Hopping on the Snorlax train, found my first one recently:
Other highlights over last week: Evolving Jigglypuff and Clefairy to Wiggly and Clefable for the first time and rolling their best attacker movesets (Pound/Hyper Beam and Moonblast).
Lows: Getting my first Vileplume and Victreebel...and no grass charge move on either. Would've been nice to have something to blow out the 2k+ Vaporeons plaguing my area.
Also got a Flamethrower Flareon off a perfect Eevee. Still powering it, but wish it had Fire Blast.
RNG is a rollercoaster at times.
It's a shame about that Vileplume and Victreebel. I've been lucky when it came to the Pokemon that actually matter. Nidoking and Nidoqueen were my biggest fails, but water weakness reduces their usefulness regardless of moveset. I still think Stone Edge is best for Nidoqueen, because you really want to hit Flying types hard.
I am disappointed my Clefable didn't turn out good (Zen Headbutt and Psychic), but my Wigglytuff is good (Pound and Play Rough). When I finally hatch a Squirtle, I will finally try for a Blastoise. It has a high chance of getting screwed, but I have 176 Squirtle candies. I will have two chances by then, since these candies are easy to get.
I really don't fuss over IVs as much as some here. My Snorlax hatched at 73.3%, but it will still hit 3024 CP at max level! A perfect Snorlax caps at 3135 CP. Overall, my Snorlax is still really good. Even your wild Snorlax will hit 2992 CP, but its lopsided stats make it undesirable to use.
I'm at a point where I have to spend money if I want new Pokemon in my area. There are several ones that I have never encountered in the wild, and it will stay that way.
