Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

just realised i can also access my gym from my bedroom too. Have been sitting stocking up on pokeballs for ages now will go walk in the morning.

I said I wouldn't get it but it's raining and here I am...

AND there's no pokemon near me besides Ratata - no Pokestops either. This is what I get for living next to a state park.

Go outside.

Doesn't always work. I live in a rural/heavily wooded area with mostly farms and ranches and stuff. I can walk miles in any direction and not have Pokemon appear nearby. I finally got to catch some when I went into town earlier today, but zero Pokemon appeared on my walks around home and I've had the app since day -1.

So I noticed people saying your surroundings matter but does it have to be natural? Like, if I fill my bathtub with water will that increase the chance of getting a water Pokemon in my house?

If I go to a Psychic will I have a higher chance to catch a psychic Pokemon?
lol
I'm 311 candies away from Gyarados ... :(
Well you're beating me. Little by little...
If your Pokemon gets beaten at a gym whilst you're absent, do you get it back without having to return to the gym?
You get it back, all beaten up.

Argh, it's absoloutely driving me crazy that it hasn't released in Canada yet....and now it sounds we'll be waiting even longer.

Not willing to use the work around as it sounds too risky.

In the mean time keep the stories coming guys, it's making the wait more bareable.

For two entire days my Pokémon Go doesn't show any pokemon, gym, or anything at the map! My friend, in the same region I am, has it installed and can play normally.

What could have happened?

May I have been banned, besides not receiving any note about it?

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious but when you catch a Pokemon is there an easy way to compare duplicates so you know who to transfer?

Can you catch more than 1 Pokémon whilst the Incense is active? A noob question I'm sure that has been answered a bajilion times.

The game is such a mess right now at least you can look forward to a better experience.

Try to walk accordingly to the nearby pokemon indicator

God, I'm so pissed. There was a scythe that is 2 footstep away from me but I can't seem to find it. After 5 min after, it disappeared :(

College campuses seem to have quite a few PokéStops/gyms. I walked around Ohio State earlier today (and will again pretty soon...) and I've been getting work done.

Fuck it, after the IGN news i went ahead and made a US account

I just hope i won't risk anything once it launches in EU

Pokemon GO as "Rest of the world you can GO f*** yourself"

Honestly, the best part of this terrible launch has been that it has incited me to post more on GAF (to complain about region restrictions) which will get me to member quicker.

Unless I get banned for complaining

Damn, I was running around in my small german town with two friends and we catched a good amount of Pokémon. And the most fun part was, when we saw another guy running around with the app. Absolutly incredible how popular this game already is while it isn't even official released here.

I wasn't even planning on downloading this, but a few of my coworkers kept going into my boss's office because for some reason, her office is the home of valuable pokemon.

She was beaten to the punch by every co-worker and only got a Pidgey.

This was so amusing to me today that I need to see what the fuss is about.
