Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

Yeah, most of the art I see in pixiv involve turning them into "kemonomimi moes". You know, like, "I can't draw this Pokemon so instead I'll just draw a random human and add some random pokemon features!" And maybe, "I think I'll turn that into a supercute character so that I'll get more hits!"

(You above 2 need to grow up :/. Its no shock that Pokemon has a highly active and devoted porn fan-base. Allot of those furries got some real skill).

No, I'm not going to accept that "growing up" has anything to do with this s*** being acceptable.

Back on Topic, does anyone get the feeling that the more of the game is revealed, the less changed it can really be. For instance, I think we have the battle system at least 85% locked into place. Animation for news, sleeker HUD, etc. But rather than get excited about these, it's more like, welll I guess "XY and Z" can't happen. But then again, we don't really know for sure.

I personally don't care about the graphics (i really like them as is and i turn off battle animations) or big changes to the battle system (i love it how it is). All i want is for some refinements to the current system particularly in regards to double battles.

The main thing i want is to speed up the process of breeding and raising a decent pokemon. If this doesn't happen i will be sticking with the current gen.

Yea, I guess a lot of things overall just take two long to do.

And I don' think it'd be hard to fix.

I'm just burned out. I love making all sorts of different pokemon teams and battling with my friends but it is just annoying how long it takes to put together a new team.

I don't see why it would hurt the franchise to improve on this. They are mostly trying to appeal to casual gamers and i doubt they would mind breeding and raising pokemon becoming a little less tedious.

Never thought I'd be burnt out on a Pokemon game considering how much I love the franchise. Was excited for HG/SS and I'm still extremely surprised I didn't finish. Really is time for raising Pokemon to be less tedious, but the game seemingly gets more complicated every generation. I did like the addition of the power items this time around, but everything still takes way too long. I guess playing competitively is supposed to be another level of play anyway, but still would welcome a change.

I'm actually the opposite. HeartGold was the first Pokémon game I have beaten since Silver. Well, not completely beaten, but I got through the E4 #1 and all 16 trainers. I do agree, however, that some things take a lot longer than they should.

they really need to fix the grinding aspect. raising pokemon once you are quite a bit in the games has been painful since the first generation. they tried to remedy this in DPP but it still sucked. the guys you can face everyday had shitty pokemon that gave out a low amount of exp. and don't get me started on HGSS. these bastards rarely call for a fucking battle. it's usually about unimportant bullshit. trying to raise my Dratini is fucking painful.

my solution: make a tournament style competition like the Battle Frontier but you get exp and can access it like the Pokeathelon Dome. and give them real pokemon. I want some challenging shit. not that 4 Clefairys and a Clefable bullshit.

Platinum was fine for me when I was training my Pokemon because the levels are all balanced, especially when you get to the island after the Elite 4. The levels are all over the place in HGSS though and it is the only Pokemon game where I have trouble levelling my Pokemon. Because the VS seeker is no longer in the game, until you get to the league or the Saffron dojo you have to rely on wild Pokemon to grind and they are all so weak.

One of the most disappointing things in the game for me was getting to Kanto and seeing that all the wild Pokemon are level 8 Pidgey and Rattata that I fought when I first started the game.

Just put the EXP Share on the Dratini and continue as usual. I never had to grind once I could read English.

that's what I'm doing. though that is being put on hold while I attempt to catch Ho-oh

Well, the point is that, even with an exp.share you're going to spend a huge bunch of time grinding the Elite 4. It gets boring after the first or second time you can wipe them with just two pokémon and some potions.

If they're too easy after the first time then that means you grinded for nothing. Like I said I never needed to grind once I was able to know what I was doing. If you approach the E4 with some decent strategy you should be able to do it with lower levels.

In HGSS I haven't done the league yet (taking a break), but my friend has been able to do it with all his Pokemon at level 39. He used Jumpluff, Taurus, Heracross, Noctowl, Espeon and Sandslash, and he also went through the game only fighting trainers.

Edit: He switched his Sandslash for the red Gyarados

Hey everyone.

This may be OT, but I felt this is the only appropriate place to post this in so...

...Does anyone have or know where I can get the GIF battle animation sprites of the starters?

I love them and I want to put them on my website.

One of the bigger improvements they could make is of course having a wider variety of Pokemon in the wild and owned by other trainers. Trying to complete the Pokedex right now, and it's like... I've never even heard of some of these Pokemon (although that's partially Gen 3's fault for introducing way too many), it'd be a huge boon to the games if the 300+ or so non-legends, base 1, and base 2 Pokemon were in the wild and in other trainers' teams.

