It really is weird and nonsensical, haven't they had Charizard flashbacks or something? I recall someone mentioning that earlier on in this thread.

At least the game's Mewtwo will probably be the one and only original Mewtwo. I say this because in the original (both English and Japanese) website, the RGBY Mewtwo was directly referenced (if I recall correctly) as having been created prior to the games' events. Regardless to whether they will refer to Dr. Fuji, Mewtwo's residence in the Unknown Dungeon, or his battle with Red, they will at least most likely not contradict those events.

I'd like to see Mewtwo with an anti-heroic agenda. Fits the character very much. I also hope that his access to the new form will be properly explained somehow.

When Charizard rejoined Ash's team a few months back, they had a little segment with Ash recollecting its story. And then they had an episode where Ash trained a Caterpie to a Butterfree that only passively mentioned his old Butterfree and pretty much rehashed it and Ash's entire departure scene.

As a person who was a recipient of a cease and desist in regards to posting a leak back in September 2010, I'd much rather not post things that are massively illegally obtained through methods such as using a camera in a movie. There is still etiquette when it comes to leaking stuff.

If you do not wish to use my site due to this, then so be it. However, I'd rather lose one visitor than the entire site, which I have spent over half my life working on.

I like how you disregarded the first part of my post. Dont try to keep pokebeachs anonymity and then throw him under the bus when a poster asks. I swear, everything you say rubs me the wrong way. Pretty saying "im not gonna tell you who did it but it was so and so". Bitch move. Must've really fucked up your day that pokebeach got all the leaked info and you didnt. Eat shit joe.

I never intended to keep Pokebeach's anonymity. This was a very public situation so there was no anonymity to it whatsoever.

I didn't realise that providing details of past occurrences was a bad thing to do. My apologies.

Guys, this thread, no, this community has gone through quite a bunch of garbage and bickering to get to the amount of peace we have currently. I kindly ask you take these disputes to PMs, or elsewhere. No offense to anyone, but I'd rather everyone get along, or at least not fight with one another.

The Victini fiasco wasn't that big a deal, but the XY "leaks" were a major disservice to the fandom IMO. Not just the fact that they were false information mixed with real ones and the whole drama with the leakers, but even the real information alone. Nintendo has decided to cover certain aspects of the games; providing spoilers and asking to be thanked for that is not okay with me. And before anyone suggests to "not look at them", well, that's somewhat close to impossible for anyone who actively participates in the community.

Nothing against WPM, but as far as I'm concerned he should have ignored the leakers. The leaks ended up a short-term click bait at most, and the damage they did to multiple parties just makes them not worth it, to be honest.

Serebii isn't perfect, but at least it values integrity and I don't remember ever seeing cheap or ambiguous reports for the sake of a few more clicks.

Edit: Sorry for keeping this on. Didn't refresh for a while and was typing this before the whole matter was shelved. :p

From my understanding, everyone is discussing Gen VI here so I assume it's safe? Maybe most of us don't care about the spoilers, I guess.

I'm pretty excited for Gen VI myself, from the 3D aspect alone.

To be fair, it remains to be seen whether or not any of the info in those leaks was actually fake. A lot of it has been confirmed so far but I haven't seen anything debunked yet.

Haha, I'll have to check that out. I guess it really is, from my understanding, really plot tastic with Mewtwo. Reminds me of Kishimoto's writing as of recent.

Off topic, but this is by far the best battle in the Pokemon anime.

So, when does that Genesect event come out again? It actually has some cool potential in Ubers! Blaze Kick is pretty nice, it lets you hit Ferrothorn harder than usual with the physical Scarf set, and it helps that Genesect works well with Groudon (especially offensive ones, since those can nail defensive Dialga switch-ins after the U-turn). Also, Choice band Genesect is certainly gonna love Blaze Kick, and ExtremeSpeed could have a little use on CB even though I think this event is forced to be Hasty. Shift Gear though... I'm more skeptical of that. Rock Polish Genesect is already more of a niche surprise thing on the Life Orb set (which is already one of Genesect's most uncommon sets), and Genesect's physical movepool is pretty lame even with Blaze Kick.. I'll still give it a try when it comes out though!

It's interesting that Ash is starting off at Lumiose City considering that isn't the starting city in the games. Is he going to work is way to the starting city and then go back to Lumiose and then go in whatever way he is supposed to go.

Ehh, I don't like their faces, but their poses are good. Froakie in particular is very interesting because one of his hands(/legs?) is in his white cloud-like thing.

Maybe that's where he arrives into the region and then he gets whisked away to where ever the starting professor is or something. Cause I think where we all assume the starting town to be is actually completely landlocked and the anime can't suddenly create a port where there's no water (again).

Some well known hacker on the internet got bored and decided to attack various Pokémon sites. They don't care either way about Pokémon so it was just for them to test their skills.

On my forum, they only got into an admin account and changed a template, that's all.

Considering Ash is (at least initially) travelling with Alexa, I'd guess that he lands in Lumiose and then goes to Santalune to meet up with Viola, her sister, for a Gym Battle.

He got the passwords from a bunch of Pokemon sites I think. I know on Smogon, he got the passwords of everyone who logged back in after he logged everyone out (which thankfully, isn't as many people as you'd think in this case, though its still a good idea to change your password). I think Smogon is moving to a more secure forum though! I think he has also hacked Serebii, PokemonGTS (the site), and Bulbagarden in a similar manner. So changing your password if you're on these sites is probably a good idea!

Is there any way we can nail this guy legally? I would not mind him getting in trouble for fucking with us >:/

As long as the appropriate steps are taken (notify users and force password changes, understand how the hack happened and take immediate steps to close that hole), then that should be sufficient. Suing does nothing about the actual security problem, and wouldn't necessarily matter if the tools and methods used are publically available.

Oh yeah I know the main thing is closing up the security problem (I know this is exactly what Smogon is doing at least, and probably why its been down longer), BUT, I guess I'm just sorta spiteful over the whole thing x_x

Does anyone like lists? :p

I'm trying to make a complete listing of all Pokémon games (just games for now) released. This is my progress so far. It's a bit of a draft, but it's a start. Columns go like that:
  • Title
  • Date of first release
  • Platform
  • Genre
  • Developer
  • Potential changes needed
On the first sheet are all official, Nintendo/TCP-published games, while I've included licensed ones on the second. I don't want to mix the two, as licensed games are too many, often in a blurry line between game and toy, and mostly pointless; they are still listed separately regardless. In the games' list I've also included non-games, like the several apps/videos/publications released via electronic media over time.

There are still things I'm undecided about, like whether or not I should list GBA Video volumes and the several DS movies separately (or at all), and if there's a distinction I should make between e-Reader games (like per set or something). I'm also not sure about the Website games; for now I've only made a distinction between "normal"/old official site games, and the Daisuki/Trainer Club games. Also, the genres part is still very rough.

Feel free to add anything I've missed and correct anything you feel is improper/wrong either as comment on the sheet or here. Especially on the missing developers part, it would be appreciated.

For the record, this is potentially part of a larger-scale project. Information collected will definitely be used to fill omissions in Bulbapedia and perhaps more than that. Definitely expect it in a more formal presentation when it's done.
