We finally get a boy trainer that looks normal. The Beret of the DP guy put my off. :/ And of course the gray hair/hat of the RS guy wasn't the most appealing.

Uh guys, why are people thinking the otter has freckles? The official art in the scans has none.

Starters look really bad. But whats worse, Im about to get the impression that HMs will stay...something important should have been mentioned by now if it was changed :/
Also, the boy trainer looks now like:
- Seto from Fragile Dreams
- the boy from Rune Factory
- and 100s of other game/anime-lead characters

Zoroarks ability is called Illusion (イリュージョン

If you trade over the shiny Entei, Suicune, or Raikou from the the Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark movie ticket preorders, you can battle and capture a Level 25 Zoroark. During the battle, the Monster Fox Pokemon will take on the appearance of the Pokemon you traded over, and at several points it will revert to its original form (probably when weak). When it does, you can attempt to capture it.

Illusion seems really stupid. What's the point? If he changed permanently until he's weak or something, it would cause the most havoc ever in multiplayer (you will always be second guessing online), so there's no way. It has no use in battle.
And I have to wonder how Trickery will work on Shuckle, and if they will make him learn it.

These trainers are noticably older looking. They look like they're teenagers, probably around 15/16? Could be interesting. The old "10 year old is now old enough to train Pokemon" idea was getting a liittttle stale. I'd quite like a more plot-based Pokemon game here (without losing the gyms and stuff, obviously) - and if there's going to be an evil team, make it Rocket or nothing.
I suspect this game is much further along than we think. I wonder what the backwards compatibility will be like?
They should ship each new Pokemon game with a bunch of blank writable memory inside, so they can be modified by later versions to transfer the new Pokemon sprites and data/pokedex to the older games. Is that doable? Make it essentially a patch or dlc for the old games which adds data from the new to allow battling and trading? Obviously you'd still not encounter the new Pokemon in the wild, but it'd be nice if they could at least allow battling and trading somehow with old versions. Surely modern tech can handle this?
