I'm almost positive that they just added the opposite backgrounds to make them stand out better.

I was on the black bandwagon thinking it would get a better legendary. Gamefreak tricked me and took my legendary to the other game white it is.

I agree. And besides, what would happen to Pokemon like Solrock, Lunatone, Ampharos, and Gardevoir who already fall under a "light" category? Either Gamefreak would need to go back and redo the typing of certain Pokemon or be inconsistent and only give it to new ones.

It would cause too much confusion, I think.

:lol kinda like that for me. Except for the bitching part as i dont really care. Im sure youll get the two legendaries in both games as always, its just my way to decide wich game to buy, as im sure it is for many. Otherwise id just throw a coin.

What I do know is this: My favorite color is black. The Legendary in the white version looks badass. The legendary in the black version looks weaksauce. This fucking sucks.

I've never faced this problem before. When I first got Gold I got it because I liked the color and the legendary. I got Ruby because I liked the color and the legendary. I got Diamond because I liked the color and the legendary. This decade long constant is about to be shattered.

White version should take it's shitty looking legendary that it deserves and give back what rightfully belongs to the Black version.

Hopefully they do something similar like SoulSilver/Heartgold and all my moaning will be for naught. But I get a strong feeling that it's not going to happen.......

And if you do want to use the legendary then get the version with it. "Oh no I get to see the title screen I don't want to see" who cares?
You only see the colour on the box and on the title screen, outside of that they are the exact same game. Get over it.

Not in a retail cartridge At least not to my knowledge.

Without erasing the previous save? No, Pokemon games have never been able to do that.

With erasing the save? Yes but there's some code you have to enter.

It's done because, at least in the DS games, it keeps a backup copy of the save in case it's corrupted or accidentally erased. For games like these with tons of stuff and a big hardcore fanbase, it's actually a godsend.

What's more probable is that they're just forcing parents with multiple kids to buy multiple copies, that's all. I mean, what else can it be.
