It's actually bad timing, that I'm getting a PS Vita and games by Monday, and then PlanetAxel probably won't send the memory card until sometime next week.

I can't save in my games if I got no memory card right? Or is it only some of them?
 
Sure people jumped on the 3DS, but there was a fundamental lack of logic in many of the criticisms for that machine. It was still selling despite its high price point, it also didn't have the software to support it either. Vita will likely not be successful in its current form, however that could easily change with a killer app or a price cut.

Personally, I am baffled as to why Sony didn't just release the Vita in its current hardware form, but only slightly more powerful than the 3DS. Its lack of 3D would have given it a further hardware advantage, also it'd have noticeably better battery life, it'd be cheaper and just generally more desirable.

It would have dominated.

It doesn't look like it, but why not just put the games on top of the vita when you close it assuming you have a screen protector. It should have a lot of wiggle room because it has to accommodate for the twin analogs.

well, the line between fan and fanboy is quite thin, but i think it all comes down to how reasonable you are about things, haha.

personally though, i'm a gamer and i'll game on as many possible platforms as i can!

A handheld without Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing etc isn't going to dominate a handheld that has them.

I used Lockerz to pre-order UFC and SSX. UFC just shipped today. Prices are better than anywhere else and free shipping, but certain states are taxed and the ship time might take a while depending on how good the deal is (they got absolutely nuked with Vita ordered when the 3G one was 240 + tax, and Uncharted was 20).

Their stock is pretty limited though, and they might not have a Ubi relationship, hence no Ubi games.
 
Any news yet if us UK users will have to go through the same setup process as many others have had to, ie. Download all system updates BEFORE logging in to your PSN account?

What about that Thrustmaster VIP one? I'd recommend a sleeve, but those can actually cause scratches due to dirt and whatnot getting inside...
 
Beginning of day 2 to clense my FEB case. It still smells but the combination of good cologne and burning tires is somewhat appealing. I will actually let it air out the next 2 days. This is a process ><

If these 2 games did not have the option to play online no way i would get a VITA, i really hope that most games who have a good online potential experiance will support online play.

I got the CTA Digital one off Amazon, though I have no intention of taking it anywhere really.

What about one of the Hori Hard Pouches? Not the cases that Amazon has, but the ones from Play-Asia? Those look solid.
 
Feel like I made off like a bandit today.

I had a PSVita 3G fully paid for.

Today I swap in my 3DS with two games at Gamestop and now I have three Vita games (Uncharted, WipEout, Rayman), 16GB storage and a pouch fully paid for with credit to spare. Also getting the free bonus headphones with EU pre-orders.

Best launch ever.

are those pouch/sleeve/whatever style cases similar to the one that came with the original psp out in the wild yet? my psp-2000 never leaves that thing.

You should really consider Hot Shots or get some games in the B2G1 free sale. HSG has been a blast and as good as any HSG game I've played.

The soft ones are. The only problem I have is the sticks catching onto something. I have the FEB case and there's no issue there though.
 
Crap, where is the spreadsheet for PSN names? I looked in the OP, but didn't see it there. I think I might have accidentally deleted a friend request from a gaffer; I noticed it the day after playing CoD, and when I get invites from randoms, I usually delete them. I just want to check to make sure it wasn't one of you guys.

Edit: Nevermind...I'm dumb. Found it in my browsing history.
 
I be back in a bit when I can take more shots of the OS that some haven't seen. I took quite a few yesterday so look up my posts from yesterday or Wednesday.

I don't know. Golf gameplay has really never interested me. If I buy HSG it would be for the nice auxiliary functions like the production values, the lobby system, stat building etc.
