Throwing excellent and great throws and then having the Pokemon escape from the ball like 90% of the time is the most tiring shit ever. I welcome the Plus so that I can catch Pidgeys, Weedles and Rattatas in peace.

if it's that big of a deal... you could always take out your phone when the light goes off and use the balls you want
I know, the whole point is convenience, but the failure rates are just too high made even more possible by only using the normal Pokeballs. Just too many other shortcomings for me to hold onto it.
I already save tons of Battery power by using Wakey and the Battery Saver when it's on, so I'll see if my sister wants it, if not I'll probably throw it on B/S/T on here.

Ok thanks. I was just reading up on how to counter Exeggutor and I have this 91% Venomoth that has bug bite and bug buzz... Looks like it could be more useful than I thought. I'll see how he does and maybe power him up some.
Venomoth is weak to Psychic and Exeggutor hits like a truck. Best counters are Fire and Flying types.

Caught a Vaporeon with Water Gun and Hydro Pump on my alt account. And then caught a dratini.
Evolved my Omanyte, and got water gun/ancient power for Star. Ancient Power's a crappy move right, is he worthless now? He has 91% IV too
Pretty worthless. ;_; Even Rock Slide was great to kill those Lapras with ur Omastar.

Well, saw a Gengar pop up on my sightings but I couldn't track him down in time. On the bright side I finally got the last 10k egg I needed for my stockpile. It took almost a week to get the last one. I have 9 of them now, already on their way to hatching.

Crap, I already wasted some dust on impulse. I have a 91% maxed out Flareon with Ember and Fire Blast, pretty sure that'll do better then
what a waste. He had such a bright future as Omanyte. I wish we could change moves somehow in the future. This dice roll can be so frustrating. I'm one gastly away from making my 93% Gengar, hopefully he has decent moves. Is he actually worth having at a gym? Hardly see any Gengars.

Heres hoping Niantic adds TMs pretty soon. I think the buddy system would have been a good way to introduce them. Perhaps have them as a rare bonus drop along with candies, or just add them on to the pokestops. Also, sadly I think Gengar isn't that good at the moment.

Skimmed the last two pages, didn't see any post regarding this.. but has anyone's distance tracking been kinda off today? It hasn't tracked hardly any of my distance, I should have gotten at least 5km and the game has only tracked about 2km.

Wish I had some good Arcanines! I evolved 2 so far, both with crappy movesets, so not work investing in yet.
It will happen for you eventually. Been playing since launch, so eventually got enough to evolve Oddish, Bellsprout & Poliwag. I love my Gengar, but it's max CP kinda sucks :/
For Dragonite/Gyarados, guess I'm a little lucky. I work next to a pond, so I see water pokemon often. So mainly magikarps/etc. But occasionally I will see a Dratini!

I didn't know you were in Cleveland too! yeah, there's tons of Jynxs downtown. Especially by Browns Stadium.
You ever play by the Rock Hall and Science Center?
Mine has been acting really weird. It won't show the added distance walked for a while, then all of a sudden it adds like 1km when I'm already at home relaxed. I had an egg hatch suddenly 1 hour after walking to the office.

Just hatched four 10km eggs, got an onix, lapras (1687, 14/14/14, frost breath and ice beam), aerodactyl and electabuzz. Didn't have neither lapras nor aerodactyl, so that makes it 113/114. And with that electabuzz I replaced the previous two which were way smaller.
Made it to L30, got 1420 coins, was thinking about getting the 25 eggs x 1250, but got 4 still left... then thought about getting some more incubators, or just upping the pokemon limit, I'm kind of juggling right now (mostly because I got like 23 eeves and 14 of its evolutions).
By the way, today I took down a L7 gym (1900 Snorlax, Vaporeon, Lapras, Dragonite, Arcanine, Dragonite, 2800 Dragonite), took me 40 minutes, and could experiment a bit. What really surprised me is that my 1900 vaporeon with hydropump could virtually beat both last dragonites. I used to send my jolteon army, but I think I'm changing strategies. One more thing, while I didn't get the "dodged" message, I swear I could minimize Lapras' blizzard with a timely dodge.

really paying money is pretty easy
in the time it would take you to take over gyms and collect you could pick up a random side job and make enough money to get more than enough coins for incubators.

So, I'm going to spend money on this game. I'm getting a $40 pack, and I'm hoping it won't be a total bust. I need a multiple 10km egg hatching to make this money worth it. The PokeCoins will be spent entirely on Incubators, and they will only be used on 5km and 10km eggs. My gym rewards will now shift to Lucky Eggs. I still haven't had much need for extra item and Pokemon storage yet, but it's something to consider.
It would be more desirable to just spend a few days catching rare Pokemon in a big city, but trips also cost money. So, I'm just going to stick it out in this place for now. My sessions used to be a few hours when my Pokedex was fresh, but I've really hit the point of diminishing returns here. I can get good Defender bonuses here, but I would easily trade that for better Pokemon selection.
It would be more desirable to just spend a few days catching rare Pokemon in a big city, but trips also cost money. So, I'm just going to stick it out in this place for now. My sessions used to be a few hours when my Pokedex was fresh, but I've really hit the point of diminishing returns here. I did not have an Arcanine. Go out on a walk with the dog, one pops up, hunt is on.
I find it, and... It's a "???" Arcanine. I get all excited, waste like 15 super balls on it. It's a 1400 CP, perfect moveset and high IV's.
Felt so good.
Then you realize you just spent 2 hours and probably over $2 in gas to earn less than $1.50 worth of coins

you get stardust, for some reason it's just delayed. trust me I was getting annoyed too until I restarted the app and noticed I had a few hundred dust more than before

I used up the 150 coins I earned by placing my Pokemon at gym for an egg incubator instead of a backpack upgrade. Since I take the train to work and there is dozens of Pokestop to refill my backpack along the trip, the egg incubator is preferable for me to hatch all that 5km eggs...
Anyway a wild Wartortle just spawned right at my apartment area and sucky IV is sucky. At least I'm getting the candies to groom my hatched Squirtle.

Finally evolved another Nidoking. This time got the Poison Jab for the Quick Move. Yes!. But Megahorn as the Strong, a bug move... lol.
So I now have a Nidoking with Poison Jab / Megahorn and another with Fury Cutter / Earthquake. lol.
Though, looking at the lists out there, Poison Jab / Megahorn combo is still decent. Maybe I should start leveling him up.
