Maybe the Ghost game, although that's really just one playing and others helping tell where the ghosts are.

I think he actually meant the platformer, now that I've seen all the games in the above video.

From the 2nd player perspective, it feels a bit different. He wouldn't know to call the game a "Platformer", he's not enough of a gamer to know the lingo like that, so I'm not surprised he compared it to "Mario Party".

It's ironic that the only person I know in person who owns a PSVR is someone who usually only plays CoD and NHL all year round.

A buddy of mine told me that the most impressive thing he has done on PSVR so far was one of the 3-player games in Playroom VR... it's not the one where you are the large monster fighting the 4 controller players.

Anyone have any idea which one he is talking about?

I'll search for an overview / review video... Edit: Gameplay of all games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmtcLq1tdMQ

Edit: He said it felt like a Mario party game...

Edit: Watching the vid, I like that it takes picture of the group after playing (the cat/mouse game at least)

Edit: LOLOL wtf is going on in this old west saloon game?? I assume other players are telling the VR player who he needs to shoot? This is hilariously charming!

Playroom VR which is free is amazing and a great social VR game wait till you see the claw game room fully unlocked its so god damn cool! Really fun and yes cute as hell, if you get VR and not had the camera before don't forget the orginal Playroom and all its DLC is also super fun and cute.

*snip* I can only imagine how Ico and SOTC would be in VR.

I've said it before but I'll say it again Wayward Sky has a simple charm about its world and characters that reminds me of ICO very much. Different art style and game but I've finished it recently and loved it. Its a real hidden gem within the VR line up.

How long is Wayward Sky ? I played the demo and really liked it, interested in buying it but i'm not sure if it's long enough to warrant a purchase.

Played 5 levels of Rush of Blood yersterday night... I think the game is ok, not so fun as I expected... playing on normal, for sure I will do a second run with the next difficulty level (not the one with the one hit life).

I like the ida to have different paths to explore, tracking was ok most of the time, but when it went wrong I couldn't fix it in any way... Had to stop playing... :(

I am so torn between keeping PSVR or returning it. I've been having pretty bad drifting issues with no solution in sight. It is really amazing but I hate having to keep turning to left endlessly.

I think I finished it in a couple of hours, maybe three. If you don't rush it too much looking for the collectibles.

If you rush it I think you can finish it in a max of 2 hours.

There is not too much replay value, but it's one of the best VR experience I had personally. Charming, fun, nice graphic, good sense of scale, relaxing (puzzles are easy).

Play it with at least one move to appreciate it more! :)

Hmmm it took me 3 sessions to finish it, guessing here, but I'd say around 4 hours. Its really charming but the puzzles are very simple. Its a nice change to have a game like this that is a bit more relaxing and at your own pace in VR. It also has collectables and I spent quite a bit of time on my first play through trying to find them in the environment but still couldn't get them all, so I'll be doing another run through in the future.

Also, I quite liked Loading Human as a VR Adventure title. Both games are slower paced affairs with little action.

Thanks guys ! 3-4 hours sounds good to me. Will probably buy it !

Can't wait for PSX in early December. I want to know when we can play Ace Combat 7. I want to know if Elite Dangerous will be VR-compatible. I want to know when Star Wars Battlefront VR is coming out. Come on!

Do you have the old camera or the new design? I am having zero issues with the old camera.

HOLY SHIT I just had this amazing idea. Could you imagine if you play through the entire God Of War IV and right before the final epic moments of the game, perhaps during a brief load screen, it prompts you to put on your VR headset (if you have one) and you get to witness an amazing final piece of the game all around you! Of course it would still carry on without it on your 2D screen if you don't have one. I want to feel the fury of Kratos damn it!

I have the older camera with older PS4. It didn't have any drifting issues on the first night. It's been giving me troubles since the 2nd day. I tried calibrating and everything imaginable.

It's not very long, but the collectibles warrant another playthrough or two. The length is just right though for this kind of game. It's not really challenging either, but that together with its charm makes playing it very relaxing. To me it really stuck out from the launch line up for that reason. I would say it's worth the money they're asking for it.

Reddit didn't seem to like this one. I was somewhat interested. Do you feel it's worth the price tag for someone on the fence, or would you recommend waiting until a sale?

Also, I'm using the old camera. I do get some drift issues, but nothing too distracting. I do have two recessed lights slightly behind my couch in my living room. I've considered getting a lamp and turning the lights off to deal with it.

Wayward sky is awesome, so far. I played for about an hour so far. It's charming as hell, though the puzzles are probably overly simplified. I had a lot of fun just throwing the ball at the chicken in the main menu. Also, those little robots are adorable.

Same story for me.
Perfect the first few days.
But one day I got a drift to the lift and calibrating didn't fix it.
tried a lot of different things: lights, no ights, sitting closer, recalibrating, restart everything etc... Nothing worked.

Yesterday I moved my camera to the top of the tv, pointing slightly down (still needs fine-tuning). And I played 2 hours of rigs without any drift what so ever.

I also had the sloping menu issue, but now that my wife has seen me play she says it's all me. I hold my head slightly to the right as I play. Very strange.

