Just under 6000th place with a score of 17.8k. Feeling fine unless I randomly drop 14000 places.
I spent the 9000 on complexity -1 and it didn't help much, barely in the top 10000 now (EU). I guess my team is not levelled up enough (plus I'm crap). I shouldn't have wasted something like a week on attempts to catch Raikou without items (used them anyway in the end, plus a mega pokeball when 10 remaining seconds worth of % catchability was still not enough). Could have used that time better levelling up the team against this bastard. Oh well, gonna try again, hopefully a level higher on some of my pokemons and this time I'll get the disruption delay as well
Haven't got enough for the complexity powerup and I doubt disruption delay will help me enough. Got about 14000 points but not in the top 10000...this competition is a little too stressful so I'm just going to forget about it and hope they make these Mega Stones available to everyone one day.

In the US. My highest score was about 12k and I just couldn't get it to improve.
Finally caved and splurged on the items. Sitting at a pretty 21k now in 1904 place.

There we go. Finally stopped screwing up enough to get a score of 15197 (no items). Currently 13058 in the US, and based on the last competition and the way things have been moving, that'll probably be enough to hold. I'll keep checking of course, but I think I'm in the clear.

I'd say you'll be cutting it real close, but you might just make it.
I think 10,000 might be slightly too low. 15,000 might have been a nicer number. Having it so low is really stressful no matter how well you are doing, whereas 20,000 was a good number.

No don't day that! I used my ingame gems for coins and blasted away and got to 3,400 or so four hours ago. I don't wanna drop off and tho its unlikely, Pokemon fans are crazy so its certainly possible. O_O
Also lol at 12 gems for coins being able to use like 4 games worth of items and then its over. I'm glad I managed to get so high on my first try. My team was Mega Ampharos, Zapdos, Sceptile, and Emolga. I guess grinding them all to level 7 payed off. Also makes the regular Blastoise an easy catch haha.

If you didn't do it today, you should still be able to see it for a couple more hours.

This has nothing to do with the Event but man that Heracross ability is crazy. Granted I've only been using him to level up but if you manage to keep enough Heracross on the board with the help up Mewtwo Y or Mega Gengar you can consistently get 400+, 500+, 600+ attacks in a row.

15,025 looks okay in the end, was 18,179th with a second to go. I reckon the cutoff in the US must be around 14,800 points.

Are there any videos of people logging 45,000+ points in the Mega Blastoise Event? I just want to see how they more than doubled most of the users in the thread.

That's a relief. I could only muster up to about 15,300 points. Can't remember exactly what I had.

Glad I pulled through without spending coins on it. Not sure how useful Mega Blastoise will be on the stages I'm on, but I'm sure he'll find his time. Mega Lucario proved to be very useful but he pretty much beat Lopunny in almost every way.

I think the black cloud stages are easily cheesable in non-timed stages because you can always hold in place of any icon
