Same here. Jackal Assault is also my "you must try this!" demo for friends and family interested in sci-fi or space shooters.

Is it just me or is the player character extremely tiny? I feel like a midget in a claustrophobic cockpit.

I think EVE Valkyrie is a better experience. Just wish they'd patch it for Pro.

^^^ Limited to around 50 exclusive, short track experiences (try the demo for four of them). It forces a 3rd person view mostly with the camera higher than the normal game mostly.

It looks absolutely awesome in VR, I must say. One of the sharpest PSVR games I've tried (and I have a Pro, but am not sure of enhancements). Worth the $13.50 I paid on a sale plus discount.

I'm having the hardest time trying to put the rubber back on the PSVR. The facial interface.

I got the bottom rubber bits locked in but the top is insanely hard to pull off

The latter. It's like a mini-campaign with new tracks.

Thank you both.

if you have the chance to buy the psvr for 320 bucks (I have a 20% off coupon at meijer), would you buy it now? I was waiting for a price reduction, but I guess the price is good enough? I would buy mainly for resident evil 7

Yes, I would recommend buying, you will never get a lower price for it this year. It's definitely worth it with all the games coming out for it. RE7 & Ace Combate are just icing on the cake.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Played another hour of Holoball, this shit gets intense. I am up to 84% achievements and if you are really in that game and quickly swing left and right for fast return balls, this is really a bit of a workout. My right arm still trembles a bit, so amazing.

Kinda wished they would add some more targetting minigames or online multiplayer. I would play online MP a LOT.

My only black friday purchase, looking forward playing it :)

Hope we'll get some serious Psvr sale before the end of this year. Still need Thumper, Batman and Hypercube.

Edit: just played it for an hour, it's superb :)

These BOUND comments just kept chipping away at me. I kept resisting. Even at 50% off, the reviews about poor control kept me from jumping in despite how 'cool' the game looks.

These last few GAF comments pushed me over the edge though. Had to buy it. I mean, it's 10 bucks, right? Based on GAF love, I bought Pixel Gear and HATED it (but the gun accuracy really is spectacular), so I was really hesitant to give this a go.

Guess we'll see tonight.

Still very sad that the No Man's Sky Foundation Update didn't include a VR mode. One can dream, right?

The controls are by no means bad. Its a good game, just more of the artsy variant but a great VR experience nonetheless. Enjoy!

Bound is absolutely incredible with the PSVR, I play it on the Pro and the image quality is amazing.

Got to spend some time with Holoball today. Man is that an awesome experience, its very basic, but tons of fun. The music alone would be worth the price of admission =) Was cheap as well, one ps+ sale +10% promo right now.

Honestly, my only complaint is the camera control. If they do come through with a patch that makes the camera similar to Robot Rescue in Playroom VR, it'll be a lot better.

I got Rigs on the cheap and like with many other games I'm still having issues with the game's center drifting to the left. After 15mins in game I'm twisting my neck 90 degrees to keep centered. I've tried a number of things to attempt to remedy the issue including moving the camera to different positions, re calibrating the headset and controller, adjusting eye distance , and setting the PSVR up in different rooms in the house.

Has anyone with the drifting issues found a permanent fix by chance?

I bought Bound because of the BF sale combined with the store-wide discount of 10%. For $9, it can't be too big of a risk. I won't dload it to play until the camera patch comes out, however.

My VR unit is being delivered this week.

Are the Move Controllers and Camera absolutely necessary?

I would definitely grab some Moves if you have money left over for it. The best and most immersive experiences made great use of them, like Harmonix, Holoball or Batman.

I have no problems with my PSVR when using it for VR but when I use cinema mode, it drifts to the left. Is that normal for people? I'm guessing it is not.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

The difference on Pro is that it runs at 120fps.

It's very normal and widely reported. I've experienced left drift, right drift and no drift at all in cinema mode.

If it's only cinema mode you get the drift, try shaking the headset like a can of soda before putting it on, for me it makes the drift stop. (Don't shake it to hard)

I've been intrigued by aquatic dinosaurs since I was a child, so Time Machine was a no-brainer pick up for me. Played for about a half hour last night and had a lot of fun.

The biggest negative is that the graphics leave a lot to be desired. When not in motion the jaggies on screen are so bad, I almost feel like I'm back in the PS1 days. It's not so bad when moving as there seems to be some anti-aliasing applied. This is for the scenes around the base, underwater things look better, but the graphics never really rise above PS2.5 level. The other thing that bothered me is that I encountered several instances where the screen is black, with no sound, for several seconds. These are purposeful loading times, but it seems like something could be shown in these instances.

On the other hand, even with the below par graphics, the sense of presence is great. Maneuvering around these giant creatures underwater was awesome and sometimes terrifying. I also had fun flying around the grounds of the base and examining all the structures. And when the first real time travel sequence kicked in and the clouds in the sky started zipping by at great speed, I had a big grin on my face imaging myself as Rod Taylor.

Looking forward to playing more, but Skyrim Remastered has been cutting into my PSVR playing time quite a bit (I would give my left nut for PSVR Skyrim).

Is this on a base PS4, or are you playing on a Pro?

thanks, decided to get the core bundle for $320, bought the new camera for $30 (I already had 2 move controllers). thanks

Idk exactly what drift is, but when it seems like re-centering with the options button isn't working properly, the image is actually off to the left of center (is this what you guys are calling drift?) I'll just compensate by looking an equal distance to the opposite direction (right) when I hit option again and that puts it back in the center.

Same thing if the image seems too close to my face. I'll lean toward the camera while pressing options to re-center, and when I lean back, it's at a more comfortable distance. I do this with EVE and Driveclub... lean in during centering to set the cockpits at more natural, comfortable distances.

Bound or Carnival Games? Looking to spend my last $10 in psn credit. Bound sounds like a more polished experience, but also like something I might play and never come back to once I've finished it. Any opinions?

Anybody else feel like they wish new PSVR releases would slowdown? I feel overwhelmed with the games I have some of which I find addicting to come back to. Currently I think Thumper, Harmonix, Rez, Trackmania, Holoball and Tumble are enough to keep me busy for a few months. Also need to spend sometime with Batman and Until Dawn. I have several games I havent even tried yet too.

Coming from a hardcore Rift user PSVR is suprisngly amazing!

Base PS4. I just ordered a Pro from the Amazon sale, so I'm hoping it takes care of some of the graphics problems.

on patched titles; they look so much better. I couldn't compliment the graphics in London Heist and the Vrroom robot platformer before but on the pro; it looks bloody good. Like seriously good.

I've said multiple times; PSVR should only really be played on the pro.

I think the base PS4 is good enough for VR, but clearly some titles are much better on Pro, while others are barely improved even though they have support for it.

Anyway, Europe now also gets a tiny VR sale: Bound is €7,99 for 4 days now, picked that right up.

I really hope sony adds virtual rooms to view non Vr content. You can have nice houses like netflix and hulu on the gear vr, a movie theatre, even an arcade machine that has a joystick which mirrors your button presses.

PSVR was a big hit with the family on turkey day. Rush of Blood and the drawing portion of the Harmonix game were on constant rotation for the entire day and night.

Totally normal and very shitty, have to keep re-centering the tracking. I wonder when they'll fix this?

I have had drift issues a couple of times with mine, and found that a full power down (not just rest mode) and restart fixed it. In fact, if I know I'm going to be showing the setup to someone, I'll preemptively do that just to make sure there are no problems. It seems to reset the tracking and make things a lot better.

As far as people asking about the Move controllers--I would say don't spend the money on a PSVR setup unless you're getting the Move controllers. Having your own "hands" in games makes it that much more immersive.
