Yeah. I’m going to pick up puzzling places. I need more chill out games.

Well worth it, imo. Though the audio design is pretty cool, most of the time I play with my own playlist.

I've ordered myself a PSVR today. Was on sale and I got a code so I snagged one for £309. Bargain! Can't wait tog et my hands on it and play through Village and 4 remake.

Hope you will like it! Village remains among my most special VR memories. Phenomenal game :messenger_heart:

Love the profile pic and yes, you are in for an absolute treat with Village and RE4. I prefer Village for VR but both are absolute dimes.

Welcome to the family! :messenger_fistbump:

I cannot wait to play those two games. I only bought the original PSVR for Resi 7 and the Quest 2 for Resi 4. Yes. I like Resident Evil haha.

I downloaded the demo for my girlfriend, then put two pieces together, closed the demo, bought the game directly. You won't regret it, this really is fantastic!

Then you are in for a treat! RE4 and RE8 are imo superior to RE7, and the added motion controls with PSVR2 make the games way more immersive.

Something is definitely wrong with Starship Troopers. I think it's going to be fun but the aliasing is insane, lol. It's like if you used the straight line tool in MS Paint and raised one end a few degrees. It's like jagged steps. The resolution is rough too, not Hellsweeper-launch bad but it's pretty bad. It's still not in the VR2 section in PSN.

And then XRGames on Twitter is talking about their big update for Quest and that PSVR2 got it as well with our Day 1 patch. The discord shows no sign of a CM or devs.

There's no way they released the game like this on purpose.:messenger_tears_of_joy: And if they did I'm gonna laugh even harder.

I'm still gonna play it post-Behemoth but something ain't right....

Yea, Starship Troopers is broken on PSVR2.

It's actually pretty damn awesome as a game but the adustment tool for the ammo/grenade pouch is broken and the default position is so far out in front of you, constantly grabbing the wrong thing in the heat of battle. The boss at the end of the first mission is a giant bug and a fellow trooper drops rocket launchers for you. The game just stopped letting me pick them up. Picking up things is already rough at times due to the pouch placement, but I made sure to try it a few times without being too rushed and yea, the game simply stopped working.

Couple in the bad resolution as the cherry on top.

No clue what's going on with this game but I really hope it gets fixed because it was good fun while it was working.

I don’t understand how a VR title ships with basic core mechanics being broken. Something odd happened to the development of that game.

Yea, like it's literally just reloading and occasionally picking up an item. I recognize that user error is often a factor in VR but I play too many janky games, and enjoy them, to not be able to recognize when something really is off in the game.

Any co op games where two ps5s and two psvr2s can play together? Thinking of picking up a second vr2 for wife she has trouble walking so something couch style would be good.

Any coop game really.

Waltz of the Wizard has couch coop, 2nd player uses a controller and plays on the TV.

Everything else with VR coop though, you'd be able to coop but not sure if you'd need two separate PSN accounts in order to link up in a lobby.

Finished Behemoth last night. It's still a 7 for me but only because I know Skydance have the means to clean up what needs to be cleaned up. It may not be fair but if this was a indie studio with a small budget, I'd give certain things a pass but I can't help but hold larger studios to a higher standard.

Fantastic game all the same though, highly recommend it if it looks like something you'd enjoy.

Played about an hour of Alien and I'm loving it so far. Was in a safe room when I suddenly heard the motion tracker go off. Pulled it out and see the mark getting closer and closer to the room until it's on top of me...
It felt like I recreated this scene

However, like in Resident Evil games, it seems safe rooms live up to their name, so the alien couldn't actually get in... still, it actually got me going for a moment lol

Edit: ok I do not recommend playing this game on the hardest difficulty for your first playthrough. I am getting swarmed hard yet I'm still learning how to reload my guns lmao

Just bought Toy Trains for 2.7€! Its a chill experience, a bit like Puzzling Places and for that price I just could not resist.

I saw some deep sales for Jurassic Park (4.5€), Waltz of The Wizards for 6€ and Red Matter 1 for 10 bucks.

Yeah, I finally got around to playing the demo for puzzling places tonight and after finishing one puzzle I knew this was right up my alley.

Want to wait on the sale for the Premium Edition but I may cave in and buy it soon.

I also enjoyed the demos for Cosmonious High and Masternoid. Although Masternoid was the first game where I had to stop playing due to getting a headache.

Will get on deep sales.

