TCG2 mostly just came out at a bad time. It released the week after the GBA in Japan and since it's predecessor took 14 months to bring to the US (and two years for Europe!) the card list would have been outdated by the time it got here along with being on obsolete hardware.

So I'm playing Soul Silver for the first time. Boy I forgot that their are barely any good Pokemon to catch that are great all the way to the end of the game. I'm three badges in and only have a Golbat and Croconaw and plan on getting a Vulpix. Does anyone else feel this way? Or is it just me?

There's 6, right off the top of my head. Although Gen II probably had the worst Pokémon in terms of stats, there are still quite a few viable choices.

I may have "TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE" as my ringtone, but the music in MvC2 is ASS. Gen 2's music is not.

Junichi Masuda indicated late last year that he was interested in doing Gen III remakes, and I guess it just got my hopes up a bit too much.

Umm it was inevitable whether Mausda teased it or not... And anyways yeah, he wanted to do remakes, not cram Hoenn into BW2
and ruin them.

Yeah, I'd hate for him to ruin Hoenn by not giving it the full focus it deserves as the best region.

Anyone else tried some of the B/W rom hacks out there?
I've been playing a lot of the most recent one Volt white. I just came from an Epic battle against gym leader Skyla.
She used: Skarmory, Gliscor, Swanna, Acheops, Braviary, and Mandibuzz levels 50 to 57 in a 3v3 battle.
After hours of getting pummeled, I ended up beating her with: Emboar 72, Dusknoir 42, Magnezone 37, Absol 45, Skarmory 39, Meganium 32.
I am a simpleton who insist on fighting with my starter only; I had to change that because there is no way the Pig of Hell was gonna get pass that bird by his Almighty self. So he picked his best minions, but they were of no use to him; so he bent other more powerful allies to his will(Dusknoir M-zone and Skarmory). They helped him take the birds down.
So he's good for now but what does the future hold? the elite four? but... unspeakable horrors, level 90 Pokemon! Do they have what it takes to beat them, or the last 2 gym leaders for that matter?

I checked and it seems I can create a full Pokedex (as in, one of every ## of Pokemon) aside from the gen 5 unobtainables between all my games
I'm torn on whether I should really go for it, as opposed to just getting the Pokeball icon on the Pokedex and settling with that.
I already have about 400 of them (not counting those I need to level up, so it's probably around 500) between all my saves from my last attempt.
Man, decisions. I just don't know. Should I? Should I just get the in-game certificate? Argh. My PC box would look so nice but it'll be so tedious. Of course if I'm doing it I'll be getting every Pokemon myself, no help through trading or whatever.
I'll probably just give up midway again... transferring all the Pokemon over would be take the most time.

It'd probably be best to take your time and build it casually, doing it all in one go is sure to burn you out. Especially since you're mostly done already.

There's also the Mareep line, and you can pick up Heracross in Azalea once you get Headbutt. Pinsir/Scyther is also relatively early with the contest.
Yeah, I definitely have to agree that there's some issues. I think my SS run was just Feraligatr, Ampharos and Heracross.
Okay guys I'll seriously get angry if you hold off saying Jumpluff any longer.
