Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

wish I had more Pokestops around me. out of Pokeballs right now and I'd really have to go out of my way to get more while I got Seadras and things popping up in while I'm bed everytime I open the app

It's seems like every night around this time a rare Pokemon spawns at the poke stop nearest to my house. 2 days ago was a Magmar, yesterday was a Seadrya and now today a Kingler. Do I keep going out to get them or just let them be?
Hmm, I've had the same thing with a Dratini over the last couple of nights. I haven't actually found it, but it's "near".

Might have to check out the Pokestop.

How does the grading system for catches work? I got an excellent catch today and I think it gave me 100 extra XP, skipped ahead too quickly to verify.

Man this game is addicting, which is why I think you should get 10 to 15 free pokeballs a day if you have none. I guess the current system forces you to get out of the house for supplies but it's still frustrating to run out when you don't have any pokestops near home. I've already bought like 200 balls because I keep running out.

Meanwhile at Niantec, "All according to keikaku..."

Fuck, I need to look at how to train my mons and level them up.

Fucking blue team has the gyms near me on lockdown with some nasty mofos

i warned my brother in law that the revolution was coming (blue and yellow gyms around their place as far as the eye could see). arrived today and everything was a beautiful, strong red.

Damn... ;___;

Luckily the gym by where I work is red (last I checked) but the two close to home are both scoundrel blue. I only just hit Level 5 today though so I can only do so much.

That sucks, I didn't know it was that big of an issue for those who don't have pokestops around them. I live in the perfect middle between two accessible pokestops so I'm constantly having to throw items out because my bag gets full. Probably thrown out like 500 pokeballs by now lol

Just uninstalled the app at work. Heard people chatting about it. Realized it didn't feel like Pokemon, nor would it have enough staying power as the loop isn't that engaging.

I can see why the social aspects could get people, but I would rather laugh from the side lines.

I'll return if they make it feel like Pokemon, otherwise excited for Sun and Moon.
yeah lol at the people having fun and not being hardcore and mlg

There are four PokeStops here and someone is always using a Lure on all of them. Caught 4 Jynx, countless Gastlys, Seels, Jigglypuffs, and Clefairies because of it.

What's up with Team Valor? Must have had 3-4 cars passing by, rolling down their windows, just to shout that. lol

Has it been discovered what the faint blue spot behind some of your Pokémon means (in your Pokémon list)? It's been bothering me for a while.

Tomorrow is jogging day. These mofos are gonna hatch it the blink of an eye.

I have a 2km one incubating and I hope it gives me a Squirtle, Charmander or Pikachu but deep inside I know it will be a Pidgey.

PokemonGO is getting people dates?!

What is happening.

The app does a great job of getting people outside and to go to places where they normally wouldn't go, especially at different times of the day. I went out to the park near me on a day I normally would've just stayed inside after working out, but I figured the park is only a 1/4 mile away I can grab the 2 gyms and some supplies while other people are staying in. If it wasn't for pokemon go I probably would've been playing a game or watching tv since it wasn't much of a pool day.

Missed this before! Awesome post. And dude congrats on the date. That's now the fourth I've heard about resulting from PoGo.

And man

Hell yeah! That sucks about the kids cursing out the younger kids. Everyone I've bumped into has been so chill and in a great mood. I love when the little impromptu group that form has like an obvious age span of like 25 years. It's like yeah, what, pokemon trainers come in all shapes and sizes.

Word. I always ask who it was and shake their hands and offer them MVP status, especially if they brought me to a location I'd never been before which has now happened 4 times.

Thanks dude. It was nice to randomly bump into her and things just happened from there. She wasn't playing, but the game put me somewhere that wasn't my house and just about anything can happen.

Then earlier when I was working out I saw a couple of teens from my fellow team instinct that I met on Friday using the weights in the gym. They looked like they weren't completely sure of everything so I went over and talked with them and asked if they needed and help or a spot. They haven't been to the gym too often so I gave them some pointers and things to remember. I couldn't help for too long since I take this one class one of my friends runs, but I could tell I made them feel more relaxed since the gym atmosphere can be intimidating to some.

It's terrible some people have used the game to do very bad things, but in most cases it seems like it has brought more people together and people are more friendly. People form impromptu hunting parties and just talk about all sorts of randomness. It's too bad the servers went down tonight it looked like the park was crowded and there were a pair of lures by the bay pokestops. I packed up my dinner and a snack and walked halfway to the park only to realize the app wasn't connecting. This couple laughed when I told them the servers were down and I canceled my walk... They were in search of a Hitmonchan (I told them where they always spawn) and they followed me out of the park after their apps crashed.

Hatched a glorious CP 339 Psyduck this evening... Which I find hilarious because the game froze when it was trying to hatch.

Also, I've begun Operation Gyarados today and caught 8 Magikarp so far.

Managed to level from 10 to 13 today from all the pokémon I've managed to catch after work.

Now if only the app would stop freezing/crashing...

I've also discovered that Brennan Park in San Francisco is practically a breeding ground for Charmanders. There were so many when I was hanging out over there, along with other PokéGo players.

Yeah my body's been sore but probably will end up hitting up a local park with a few pokestops nestled in there and do a little morning jog to hatch some eggs.

There's a level 7 gym at my university with its two strongest Pokemon being two CP 2148 Dragonites. There was a cluster of 4 pokestops nearby, all with lure modules, and I could stand in middle of them all and be in range. Universities are great Pokemon breeding grounds.

man they set up shop in a bar downtown tonight, i want to go so bad but the adult is reminding the kid eternal in me that I got two hours of sleep last night because of hunting pokemon and I actually have a job to go to in the morning.

My eggs are also less than 2k each from hatching... and I have a Lucky Egg to use....

No, time to sleep, tomorrow is a fine day for searching far and wide.

edit: Level 11, been so happy about what I have been able to accomplish and progress without spending any money.

I feel closer to and better in general about my local community than I have in years (except for the Valor people of course). it's really quite something.

Damn you!!!! I need more balls, goddamnit.

Not much happened for me today, but I did manage to evolve an Eevee into Flareon.
2nd favorite Kanto Pokémon, 4th overall, so it was pretty significant.
Got super hyped at a restaurant though, and startled a bunch of people.

I had to send feedback to Ingress about a lack of explanations all around but especially with Gyms/Battling because holy shit, they didn't even try to explain how to do your Pokemon's 2 attacks.

Got out of work at midnight, drove to a park and saw like 6 lures. There were a ton of people still there walking around. I parked at a lure and caught mons for like 30 mins before leaving. This game is so great lol.

Wtf :( charmander appeared by my house and my sister and I went to go get it and mine was 10cp and hers was 76. I'm a higher level than her but she constantly gets higher cp pokemon than me.

You might want to try force closing the app and logging back on (and hopefully it's there). My friend's game froze while trying to catch a Jynx that was 670CP and had to quit because his game froze. When he logged back on she was about 200 lower. Might be a worthwhile trick to try out. I haven't tested it.