Kinda sad to see PSVR2 drop out of Amazon top 100. I see the bundle is still in stock but it isn't even listed when I search it. I think it may be low stock after the initial deal because it was so high for a long time.
you have to search the full name of the bundle on Amazon for it to pop up, amazon is odd it won't let you ps psvr 2 if ithe non bundle is sold out and its weird that its not in the top 100 since its just topped 30k on amazon yesterday had been at 20k

Sale tomorrow?!?!
Uh oh.
I made a resolution a few months ago that I'm going to chill on game shopping. This is more about buying retro games. It gets quite expensive, because while I play a good amount of them, it is mostly about collecting. AKA, doom scrolling ebay with the ever-looming threat of dropping $200.

BUT. I made one exception. My other resolution is to play more vr because I've found it's therapeutic. So vr games don't count and I can buy whatever guilt-free.

lol.

So I will be checking out this sale. I want both moss games and 7th guest.

Can anyone give impressions on colossal cave? Being a remake of a text adventure, I'm sure it's not for everyone. I really want to see what Roberta Williams have been up to lately. I will probably buy and try the game either way. But I'm curious to hear what anyone else thinks about it.

I'll stream some in the coming days and link it with some thoughts.

I've heard it's old school as can be. Like each puzzle is a "point" and you basically just try to get as far as you can. I think theres insta kills and all that. Basically the OG text adventure translated to VR, and the VR is a port of the flat screen PC remake.

7th Guest might be better if you want an old school adventure game. Some of the puzzles are mind numbing but it's a cool game.

I decided to take the plunge (terrible pun intended) into Subside and bought the full game.

This thing is MAGICAL! The photorealistic graphics, the sound design, the animations, the controls and the surprisingly good level design make for a mesmerizing experience.

I also love the minimalist and elegant structure of the game: it feels like the dev did not want anything to stand between the diving experience and the player. You just choose a "simulation" (map), click on it, and boom within 2 seconds you are in the water. No tutorial, no douchebag talking to you on a radio, no markers: just relax, dive and explore the wonders of the sea.

For reference, I did not like Kayak VR, it felt barebone and I got bored after 20 minutes, but Subside is way more compelling and gamifies its experience better. Just having to unlock (useful) gear and maps makes a big difference and everything feels more engaging and fleshed out.

For now I would rate it a solid 8+ (and I have not unlocked the "wow" levels yet)

I'm glad you like it. For me it's an unforgettable expierence.

The guy who made it, I remember hearing he is not even into videogames. He loves diving and wanted to make a simulation.

Nice.

Ask for impressions on Vampire, unless you're already convinced you're gonna love that game.

I honestly think that game is a total dud. It's not trash by any means but the AI is brain dead and the story is delivered in a really subpar way. I didn't understand the overwhelming praise it received but to each their own.

Don't sleep on Genotype if you aren't familiar, that's legit one of the best looking/playing games on the headset. It has a Valve vibe to it with the story. Cool Metroid aspect too. You can shrink down and go through vents like Samus does in ball form.

Also, check PS+, it has some of the games you listed. Pistol Whip at the very least. Might be worth an upgrade to the middle tier for a month so you can check out the games before buying individually.

Yeah I agree with Vampire Masquerade. I was very hype to play it but I dropped it after 3 hours or so. The gameplay never felt good, the levels are extremely narrow and the IA was a pain in the ass.
Is it worth getting the dlc for Puzzling Pieces?

Last day before the sales ends for it.
Which one? There are like dozens :d
I bought quite a few dlc and the ones I would strongly recommend are: "Summer Dive", "Behind high walls", Ancient Egypt and I really liked the San Francisco one.
But tbh they are all great, you cant really go wrong with any of them. Also dont forget to download the free ones on the dlc page!

Thanks for your impressions on Vampire Masquerade. I removed it from my cart and will consider getting it when it's $10 or under.

Maaaaaan, Foglands is on sale for 12.99.

Someone's gotta take the plunge. I'll legit PayPal someone the money if they want to try it out. PanzerCute PanzerCute is a VR beast, you might like it.

I'm telling you, once you understand what that game allows you to do, there's honestly nothing else like it on PSVR2. You can bend that game to your will. I honestly believe that if that game launched in a better state and didn't have the Without Parole interview drama around it, the game would be viewed as a total indie gem.

Thank you a lot but I already have too much on my plate right now unfortunately. I started to tackle my backlog but also bought 4 new games in a few hours.

But I really appreciate the proposition, really kind of you!

On another topic the last free dlc from Puzzling Places might be my new favorite one. Absolutely beautiful and very fun to build!

Damn we have been eating so, so good lately!

Thanks, I needed it.

I think I'm good with what I got so far, and removed all the games from my cart. I'm going to focus on playing each game I already purchased and finish them before buying anything else where they may be cheaper the next time I catch them on sale.

Moss will be the game I focus on tonight.
You're gonna love it dude. Such a comfy sit down VR game. VR needs more third person games like Moss.

When I looked there was only one free dlc for Puzzling Places. Were the other free DLC only for a limited time?
