :(