Its a solid game I liked it. But peoples mileage will vary more on Loading Human than something like Wayward Sky. Personally I want more of Loading Human and hope it sells well enough for future chapters as this is only Chapter:1. You can tell some real effort went into this game, I felt completely absorbed in its world despite some of the Janky Controls. Its a B tier game no doubt, but it also shows what having two virtual hands (two moves) in a deep adventure game setting can do! Not sure how well this game would be on a DS4 or even if it works?

That kissing moment is pretty neat. Also did you get the sex part? That was a bit weird suddenly being in the bed lying down when you're sitting. And then she hops on you.

I'd say wait for the price to drop, at least a bit. It last a good few hours. One of the longest games I've gone through so far, but it's mostly because some of the parts are a bit obtuse I think. I think it's worth experiencing, but not at $53 canadian. (Not sure how much it is where you live).

Agreed 100% on this. Hope we see Chapter 2, given where this ended. Hope it's not as pricey though, but that's probably going to be the case. I think it could work with a DS4, just with simpler mechanics. The assembly did it well.

MacMorpheus is out. It plays 3D 180/360 degree videos from the Mac on PSVR (with head tracking):

author's reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/59gf4n/macmorpheus_the_macos_app_that_can_play_3d_180360/
instructions and source: https://github.com/emoRaivis/MacMorpheus
direct link to the executable: https://github.com/emoRaivis/MacMorpheus/releases/download/0.1/MacMorpheus.app.zip

How's it working?

Anyone else try it?

Any glitches, viruses, issues with Mac or PSVR?

Yeah its cool but also funny having this virtual girl in her under wear straddling you while your lying in the bed. Its a short scene but demonstrates the versatility of VR. Its pretty harmless, and yeah then there is the separate kissing scene. Had a fun time telling the wife about this.

I'd say it's the monster escape, 4 people use the controllers to dodge the VR player who is a Godzilla like monster (which is brilliant) destroying the city and @ the end you have to avoid what the 4 people with the controllers are throwing @ you

Got Hyper Void downloading, VR add-on already done. In the far end of nowhere on a very slow connection, so might be an hour (!) before I get to play. £6.19 though, after seeing a yt vid of the 2d game in action - didn't need to think twice.

BTW, zipping through a few recent posts there looks like game spoilers - please spoiler tag that stuff if you don't mind, don't ruin things for those of us who like to go into that kind of game 100% fresh.

Yeah. When that news about the woman that was being harassed in that online game came up, it was pretty easy to see from just experiencing that with an npc how invasive it could be for her and how it could still feel somewhat "real" and it was easy to empathize with the issue.

I have to admit, as much as I love my PSVR, I don't understand why Sony didn't go with a better camera option. The tracking issues with the camera seem to account for the vast majority of issues people are having. I shouldn't have to sit 3 feet away to prevent the world from shaking.

This would be awful. Sure, let me get out my PS VR, hook it all up, put it on, get it adjusted, and enjoy a three minute cut-scene that required just as much time to set it all up.

Unless you're just leaving the headset all hooked up 24/7 for some reason this would be a waste of development time.

Agree with your point. Except I don't feel like setting up the PS VR is all that long. (Unless you unplug the side unit too.)

Takes like 30 secs for me to go in my room and take it out of where I keep it when unused and come back in my living room to plug it up.

Incredibly Precise PS VR Tracking and Ace Banana

I just recorded and uploaded a 3 minute video taken from the demo of Ace Banana. The reason I bring it up is that across all the games I've played, Ace Banana, for whatever reason has hands down the absolute best tracking (of both the headset and controller). There's absolutely no wobble, and as you can see, it tracks the move controllers almost flawlessly, even when they're partially occluded. I have no idea how or why it works as well as it does.

I get wobble in every game... except this one. I don't understand why this is the case.

Same sits on the shelf next to the ps4 where my ps3 :( used to be. Takes no time to get it out.

Yeah I downloaded the extra VR bit, it installed. I loaded the game and can't find an option anywhere :/

hmm no idea then you tried to play a level maybe it prompts you when you load into the game, also have you played it before? maybe you have to unlock it or something silly message the devs on twitter would probably be a good bet.

Strangely I don't get camera wobble at all. Just terrible terrible drift. I haven't power cycled the PU though so maybe that would help. I'll try tonight. Is it literally unplugging it and plugging it back in?

Gah..... Kill Joy. Don't you want to experience the God Of War Universe first hand? Have you got/tried VR? It was always one of Sony's Franchises that felt larger than life. With VR we could, if only for a short moment, take all of that amazing stuff that happens on our 2D flat screens and instead thrust us into it! Hell, make it a separate experience or better yet an unlock-able bonus scene accessible from the main menu!

Yup. Turn the headset and PS4 off, then unplug the PU, wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

Talked to the Dev on Twitter. The VR addon was rushed out but it needs a patch to make it work, which isn't up yet.

I don't understand how Move games in 2010 tracked better on a PS3 Eye camera than the new PS4 camera can track them today.

Taken from the PS4 Pro-thread:
"Battlezone just got a Pro patch.
- Full-complexity dynamic lighting in the cockpit
- Increased super-sampling resolution
- Increased resolution of screen-space reflections
- Improved clarity of particle effects across the game"

Wow. If every PSVR game gets Pro support like this, I'm going to have to get one :|

Can't wait to see the PS4/Pro comparisons of VR games.
