On Crobat, yes. Green as the main color looked a lot better. On Kingdra, not really. Although that's more purple, I guess.

I'd like to think God was being good to me, because my first encounter with a shiny was the very first battle in SS. Yes, it was a golden Sentret before I was able to even obtain Pokeballs. After over a thousand hours of Pokemon, I find 3 during my time in SS. They didn't increase the encounter rate, did they?

Yeah! I also found a wild shiny Litwick. I really loved the ghostly fire and the ghostly eyes. I didn't like that Chandelure's shiny has plain old normal fire. =/

Pfft. All this talk of shiny Pokemon has made me sad knowing that I never found one in the wild, however it makes me happy knowing that I managed to snag a shiny Spiritomb off the GTS for a Palkia

Funny story. Every time I've seen this picture, I've always glossed over the green. When I downloaded him two weeks ago from the event, the green on his sprite seemed very prominent. For more than just a second, I thought I got a shiny Arceus.

For those of you who, like myself, a currently down in the shiny-related doldrums, just remember: it could be a lot worse.
I probably shouldn't be laughing at this, considering if this happened to me I'd probably tear my 3DS in half, but foul-mouthed 12-year-olds make for such easy targets.

Arcanine isn't a "legendary Pokémon," but his species/classification is the "Legendary Pokémon." Ask Game Freak what's up with that.You should feel bad, and you're not a legendary.

My brother caught a Doduo in the same situation. So lucky.

When I was in middle school, I had a friend who only caught his Pokemon with normal Pokeballs. One day, he decided to go after the Regis in his Ruby. I laughed at him and told him it would be a waste of time. Over the course of 2 weeks, he caught Regice and Registeel. I watched as he attempted to catch Regirock. After about the 20th soft reset due to struggle-death, a shiny appeared! I told him to just use his ultra balls. He refused. 20 harrowing minutes later, he caught it with a god damn Pokeball. Unfortunately, we are no longer friends, but in every game thereafter, I've made it my goal to catch every Pokemon in normal balls.

Mostly for EV training, not collecting. Probably half are Audinos for level boosting too.

Cool, this is going to be interesting since they haven't tried something like this before. Im excited to see something unfamiliar, as long as its a true sequel then I will definitely pick it up.

Um you guys, you know it's possible to fully populate the city and forest and keep it populated with just 1 copy of each game?
Even if one version's area is completely empty, if you enter it from the other version, there will be NPCs to talk to. It's fool proof.

Never really use X items either. Probably because I play competitively so it never occurs to me to use them in the single-player.

Wait, I think I do use them when trying to catch a legend that has a crappy catch rate. Maybe. Probably the only times.
Yeah, I used it in my Pikachu Yellow Solo Run. Had to give Pikachu a ton of X Defenses for the 8th Gym Battle
