It seems like the Vita was built with revisions in mind. That's why I'm getting the wifi model first. Years down the line I'll pick up a revision with an improved OLED, power consumption, 4g?, and etc.

That's interesting. I figure years down the line I'll be getting a wifi model so I went with 3G first.

From early reports, there is nothing about MGS3D to salivate over. Framerate on the final build is supposed to be about the same as the demo released. I'd say MGS3 on the Vita will be much better.

Watch that sucker sell.

Nintendo 3DS is $170 in USA? Here in Denmark, the cheapest is $248 after the price cut, while the cheapest PS Vita WiFi is $345.

I think it's 170$ in the US, a few days ago Newegg also dropped the price to 159.99$ for a limited time.

A lot of text to translate I'd imagine.
I don't think that's the reason. 8-4 (the ones translating it) have been talking about what turned out to be Gravity Daze for a very long time.

I hope the game removes the mandatory touchscreen interaction in the time it takes to come out.

Getting exiting now that were so close, i really cant wait to try it out and im actually really curious to try out the 3G aspects, im hoping the Netflix app will work as i just joined up.

Speaking of 3G, i remember someone posting about these 3G sim cards you could get:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-THREE-3G-3-Mobile-Broadband-SIM-Card-3GB-X-6-18GB-Data-6-months-/250963293608?pt=UK_Mobile_Home_Phones_Sim_Cards_CV&hash=item3a6e93f5a8#ht_2051wt_1159

Now does anyone know how reliable they are as it seems to be a fantastic deal compared to the high street deals?

If they are i plan to top up the Vodafone sim and get Wipeout for free, then once that finishes get one of these and be sorted for 6 months at 3GB per month cap.

Other than that im getting Uncharted Boxed, plus i should be able to get Escape Plan for £4.99 with my pre order voucher :)

I also have a £20 voucher for Gamestation so im thinking about getting the started pack, although i do plan to pick up the nice case with the interchangeable covers from Amazon at some point.

Glad i have a half day at work booked so i will be able to try it out quite early.

What could they possibly be waiting for releasing Gravity Rush months later? Are they adding anything to it?

Sony wants to release 2-3 games per month instead of blowing their load early. Games like Sound Shapes and Gravity Daze are finished and just waiting to be released.

There are still rumors floating around about a Feb 22 launch in Europe. I'm guessing they're trying to space out the releases to give titles like Reality Fighters and ModNation Racers a chance.

The only game I plan on getting is Gravity Rush, so it'll be a long wait with demos before it comes out, unless they release something new and good in the meantime.

Did anyone see this its another big vita feature for some of us! This comes from the play station blog Europe twitter account

@TormyJai Downloaded PS one Classics will be compatible with PS Vita soon after launch. #vitadeets

In the back of the VITA games for multiplayer, what's the difference between AdHoc and Infrastructure ?

Is Virtua Tennis 4 for the VITA playable online or between VITAs only ?

So whats the deal with ridge racer, looks to be delayed in usa but all the uk sites still have it for next week. Just late in changing the date or what?.

Is it confirmed ALL 3G Vitas in the UK will come with Vodaohone simcards? The Vodaphone site says only if you buy from them, and official playstation sites only says Vodaphone is there preferred partner and not 'all 3G's come with a Vodaphone' simcard.

adhoc is Vita to Vita directly, like beside you, infra is the normal online thingy

I hope you're not actually surprised by this.

I'm not surprised that there are people who think Vita will fail but it's still a bit shocking that people will throw logic under the train when discussing the system. No doubt the Vita has an uphill battle but equating the future potential of a PSV CoD to past handheld versions is a bit ridiculous. This is the first opportunity for a true portable CoD experience. Even if you're not planning on buying a Vita, it's still an exciting prospect.

What darkwing wrote. Also, VT4 is playable online.

I think PSVita 3G might be unlocked, I think it's a result of EU regulation. However, all Vitas 3G sold in the UK will most likely carry Vodafone SIM, and promotions. My guess is you could just buy 3G, throw Vodafone SIM away, and put in your preferred carrier.

People need to justify their purchasing decision, nothing new here. I understand them, not everyone wants to get/can get a second handheld. The moment Theatrhythm comes out in the West I'm going to buy 3DS, even though the graphics are *ehem*.

Another review of NGS+ by G4TV and no mention of framerate problems. They say the 76 ninja trials are 5 to 10 min long and work well on the go. Again, the only problem mentioned is that it's the fourth release of a last gen game, but it's still great.

I think I'm gonna go with the reviews and ignore someone who's anal or paranoid about the whole 60 fps vs 30fps.

Apologies if this has been asked before but can you buy games from the store via the website and transfer them over to your vita via your pc with the content manager?

Wow, that CoD thread has convinced me that there are people on GAF actively looking to shit on the Vita any chance they get.

I don't know if you've noticed, but there is a quite fanatical Nintendo fan majority on this site. They're still feeling a little vulnerable after that really dark initial period that the 3DS had, so their first instinct is to lash out at anything that could be perceived as a threat.

I MEAN LOOK AT THIS GARBAGE
Nah CoD Vita will be duking it out with CoD 3DS (for all we know they could be the same game just with better graphics etc for the cod version).

One has a bigger install base and better control scheme (with CCP) the other has better graphics.

The fight is on.

Currently transferring 219 wallpapers from my PC to my Vita via Content Manager. It's going extremely slow. Been at it for about 20 minutes, and it's only transferred 20 wallpapers. Anybody else have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Also thanks to the poster for linking me to the Youtube video with the Hori screen protector.
While it's not as fast for game transfers, all my photos go pretty quick.

I love the FEB case, but getting the Vita out of it is weird.
I usually flip it over and already have my fingers on it. Heck, the last 2 days, I've had it out of the case while I do the detox process for DAT SMELL.

That's a great ad.
It shows how cool cross platform compatibility is for sure.

I think anyone can see why they delayed it.

What website? The only way to buy games on PC is using Media Go, however that doesn't work with Vita. You can buy games from the store using Vita or a PS3.

LOL tell me about it.

Right now the topic have changed into there will be COD 3ds version and also it will have the better usebase and control than the vita version. The only advantage Vita has is it's superior graphic....

Thanks for that. I'll probably use the Vodaphone simcard and the £5 a month option.

Regarding 'Near', do you need to leave the Vita on standby with wifi/3G on when youre out and about for it to collect info like the 3DS, or would you leave the Vita off until you actually want to use it than look for and collect trophies/items/info yourself.

I'm trying to figure out if i can just leave it on standy in my coat pocket whilst at work for it to collect trophies and stuff, or leave it off until lunchtime then switch on and use 'Near' then.

Still not fully understaning 'Near', i wish there was a (complete) idiots guide to how it works.

GAF is like hounds that would jump on any weakness. They jumped on 3DS when it launched as well. Now they clearly forgotten or put the 3DS fiasco behind to jump on the Vita.

GAF has also jumped on the Kinect, but after it's success they waned off of it.

I just mainly go to official threads now because it doesn't result in doom and gloom and childish behaviors to an extent.

Sorry ignore me. I thought for one stupid minute you could buy games from the actual store section on the Psn website.

Sorry.

Please be careful, I am really not sure about that. I know all mobile phones in EU need to be sold unlocked for some time now. I also don't think you could even lock Vita, but I simply don't know. Getting Wi-Fi version myself.

Will edit to not bring the conversation down. Vita already gets the short stick in many threads.

Asking again:

Anyone got a list of Demos available on US PSN? Maybe even with demo sizes?
