What's lovely about it is it's perfectly clean while bigger at the same time. I actually did try out the 3DS XL earlier today, I do like it a lot, I noticed the image quality takes a small hit during 3D(graphics not the slider), but it still looked pretty good. It certainly was vastly superior to the original design.
This was the last one being sold too.
And so I got this.

This is the only Nintendo portable i don't have (yes i have even the Virtual Boy) i must buy it some of these days...
I've owned the DS, DSlite, and DSi. I can easily say this is the best one.

Neither the original, nor any remixes manage to hook me in. Must be the boringness.
Black and White has decent music, but what you are describing to me just is mindblowing. I'd say Black and White has the most boring battle music ever in Pokemon, even the rival music is overly happy and not as engaging. Black and White's music is best during the routes and towns, but as for battling, not that engaging.

i got a stupid bronze.
amusingly, i find the opposite is true. BW is best in the battle themes, and has some of my favorite battle themes in the series. Rival Battle, Elite Four Battle & VS Cynthia (which is just a faster version with a few instrument changes) are all great.

i think it depends on how big of a fan of percussion you are. the percussion in the BW encounter theme is what gets me pumped up.
Diamond/Pearl Battle Theme is better than both, though.

BW were also the fist games to implement dynamic music changes mid-battle, which really added to the epicness and atmosphere of some fights.

Are you really hating on the Rival battle song from BW? Really?
It's like people tend to forget all my previous posts I've ever made about "opinions". I am aware that everyone has a different opinion, I wasn't implying anyone was wrong or right. They responded that my favorite song was "boring", so it's quite a polar opposite that theirs is that same exact quality to me, which is what I'm referring to.

To me it sounds literally, one hundred percent as if they stuck a route song into the rival scenario. Is it a bad song all by itself? No. Is it a bad battle song? I certainly think so. It's also not just a bad "Pokemon Battle song", that's not my problem. It's not even a battle song to begin with.
Rival Battle theme fits Bianca a lot better than Cheren, but Cheren is lame and no one cares about him.
oh yeah, BW also has the best Gym Leader theme in the series.

Heh. Different strokes for different people - to me, I've always thought, "Something different? Oh yeah." It's nice to hear something that isn't your run-of-the-mill battle theme. Who says that a battle theme can't be all cheery and sunshine?

Absolutely. It's my least liked song in all the versions. While I enjoyed battling every Plasma member, I regretted the rival battles because the music doesn't sound anything like a battle song. To me it sounds literally, one hundred percent as if they stuck a route song into the rival scenario. Is it a bad song all by itself? No. Is it a bad battle song? I certainly think so. It's also not just a bad "Pokemon Battle song", that's not my problem. It's not even a battle song to begin with.

I'll first off say I do not like the intro, it has a bit of what I didn't like out of the rival battle. It's too "happy", like that's not quite the vibe I would get from the other encounter songs and their intros. As for the rest of the song, it gets better as it's played out, but I still would put it at the bottom because it doesn't try anything new like the last two gens. It doesn't "wow" me at all.

This song is just tons of loud beats over and over and "Ghetsis". The later part of the songs seems as if they're using the genesis chip for the "whoa, whoa, wuh, whoa". There's nothing wrong with that part specifically, but it is out of place. It seems like every now and then the song will for a few seconds start to sound like it's going to take off into something actually interesting, but then it goes back to the repetitive beats.

This song sounds like it was done for a Castlevania game. I'd say it is slightly, slightly, slightly, over the top, but it's not bad. It's nothing notable, but it's not bad by any means. I feel more engaged by the pulsing beat in the back than the actual music.

Ghetsis theme actually works really well for a final battle theme. adds a lot of tension to the battle and does its job well. plus after about two minutes it builds into something absolutely amazing.

To me it just seemed like One Winged Angel without the creativity. It might work in-game, but I just personally couldn't see that working outside as a song to listen to.
Anyways, as I mentioned before, I have no issues with the town or route music. Only the battle music.
Except that song doesn't sound like One Winged Angel like the Ghetsis Theme. You also won't find me disliking that song at all.

Sometimes you have to hear a piece of music within context to get the full experience. I don't need to, for some reason. I've always liked how BW and B2W2 doesn't sound like Pokémon at places.

I've always found that particular song to be exciting the first time, and still good after that.
I think my favorite song in Final Fantasy VII is Jenova's theme.
