any tips? I just finished the first 12 stages?
tried Mew but failed
how do I even buy a Great Ball?
I didn't get the Jewel for the issues with the earlier version.
Mew gets much easier once you have a whole team that is super-effective against Mew. Same with Kyogre. They're designed to be easy to beat and catch with the right party due to their time-exclusiveness. They aren't EX- or Mega-hard.
Great Balls can be bought if you fail to catch with a Poké Ball. If you don't fail that in the first place, you never get prompted.
I failed to catch with a Pokeball... and the creature just ran away

You only get the option of a Great Ball if you have 2500 coins to cover the cost.
Just remember that it's usually not worth it to spend a Great Ball unless that brings the catchability to maximum and you've already tried the stage multiple times in a row. The game's RNG can be very finicky.
wanted to use it for Mew.
how should I spend my Jewels or its pretty spend and be spent? haha
With the last 3 days of the competition on a weekend, I'm willing to bet that the placings are going to be shuffling (heh) a lot from here on...
So this game breaking bug just happened to me. I beat Heatran but the round wouldn't end, stuck on the bonus combo screen. A glitched Mega Slowbro appeared to be the problem.
Here's a recording (sorry for the terrible quality).
The more I play the game the more reasons I find to not support it by paying. What if this happened when I got a good catch rate, or used a bunch of coins?
So I ended up using delay disruption, mega start and +5 turns twice trying to S rank Mega Gengar but still failed because there were too much Eevee :/
still can't catch Mew
did anyone catch it with a Pokeball

I've only got 4 more pokemon to catch. Moltres, Blaziken, Heatran and Yveltal. They are all absolute wankers. Any tips?!
Sitting at 4675/94298 in the Mega Lucario competition, with 12177 points. I should be good.
Moltres ain't too bad. I just tried it now to see what it was like again. Beat it with Donphan, Suicune, Kyogre and Aurorus with 18 seconds to spare.
I assume Disruption Delay would be useful, so you can focus on picking apart the central ice column. I did fine without it though : P
God, Blaziken though... shudder.
Got Moltres. You're right. That was easier than I thought. I underestimated how strong my pokemans have become.Moltres ain't too bad. I just tried it now to see what it was like again. Beat it with Donphan, Suicune, Kyogre and Aurorus with 18 seconds to spare.

Ugh, Bronzong, I have trouble getting a S rank. Can get A rank fine for the most part.
Finally caught Gengar. So basically, his ability is removing all other Gengars on the field. Eeehhhh, I can see if you build them up, it can help, but the same can be said for Mega Slowpoke.
I really hope whatever power he has, it's useful enough to help me fight Mega Mawile. I'm getting pretty annoyed with that one.
Got like 70,000th place or so yesterday. Sucks that they lock off stuff like this. I know they always did that with the mainline games with event Pokemon but it seems like its happening more often. Really sours me on the whole franchise. I didn't even buy the remakes which is something I never thought I'd do.

It's posted on the pokemon.com site. It erases the top and bottom lines.
Since there is no distribution date in the Meowth info anymore its probably an ongoing event not meant to end in the near future. Good thingThe Meowth stage is seemingly back (I'm going to stop posting reminders if they keep doing this) so you can use that for coins

Stupid question: I was busy during the last weeks (looking for Amiibos, for once ) and haven't discovered the game before today. Now, I read there're time-exclusive.
Any chance I can do something about it or am I too late, like... almost each time I touch something related to Pokemon? Any advices?
(I'm in Europe, btw, and the software pop up today, although I've played my 3DS at least a dozen days ago, strangely)
Many thanks for the advices...Go to special, lucario is there and if you finish in the top 20k rankings you get a free lucarionite megastone. It ends ~40ish hours from now.
There's also mew and Kyogre which is due to end soon, so make sure you catch them aswell.
If you just discovered the game you might not be able to build up a decent team to get them just yet unfortunately, mew and Kyogre might be possible but probably not the lucarionite megastone
