Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

Humm . . . I think I might try to draw a water/ thunder final form for the Otter. Haven't seen anyone try that one and I like the thought of a water/ thunder starter. :)

Make the otter have a Fire/Fighting final form instead. No one would see it coming.

Ever notice how no one in poke world has a life outside of pokemon? It is like their obssessed or something....
I think its actually the other way around.

Pokemon training seems to only be a pass-time to most everyone you face compared to their main thing (Fisher-Man/ Swimmer/ Biker/ Rich guy-or-girl/ Lovers) . . . you and your rival seem to be the only ones with the goal of becoming Pokemon masters when it comes to battles.

Their not so much obsessed as they are like reg people who have pets and like to take about them and arrange like play dates. :/

Also, how can Pokemon understand commands? How does a Pokemon know Fire Fang from Take Down? Aren't the names arbitrary labels humans put on them, and thus Pokemon would be ignorant of this concept?

How about this one for you:

How can a foreign Pokemon you obtain over GTS suddenly understand commands you give in your native language? :o How does my Japanese Ambipom know what I am saying?

It's Ambilingual.

I dunno, the 'ace trainers' you encounter usually seem like they're training to take on the league like you are, and usually have pretty decent teams for the level they're at.

The pokemaniacs you encounter also seem kinda... obsessed with pokemon and catching them all, so there's two of the major 'player groups' catered for by NPCs right there (collectors and battlers).

It might be nice to add a 'master breeder' npc type, who use pokemon with unusual or rare movesets only obtainable by cross breeding to represent the people who play pokemon for the breeding aspects too.

It would certainly make for interesting trainer battles.

All this talk about comparing Pokemon to Digimon made me think of this

I liked Digimon, Angemon was f**king awesome!

But yeah, I don't think I ever really compared the two. Digimon was just another show on in the afternoons to me. I enjoyed a couple of the Digimon games but not really because they were good games, just more because I could make a party of my fav characters and battle as them.

Nothing like my love for Pokemon. :P

The difference between Digimon and Pokemon is eyes.
The difference between Digimon and Pokemon is that Pokemon is far superior.

I wonder, do any mods actually ever visit this thread? There were ones that were locked for less:lol

I sure hope they don't animate Seviper like a damn accordion.
It'd be cool if Slugma and Magcargo glowed a little in their animation.

I wonder if big ass Pokemon will have big ass sprites since they have room 'cause it can just zoom out more

and make all of the smaller sprites look even uglier.

They'll probably recycle some sprites, like what they did to Entei.

Games, maybe, but pet simulation Digimon trumps Pokemon. Anime? Bzzzt, wrong!

Digimon > Pokemon!

What is this, the nineties? :lol

I've been saying it for years. But if theres ever a pokemon that looks like veemon and happens to be a dragon type he will earn a spot on my favorites team, right where umbreon used to be

I found this on the net:

Motherfuckin' magic in this bitch. Sorry for the lack of news though, but I feel this is, uh, possibly relevant to the future of Pokemon.

Well it's something to discuss, I guess. But that would be too obvious if the starters were really following that pattern? Never even realized Cyndaquil was supposed to be a rat, wow. :lol

CyndaQUIL is a porcupine.

As I thought.... My post before I edited, was Cyndaquil as rat is kinda stretching it... But then I realize it's classification does says Fire Mouse Pokemon :S... so now i'm just extremely confused.

Big One said:
No, he's an echidna, actually. But in the games they call him a mouse...which is a rat.
I stand corrected . . . but in my defense I can only remember the Platypus when I think of their family group.

I have no clue wtf Typhlosion is supposed to be. :/

I love pokemon fan art featuring the trainers in some way. Don't really care for the stand-alone pokemon ones usually. Really liking this :)

That looks horrible.

For the most part, it seems like the Japanese kick our ass at fanart. :/

This thread has taught me a lot concerning little facts and such about Pokemon which I always managed to overlook!

Think so? Well I agree usually, but I like the above piece because it's not in the typical anime style. Even though that style tends to be my favorite, love seeing different takes on the franchise.

Although in this case I'm a bit biased, since this person's style kind of resembles mine... but I still have a long way to go anyway.

So what did Pokemon Sunday stuff?

I don't think so . . . I just think its harder to find the great western fan art in the sea of shit.

Hell, I can't even find the JPN fan-art sites and for western stuff Deviant art is the only place I find any. . . and I know theres got to be better places for that.

(Note: Half the Western Pokemon Porn I can find trumps both most Jpn/ Western Pokemon fan art . . . 0_o)

Another vote for Pixiv! Someone in this thread kindly recommended me Pixiv and it became really useful once I became able to navigate it properly. And I will not even touch the latter part of your post... :lol

This thread probably needs to get back on track, before a swarm of mods descends.

I wouldn't talk about this with people.

You have to register first before you can see the full-sized pics. Mandoric helped me here.
And then the tutorial link: http://teruchan.deviantart.com/art/How-to-Registration-pixiv-97389536 :D
Thanks!

(You above 2 need to grow up :/. Its no shock that Pokemon has a highly active and devoted porn fan-base. Allot of those furries got some real skill)

From what I'm seeing I'm not very impressed. :/
Most of them just look like Cuter looking anime styles for these gen 5 starters. 80-90% of them from what I can find have no background either . . . its like their more so making designs than characters.

Allot of it comes off as anime-with-a-extra-layer-of-anime on top. I'm more impressed with what cool stuff I have gotten from Deviant.
