What do you use Fire Fang for? It's such a weak move that I don't see it being worth it most of the time.
I would guess that Fire Fang is there to hit Steel types hard, which resist both of Mawile's STAB attacks.
Sucker Punch will still hit Steel types. I think you'd get more mileage out of Protect or Iron Head over Fire Fang.
Yup, plus its very powerful coming from Mega Mawile. Even without the Swords Dance. It helps hit things like Skarmory, Klefki other Mawiles.
Let me share some damage calcs:
252+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Mawile: 116-138 (73.8 - 87.8%)
252+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Mawile: 108-127 (68.7 - 80.8%)
In the end it will still take two hits to KO another Mawile no matter which move you use. Fire Fang falls short of KOing max Defense Klefki as well. As far as Skarmory goes you probably won't even be able to 2HKO if it has an HP recovery item. You don't see very many Skarmory in VGC though.

Protect is more useful there. I was using Protect / Iron Head / Play Rough / Sucker Punch I think because last thing I wanted was to miss with Play Rough on a KO I needed.

Lol, seriously though, I never considered that. I have Fire Fang on my Mega Mawile and I never use it. I definitely would like to mess around with Taunt, Protect, or Iron Head instead.

The first three are critical (though I guess you could get a Hippowdon instead) while the latter three are just what I have on hand.

My suggestion is to breed a bunch of Ralts with Synchronize, and make sure you have all the natures you want covered. Makes it so much easier catching things with the right nature.

I've been working doubles but as soon as the bank opens up I'm going to bring my singles team over. Wailord opening, Garchomp and Gengar/Electrive to close. It did pretty well last gen.

Wait, this is a lie. Because of how I started breeding, I have near perfect Elekids and Larvitars, so four (species) bred to relative perfection. Natures are everywhere... except on the Pokemon I'm actually training.
