But it lost some resistances. Loosing ground in my favorite type list.
I was under the impression that those were just to support it without having to expend psychic power. Some psychic pokemon are capable of self-levitation IIRC.

OU's a pretty good place to be for a legendary. Terrakion, Keldeo, Celebi, lot of decent ones there.
If you meant a cover legendary, then you'd have more of a point. However, Ho-Oh proves that even if you're a poorly-typed cover Legendary (And Ho-Oh has an awful typing), you can still kick too much ass for OU.
Eight legs good, two legs bad.
I it would have looked eviler and cooler with no legs and just floating.
What does that have to do with...er I mean... I'm definitely not plotting anything evil.

I disagree. Malamar using its... things as legs/supports gives its design a whole new level of awesomeness.
Shining Ruby doesn't match though. What about "Rubbish Ruby" and "Superior Sapphire"?

Rising Ruby and Sinking Sapphire are clearly the titles.
I do mean a cover legend. They would have to make a very specifically crafted pokemon that could counteract most of the Psychic and ground type threats in the tier (part dark levitate etc.), lest it face annihilation by nearly 1/2 of its potential matchups. And then there's the whole matter of what kind of role GF want it to play.

Does Ho-oh get the least attention of any cover legendary?
Magma Ruby and Aqua Sapphire.
Ho-oh is the biggest threat on uber sun teams despite a 4x Stealth Rock weakness and a water weakness with Kyogre dominating the tier. Stats and movepool matter just as much as typing.

Either Ho-Oh or Palkia. It's a shame since I adore them both.

Indeed, though the rock weakness isn't terribly significant considering the presence of rapid spin and a dearth of Rock type specialists aside from Tyranitar and Terrakion, who Ho-Oh can switch out of or counter with Earthquake/Brave Bird/whirlwind.

You'd want to drop Iron Head or you couldn't do anything to Azumarill. Just hope there aren't any Ghost/Fairy types!

No, wrong. Magby evolves into an ugly Magmar, and a somewhat less ugly Magmortar.
Growlithe is a cute dog and evolves into a majestic dog that can be your loyal companion. And I'm pretty sure Arcanine is better stats wise too, more balanced I think.
Flareon is a cat and the worst fire type. So much wrong in this post, but it is to be expected from WhimsicottGAF.
