A heads-up for those with the FEB case: it will scratch the top of your system (card door covers) if you aren't careful when placing or removing the device from the case.

Great so not only does it smell and hold only 4 games but it can scratch your system too

Are you sure? They removed active downloads from 5 to 2, so, when PS1 games get compatible with Vita, I won't be able to buy FFVII once and put it on the PS3, PSP, and Vita. AFAIK, you'll only be able to download the file on 2 active devices.

It's 2 PS3s and 2 portable devices (PSP/Vita). 4 in total.

I've been a prime for just as long, really its just that amazon costumer service is really random sometimes depending on the rep and what method you use to contact them, you just got lucky and I didn't.

As for the E3 talk i really hope we see SCEA taking vita more seriously. I kinda mostly want new ips for this thing from people like media molecule and sucker punch etc. I wouldn't mind seeing a red dead and a burnout paradise 2 for vita if we're talking about third parties. But funny enough there isn't much existing ips I want for this thing (that hasn't already been announced) .

Good choices. I got Uncharted, UMVC3 (MvsC3?), and Hot Shots. With the $50 gift card I got by applying for the amazon CC It's really like I got buy one get 2 free. Now I'm kind of happy the magical $39.95 32 GB deal didn't pan out.

Walked into my HMV in Oxford Street (london), and saw they were giving Uncharted away with any Vita pre-order and most of the games were discounted to £25 when bought with the system (I would imagine it is only one game per system). Makes it to be about £10 more than the amazon deal when you factor in the memory card, but you do get the pre-order pack so it factors out to be about the same cost.

That trailer was like a dose of nostalgia being pumped into my retinas. I will own this on my Vita!!

It's insane how many games are coming out for this thing. At least one thing is clear: the software lineup is not a hurdle the Vita needs to clear. Public perception/knowledge is probably the largest, but if PlayStation fans get out there and become as vocal as Nintendo fans tend to be (I remember many of my diehard Nintendo fan co-workers back when I worked at Activision were singing the praises of the Wii non-stop).

Nintendo has a crazy vocal fanbase. Word of mouth is what helps their systems do well until big titles release. The 3DS was the first Nintendo release in recent memory that launched with really weak titles.

The Vita is launching with surprisingly quality titles. Now it's time to get the word out. The system is truly a remarkable machine for gaming enthusiasts.

I keep hearing the end of March for the Vita version but there has been nothing confirmed.

Is Ridge Racer the gimped version or is it going to be a full game with a ton of tracks? Have not followed it much as of late, so any info would be nice. Ridge Racer was my favourite PSP launch title..so hoping the new one for Vita is good.

Ridge Racer will apparently have a code for downloadable content packed in. Same with the digital version. I'm not sure if that gets you everything though.

Well thanks to the Amazon deal and credit card (which I have no intention of actually making a purchase on but nets a $50 gift card) I can either get 3 games for $39.95 or the 32GB for $50. I really like having the capacity to hold all the games digitally thanks to my time with custom firmware on PSP but 3 games for $40 is pretty darned hard to pass up. Then again $179.95 (32 Gigs and 3 games) vs $39.95 has sold me. Oh well no DD for me.

Which credit card are you talking about? I can't find a gift card from it anywhere.

I'm sorry, but for my shiny $249 handheld I want games like Gravity Rush or Super Stardust Delta, not retro crap for $5, no matter how nostalgic it is.

Yes, Vita needs to have more quality software. Not PSN $5 variety type, this one can come once there is enough games for 39.99$ to justify buying Vita. All PSN games are simply value added.

Wouldn't be surprised if you still got it on wednesday. They'll probably send it via courier to ensure delivery on release .

That's true. I guess for the most part it might be too early to tell, but one demo unit I tried at my old store was pretty loose already (more of a public abuse thing). I guess this is the only advantage of slider sticks, but thank god they went with the traditional sticks Whoever decided to ditch the slider design at Sony needs to be promoted to a BOSS

I already picked out Lumines and Rayman from the Amazon B2G1, but now I can't decide whether to get UMvC3 or BlazBlue.

The one and only time I played MvC3 was at the launch party for it in San Francisco last year, and I've only played BlazBlue at a friend's house. I'm leaning toward BlazBlue because it supposedly has more singleplayer modes.

Random thought: I'm surprised Namco didn't come out with Soul Calibur V for Vita since the game came out for PS3/360 within the same month as Vita's launch.
