What do special/green characters give you? Just more money/exp? And how do i convert coins to bux? I only see the other way around in the bank... :/

Green jobs give you bux

Blue jobs count towards the global event

Orange "mystery part" jobs earn you a part for the current events aircraft prize if there is one.

Yes, black is smallest, blue is medium and red is largest.

Class 1 planes can land at any of them

Class 2 planes can only land at black and blue

Class 3 planes can only land at red ones

Yeah... it seems like I should prioritize obtaining more airports than airplanes for now.

Because the Bitizens have no concept of 3d!

Actually it's just a design decision we made early on to make the game a bit easier to develop.

I am actually going to bed though, hopefully our update gets through review quickly and makes the the game more stable for the people having issues.

not only do i love this game, but i think it is cool that there is a dev actively posting in this thread. gave it 5 stars in the app star and i have recommended it to several people already

I didn't realize when I assembled my Birchcraft earlier that Class 2 planes can only land in Class 2 or 3 airports, so I've been using it to ferry Calgary people back and forth between New York and Detroit(my only Class 2/3 airports), leaving them in the other city, so I end up with a buildup of people to send to Calgary when my other planes are finished their deliveries. Seems to be working out fairly well so far.

edit: remembered I also have DC, which I've been using as another source for Calgary passengers.

They are always open i think. Each airport tells you how much layover space at the top right corner "0/6 L" or something.

And man, give a prop to whoever designed the madlibish 'bitbook' tweets system.

I was bored so I went browsing the game folder. Found the database with the player data and gave myself 999999999 coins and bux. Now I can play without the F2P tedium attached to it.

Damned! Woke up, wanted to start playing again, and the game reset itself again, for the fourth time.... It also keeps crashing on me, I hope this is a known problem and will get fixed soon cause I love this game!

I started up again on my 4th game last night and no crashes so far. I've stopped tapping the screen madly whenever I start it up after my phone goes in to sleep mode and everything seems smooth. Back up to level 7 and unlocked Sydney so I'm happy. My partner started her game up and is starting in Japan, no crashes for her yet because I warned her about what not to do :p

With some people the game keeps resetting. I'm scared that this happens to me too. Does it help to keep a iCloud backup?

And how can you get your old game back?

Great that we're getting a patch, wonder why I even doubted, Nimblebit is awesome!
I had no idea how many coins/bux I had though, but I dont really care either, I just want to play this game and buy some bux when the game is stable to support Nimblebit!

Would any of the more experienced players be willing to write a short FAQ / strategy guide for GAF Air? Things like why layovers can be good; whether investing in airport upgrades/airplane upgrades is worth it in the early-mid game; whether it's best to have airports spread out or clustered; etc.

Maybe Pastry could post it in the OP.

Edit: I realize that the game's only been out a day, so all suggestions are preliminary as we learn more about the game.

You can't, hence the offer to email Dave to help you get back on your feet with coins & bux.

The best thing to do until the patch is released is to let the game load up before you touch anything. I've avoided doing that for the past 18hrs or so and compared to the 3 crashes yesterday, I'm making far better progress with 0 crashes :p

layouts are great mid/end game due to the bigger planes only allowed to land at the more popular cities. Investing in upgrades don't seem to be useful early game, save money to get more airports. Invest in spread out areas is preferable. Longer distance = more money, more exp, and you don't have to check your phone ever 5 min ;P

just my opinions so far.

I'm raking in the cash with Jakarta as an airport, 1k per trip, but their beginning to become longer, such as 30 minutes per flight.. o.o

Maybe some of your planes are on multi-stop trips? When they drop off a passenger or cargo at one airport and continue on to the next, you'll get coin.

Joined #GafAir! Funny enough I'm flying out tomorrow to go back home so this game's release couldn't have been better. So addictive! It's already sucking away time I should spend packing. :/

Bought alot of shitty airports to build a bridge to america from europe, but now every airport is full of people wanting to go to Nuuk! Really messing up my europe-ops. Think i have to close them all

edit: doing calgary first. How many dropoffs are required for the award?

Something I've been trying right now is for multi stop flights, I tend to want the end destination to be on a blue city (no reds yet) even if ain't efficient, because those tend to have the most jobs, and i hate waiting for jobs :(

Is kangaroo worth investing to? one more slot, but for a slow ass plane. but it's like the only 4 slot plane that can access every airport. hmmmm.
