If Wotter really does end up Water/Fighting I might be interested in it. Poliwrath really doesn't live up to the potential of that typing. STAB Waterfall and Close Combat? More priority than you can shake a stick at and powerful moves on both sides of the spectrum. The potential is actually getting me excited.

I'm really afraid that it's going to be Water/Ice, which is beyond boring... Then again, Empoleon sorta look like it would be Water/Ice and it's not, so that's good.

While I'd love it to be Water/Fighting (and it definitely looks the part in the character sheet), I don't think we're going to dodge the awful Water/Ice bullet this time around. It's a type combo that I have never liked (and IIRC, I don't like any pokemon who have it).

Mind you, I never liked the Water/Ice combo since I figured out typings. It was only recently that I realized I didn't like any pokemon with that pairing. So yeah, I don't really care for Lapras.

Sinnoh has made ice types my second favorite type behind water, even if they typically don't fair very well.

Hopefully the type specific fields, items, pokemon placement and the triple battles means typing in B/W will be more balanced. It will be extremely easy to exploit weaknesses much more than it already usually is if not.

Pokemon is half the reason I decided to order a DSi XL :lol Had to import cus of the region locking, but so long as it arrives before Black and White come out I'm good. Should make all the hours I'm gonna sink into it more enjoyable.

Yeah - well, the catalogue number basically confirmed it was DSi Enhanced anyway, but we know why now. So DSi/DSi XL importers are screwed with this one

I mean its an awesome idea and would virtually make these truly able to not need any reliance on older games for new pokefans to attain all pokemon. If it is a rumor then I might as well believe it, it isnt like I havent believe much more ambitious rumors as of late

It's not a rumor, just a wish. Anyway, it could be done, but most other regions would end up even more limited and bland than Kanto in the original Gold/Silver. There's no way you'd get an extra game thrice as big and developed as the main game.

The only time I had to grind was in preparation for Lance R1, he wiped me out pretty badly the first time. Spent some time on Victory Road training up my Gyarados to a high enough level that his Ice Fang could wipe the floor with him. If you're not stingy with potions and revives, the rest of the game is pretty much cake. I do think I lost to Red the first time too, but I don't remember having to grind to face him again, it was just a matter of re-arranging my team and using my moves better.

Sorry to butt in, but is there a list of them somewhere? I'd like to get more mileage out of HGSS on sleepless nights.

Truly the most water filled region. Though I wouldnt mind revisiting Rayquaza's tower and the story was definitely one of the best in the series/

Hoenn is the Wind Waker of pokemon regions. Water that goes on forever, but there's a ton to do and find hidden below.

Me either. Tbh, Id love to see actual side quests similar to stuff you see in Mass Effect, Fallout, Oblivion etc. Stuff that actually takes you off of the main quest with its own set objective and path and people involved. Doing these can also slightly alter the story and maybe give you some kind of fame or have the TV and radio personalities talk about you, I dont know.

If BW has DSi functionality to have something worthless like video chat, it better also have WPA2 compatibility as well. Bark mode being in it is a nice addition tho.