Yeah, starters should be findable in the wild imo. They're not really that spectacular battle-wise (you can find better ones in the wild), so why limit them to just a single one?

Maybe not in the wild necessarily, but other trainers should definitely have them.

Yeah, I think that the people who like them pretty much already like the "anime style" more anyway. :/

I'm finding that the deviant art stuff is MUCH more unique and in allot of cases better composed/ rendered.

And as for the starters, thats why I think few people in the Pokemon world really WANT to be Pokemon trainers. Allot of them just pick up w/e Pokemon they think is cool with a Pokeball they got from the store, not having a all the shit the Prof gives you to start your journey. For them that would be a waste because they don't want to become Pokemon masters . . . they just take it as a hobby.

I would like for you to have a group of like 8 trainers are you "rivals" because you all started at the same time but from different locations.

Well maybe not that common. Make the starters a bit rare. After all, powerhouses like Gible are found in the wild too.

Torchic being available in Pokewalker is a good sign.

Oh yeah guys Sinnoh League Victors hits June 5th, was just confirmed last night.

Indeed.

I never had to grind in Emerald, Pearl, Platinum, or HeartGold.

I typically defeat every NPC trainer in the game and never bother to fight wild Pokemon. This gives enough EXP to squeak by the Elite 4 in each game. I beat the Plat E4 at around level 50 and the HG E4 (first part) around level 38.

The only thing I've had to grind for was the Red battle in HGSS.

I think it's more about grinding for the endgame. There are 100 levels in the game, maybe it should be easier to achieve it? I'm not even suggesting making guys grow faster, it's more like by the end of the game you should be fighting level 100 mons.

I have a pretty good, quick strategy for grinding. Exp share grind against elite 4 until your pokemon is level 50 or so, then wreck the gym leader of your choice over and over in the saffron city dojo, with a lucky egg equipted. My suicune went from level 40 to 60 in a day like this. Its level 80 a week later, and i play on and off.

Hey I haven't been in this thread in a while maybe there's some news.

It won't if it ain't popular.
They know how to hyper promote this thing like they did with Lucario, it has a bright future.

Bigger question is . . . will there be a 4th SSB game before the 6th gen? It seems like a once-a-gen deal even if Sakurai said "if fans want anotehr SSB for the Wii I will do it!". So the years it make take for a new Wii to come out + the years it would take to make the game could add up to "more then 4 years" which is the going rate for gen jumps in Pokemon.

The creature wasn't even officially revealed and they were sticking porn of that thing all over the interwebs.

Draw your own conclusions.

That's true of pretty much every new pokemon reveal

Hell, Zoroark is simply a knock off Pop'n Music's "山吹", check here.

Looks more like a Ninetales than a Zoroark to me.

Grinding during the game isn't that much of an issue. I'm more talking about how long it takes to make parties after you have won everything.

I'd love a dungeon that scales it's levels with your Pokémon during endgame. It sounds silly, but I would rather not grind trainers/E4 and instead do general Pokémon instead. I can usually multitask while doing it, instead of having to think about strategy during the E4.

All I want is the ability to rebattle any trainer, any time. No VS seeker, no phone calls... just "wanna battle again?" "Yeah!".

I really like how rebattling in DP and HG/SS makes the trainers team stronger for the first few times too. That's handy. But yes, please just let us battle anytime we want.

Also: I want Colosseums (with EXP gain) as well as gyms. That'd be sweet. You could challenge them as many times as you wanted, too.

Maybe make it so that you can battle them once per day?

The US page has been updated with an announcement of Black and White for the US! It also shows two new Legendary Pokémon: Reshiram and Zekrom.

:O!!!!!!!!!!!

Worldwide simultaneous release PLZ! Edit- Fuck. :lol Should have let the animation play out first.

Still. New Pokemon look simply designed, fits with the names. Never expected PUSA to reveal Pokemon before Japan did, though.

White guy also looks like a flying type. ^_^

Wha...?

For a second, I thought the two legendaries were another fan pic...

Well this is a surprise, wasn't expecting this to come so soon.

BTW, I call Zekrom.

Well they were revealed at about the same time. I think it may have been a little bit earlier in Japan. Japan also announced that their release date will be sometime in September. It was previously just listed as "Fall".
