Pokémon Go |OT 3| "No Officer, I'm a Passenger"

I heard a 14 man team couldn't beat one.

Fuck spoofers though. I'd rather not catch a legendary than ask spoofers for help.

you gotta be super low leveled if 14 or 10 can't do it (or all their best stuff is in gyms).

Cuno is easier that Lugia.

I've been in groups of 8 that have taken down Cuno, if you have 9-10 it's been automatic in my experience

10 people couldn't beat a cuno? Were you all low levels?

We were between level 24-30. We are not organised at all, we went in with Dragonites, Tyranitars, Gyarados', Snorlax's and someone with a Blissey. Our original 6 were fainting and we were just re-continuing with the next auto 6 selected mons until the time ran out.

A couple of people in the group had spoofer friends with lvl 35+ accounts so 5 of them joined in and it went down easily. 15 in the lobby but only 10 of us physically at the location.

However, no one in my small town wants to meet up unless the birds in their area, so at a push we get ~10 players rather than 20+ and get thumped by Articuno and Lugia.

Did ten raids this week, I'm Articuno 1/7, Lugia 1/2, and TTar 0/1.
Glad I got one of each Legendary and a lot of rare candy and TMs at least.
Could really do with a second TTar though.

Player level doesn't matter when people start raids with Snorlaxes and Blisseys. The auto team selecting algorithm doesn't help matters to be fair.

Lol. Using a Dragonite against the best Ice Pokemon? Yeah...

Use fire pokemon. Flareons & Arcanines be good. Jolteon can help as well, but fire better. Tyranitar with it'a rock move is an ok pokemon.

Never use a Snorlax / Blissey also. Blissey is one of the worst Pokemon to use.

I have to go with a Dragonite's and Tyranitar. My Flareons are not high in CP and I don't have an Arcanine. I like hoarding stardust, close to 1.5 million and it'd a be crime to start powering up now.

Yeh, I don't want to be the one to go up to a screaming with joy 5yo using Snorlax's and Blissey's and ask him to select suitable mons.

You have enough stardust... Power up your damn Flareons. lol

Also, even if you don't. Stop using Dragonites. I can't imagine they are sticking around too long... lol

Tyranitars are useful though! Stick with those. Those good.

There's no reason to power up Eeveelutions when you can just find lvl. 30 Eevees in the wild pretty easily.

Do IV's even matter or do anything as this point in POGO? Feels like its more about having the right pokemon with the ideal movesets to do as much DPS as possible.

Wtf is gym battling not allowed after a certain time? I kept trying to battle in a gym and after I'd KO the first Pokémon I'd get network errors and need to restart the app, then the first mon would have its cp replenishes suddenly :(

Anything else I've done tonight has worked just fine

May have to power them up, I figure there'll be a reasonable group of people making last minute attempts to get an Articuno today.
Using Dragonites is probably the reason why the time runs out and we all end up using 8-9 Pokemon each in the end.

It changes to Moltres 5pm Pacific time apparently. Make sense as people leaving work at that time. I guess us in UK will have a chance till raids stop today.

Typical Manchester weather, rain. Having no Golden Razz's either is going to make it so hard to catch Cuno today.

Don't raids for a given day end at 5pm Pacific though?

raids stop spawning around 5:45pm local time for me.

which would be 3:45pm Pacific time so I guess that means I won't have a chance to get one today.

to be fair in general I find it super stupid raids spawn from about 5:15am to 5:45pm would much prefer if they were shifted 2 hours forward both ways to 7 to 7 so that the last of the raids are wrapping up around 9 instead of at 7:45.

as it currently stands my wife when she gets off her job at 5 basically has one raid spawn wave to catch anything .

Not sure, here in UK, they go on spawning till 8pm local time so depending on the time, we have till 10pm for a final dash at a raid.
Was at a Lugia one at 7:30pm yesterday and a Cuno raid spawned nearby until around 9pm.
I thought 10pm was the cut off everywhere to stop kids being out at that time and people just driving to raids quickly.

Still cuno this morning :(

Give me moltres please

Will most likely be this afternoon, so most likely tomorrow given that raids end around 7 PM PST for me (Final raids pop at 5 / 5:30 PM PST so the legendaries last until 7 PM)

Meaning I'll have Saturday and Sunday this week to try and get Moltres.

The significance of IVs was eliminated with the gym update. It mattered a lot for the big 7 as you would get higher CP and better placement. It mattered for prestigers because you had to get just the right CP to max prestige per battle. And while I didn't dabble in it, it mattered for bubble straters too.

But then gyms were ruined. And then ruined even more recently as the decay rate was increased for some stupid reason. Apparently the community just wants every gym to be an assortment of punching bags that you can beat without even looking at the screen. Who out there likes this? Nobody in my area that's for sure, everyone I've chatted with at raids has concluded that gyms are pointless. We want out turf war game back.

So what are IV's good for now? Well, a high attack IV may let you do 5% more damage to a raid boss until your mon faints. Big whoop. For raids, what matters is: # of people > high level mons w/type advantage > movesets > lag >>>>>>> IVs.

Nah, I like gyms now. Rarely ever bothered with them before. Higher turn over. There were some lwve l 10 gyms in my area that were never going down. My main problem now you have no control over when you get your coins.

I have hatched 1000 eggs and never hatched a Chansey.
Feeling like I'll never get one, and tempted to evolve my shitty one that I caught to get Blissey in the Dex.

Also still need a god damn Sun Stone so I can evolve Sunflora. I've had about 12 King's Rocks now, I just dump them.

Gyms are great now. They just need to find a better balance for the CP decay and maybe base coins earned on the day you put a Pokémon in, not the day it returned.

The should grant you the ability to summon your pokemon home. This would also give other players an opportunity to get into gyms that would otherwise be full.

That would make it too easy for spoofers. Can't make it too easy for them. I think why you have to wait ten minutes to add a Pokemon to a gym that's been defeated if you're not all on the Pokmon inventory screen together is to combat multi-account spoofers. The spoofers in my area don't even bother to put their secondary accounts in anymore.
