Since it seems possible that a Switch port will be revealed tomorrow on stream i wanted to ask something about the game, is a decent D-pad needed to play it? i'm asking because i only have the default joycons and i was debating if i should buy a second set of joycons for couch multiplayer or give priority to a Pro Controller for the d-pad

The game was designed with the Dpad in mind, which is the only thing that makes me question a Switch release... You would definitely want a Dpad.

There was a Pokken controller released on Wii U that could be used on a potential Switch port.

The world championships are in August, no way a Switch port is out in time.

They need to give the Wii U version what it has long deserved.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the complete character select screen with Croagunk, Darkrai, Scizor and Empoleon included? I do image searches but I can't find one with Empoleon included.

It plays on analog fine, dpad isnt required

Gotcha, i was questioning this just because seeing the movelist of the game i didn't catch any complex inputs, just directional ones

Surely they're not going to make me pay $55 extra just to play as Darkrai

Fuck TPC
I could be wrong, but didn't they say or suggest relatively early in the Wii U version's life that it wasn't going to receive any DLC? This may be a bummer, but hardly a surorise.

I don't see why they couldn't up it by to at least 900p.

Developers target the game performance by the power undocked and then optimize for docked afterwards. At least that's what makes sense to me lol.

It's possible the E3 build isn't complete and the final version will get a resolution bump, like how Splatoon 2 Testfire was only running 720p docked, but is 1080p docked in the retail release.
